Have visited twice over as many years and both were thoroughly enjoyable! As creatures of habit we stuck to the marlin wrap and this time tried the clams - both fantastic! Everything is fresh and generously portioned at reasonable prices. The beachfront setting is a sublime oasis and there are blankets available if you're chilly. On both our visits Diego was solo in running the front of the house - he's super friendly and competent, just know that you may need to have some patience conducive to a lightly-staffed operation but one that is very much worth it. read more

What an amazing place!! The location is breathtaking!! Worth the rough ride out (we rode our e-bikes, not really made for the terrain). It's a slow drive unless you have a dune buggy! Lol! We were greeted by Diago, the founders son who grew up swimming and playing in the water on the property. He told us his grandmother was from France and taught his father French cuisine. We asked for recommendations for our meal ,Diago suggested we try the broiled clams, served in the shell with butter shallots, and garlic, they were juicy and delicious!! we also ordered the guacamole and chips and we brought a plate with different condiments to try. Our main course was the fish of the day which was a Seabass, dusted in coconut flour, grilled with sweet onions, garlic butter, and fresh basil.. to end the meal we had their flan, creamy rich, and amazing! read more

This place had unbelievable food. Not only was the food amazing but the drinks were fantastic. The owner/server was so kind and hospitable. We will be back!! We felt like it was our own secret spot but there were lots of people there. You can hangout all day or just for a meal. It is off the beaten path, 20-25 minute drive on a dirt road which was also the appeal of the secret spot. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! read more

A destination restaurant worth the journey! You will be rewarded with delicious food and strong margaritas for your efforts to get there. Favorites were the fresh fish of the day and coquille St Jacques as good as any fancy French restaurant. Diego is a delight read more

Outstanding discovery five miles north of Loreto on a rustic dirt road. This is a family business that serves pitch perfect food with its whole heart. The setting is stunning--go for that and then be blown away by what awaits. At first you will think you are entering someone's private compound as you pull in and find limited parking. Two dogs will sound the alarm. You're in the right place, and it is a home with the restaurant tucked behind the house on an expansive, covered patio. Pat yourself on the back for being adventurous. No sure what to get? Let Alex guide you--my smoked marlin, shrimp salad was filling and full of earthy flavor and crunch. My husband's sea bass was swimming in lemony butter, Basil and came with rice and jicama salad. It was all delicious--and the margarita, chips and relish dish was a grand start after our sweaty hike by the sea. If you are lucky, you will have several tables to choose from--every table boasts a remarkable view. Take a seat and enjoy yourself. This is truly a remarkable place to be--and bring cash. This restaurant is off the grid; no credit cards. read more

This was the best meal ever. The clams were an amazing treat. I had the Parrot fish and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Our entire party enjoyed every bite of food. The Mai tai's were delicious and the breathtaking views were beautiful. It is hard to come up with anything that hasn't already been said here on Yelp about La Picazon so I guess I'll just confirm that it is all true. It is definitely worth the trip down the old dirt road and I think I'd go as far as to say a trip to Loreto isn't complete without a stop here! Diego provides unmatched service. The food and drinks are excellent and the views are breathtaking. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Baja! It's a bit off the beaten path but is worth the effort! The service that we reserved from Deigo was some of the best that I have ever had, the food was amazing and the views are breath taking! Highly suggest making it here to experience the magic! read more

This is a unique restaurant. The hard part is getting there and it would be helpful if they had more signs pointing the way and assuring you are on the right road. But as others have stated it was worth it. We were greeted warmly by the owners. The prices were a little higher than expected and menu not very large but the service and food quality are exceptional. The ambiance and view can't be beat! We had wonderful Seabass! Bar none, this was my best meal in Loreto in 3 months of living here. Yes, it is a bit of a drive (15 mins down a dirt road), but you won't be disappointed. This is well worth the trip, since the views of Coronodo Island are to die for, the service is TOP NOTCH (Thanks Diego!), the Marlin Burritos, guac, grilled jalapenos, coconut shrimp, and fish of the day were all delicious, fresh, beautifully plated... Oh, and their tequilla shots are served in a large cocktail glass, so bring a designated driver! Don't miss this place! read more

We found La Picazón through word of mouth, (that it was some of the best seafood on Loreto), and we're not disappointed! Food was delicious, service was wonderful, and the private waterfront location was gorgeous. We ordered the ceviche, butterfly shrimp, and yellowtail and loved all of it. A couple things to note if you plan to go: 1) They are only open from 12-5 so plan accordingly. 2) It is fairly remote up a long dirt road and easy to miss. If your GPS flakes out on you (like ours did) once you get on the dirt road, keep going until you see a large yellowish-orange house. There is a small hand painted sign on the gate. A little hard to find but definitely worth it. read more

We stayed at Villa Linda Mar, which is less than a mile from La Picazon, so we ate dinner there twice during our week long stay. The legendary margaritas didn't disappoint and the food was delicious both times. On the first night, I had the scallop wrap and the second time, I ate the coconut crusted Seabass. It was a bit chilly, so the blankets they supplied came in handy. The view is the perfect compliment to the food and Diego is BEYOND patient with all of the questions people throw at him. Well worth the trip even if we'd been staying in town. Oh, and their version of chips/salsa is super yummy... just be careful not to fill up before your entree arrives! :) read more
