Zanahoria morroqui
Quinn A.

It's early to make this kind of prediction, but this might be a top dining experience of 2023. There is a patio for a more casual meal with friends, then there is the intimate interior, with high back chairs, a sofa, and various 2 and 4 tops. The lighting is subdued, and I'm sending a big thank you for the unobtrusive table light that allowed me to see the menu and my meal. They got the light balance just right. Let's just get to it, because the food was wonderful. We started with the Moroccan roasted carrots served with hummus (zanahoria rostizadas). Prepared with pomegranate molasses and pine nuts, pita with zatar. We ordered it to share, then had a little fight over it, to be honest. I would have won, but I was distracted by the ensalada mixta, also ordered to share. Butternut squash, cranberry, goat cheese, pepitas, apple cider vinaigrette. The greens were fresh and crisp and exactly what I needed after too much vacation food. Then the pesca del dia - halibut. Served on a chickpea puree sautéed with fennel and leak, several spears of perfectly steamed asparagus resting beneath it, and a bit of artichoke on top. Every bite was blissful. We also had the pesto linguini with fresh vegetables. Crisp, nothing soggy here. The pesto was bright with that wonderful aroma only fresh basil has. We were entirely too sated for desert, but there were some tempting choices. Full bar, mocktails (I had a great mock mule with muddled blueberries), and bottles of local and imported wines. Service was top notch, dishes were timed to arrive at thier peak, and we were never rushed like you sometimes are in nice restaurants that need to turn over the table. Prices were a bargain for what we enjoyed. If you're in the area make a reservation on their friendly website and treat yourself to a great night out.

Seriously. If you don't make the effort to dine here while you're in this beautiful area, then all I have to say is; your loss! We saved this for our last evening in Loreto Bay and I wish we would've dined here more than once. Great staff! Very attentive. The menu items are original and make use of local ingredients and flavors. We tried to sample something from each menu category...roasted beet salad, papas a la Francesca , vichyssoise, red snapper (fish of the day.) (the vanilla ice cream is also to die for) Amazing food and frankly, reasonably priced. The same quality of food in US would be $5-10 mor per entree. Highlight of our time in Loreto Bay.

Nice restaurant, business casual, indoor/outdoor seating, pets allowed, and a reservation is always a good idea because this place gets crowded. The food was tasty and waiters were attentive.

I loved this place so much I ate there twice. Beautiful, fresh food. Delicious cocktails and wine list. The gazpacho was the best I have ever had. I was also impressed with their commitment to sustainability and supporting local farms, wineries and purveyors. The owners are incredibly nice and welcoming. The patio is beautiful!!!

This is the kind of dining experience that reminds you why eating out can be so special - when every element comes together perfectly. The food was absolutely fantastic. Each dish that arrived at our table was beautifully presented and even more impressive on the palate. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, showcasing the best of what Baja Sur has to offer. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service. Our server Josue was attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our evening flowed seamlessly. Jarret, Victor, and Rivas were equally wonderful - the entire team worked together like a well-orchestrated symphony, each person anticipating needs and delivering warm, genuine hospitality. It's rare to find a staff so completely invested in creating a memorable experience for their guests. The ambience struck the perfect balance - sophisticated yet comfortable, with an atmosphere that made us want to linger over our meal and savor every moment. Entrance is through a generic beige lobby and up a sharply inclined set of stairs. Not sure if elevator is available. Decor was unremarkable. Tables were set on glass tops with cutlery presented in a blue rolled cloth napkin for a touch of class but not reflecting the local handiwork of Mexico. As my arrival was earlier than most other sunset seekers, it was totally quiet in the restaurant. A server quickly came over to attend to me and brought me to the patio where he said I could sit wherever I wanted, which made sense since all tables were available. There are tables for two or four closest to the railing and plenty of other tables into rows behind that to ensure that the balcony view can be enjoyed by many. On the very slow weeknight, I was there a total of four tables they came occupied outside in the hour I was present, which wrapped up around sunset. The service was attentive without being overly intrusive. At one point the owner came by to check on me very politely, introducing himself And inquiring if I needed anything else. I decided it was time for a splurge, so had the lobster quesadilla. It was surprisingly delicious as I expected nothing very much, but was pleased to have it full of chunks of lobster as well as finely diced mild peppers. It came with two different sauces, one in a creamy base, and one the more traditional green tomatillo and pepper sauce. Neither was very spicy. The total for my soda water, and quesadilla was MX535 so about $30. This is a lot of money to pay in this sleepy beach town, so consider half the value to be in the view. This would be a romantic and lovely spot to come on a date for a drink and appetizers. Keep in mind, the prices are not what one pays for most food in the area, so this is more a splurge. Entrees appeared costly, as well, from the menu. As the menu is very brief, it would be fun to see some creative additions that work with local seafood. The menu was not anything special. It was nice to receive an amuse bouche with my soda, of a slice of toast with pico de gallo, but again, nothing extraordinary. TL/dr: great view, high prices make this a treat rather than a staple.
