Huevos La Mision- a must try!
    Dawn D.

Breakfast was tasty and the service was great! The Huevos La Mision- eggs were light and fluffy, fruit was fresh, and the English muffin with avocado on one side and cheese on the other was delish. The chilaquiles with the chipotle sauce were super flavorful.

Wow! We flew into Loreto this afternoon, settled in our lodging, and walked out to the malacon. Randomly chose this restaurant because it appeared to have a terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez -- it does. It was a quiet evening (Tuesday) and there were only a few other diners. We started with a couple of margaritas classically made -- no sweet "slurpy" here, just good old tequila and lime juice on the rocks. Next, I ordered Poblano Chile stuffed with shrimp and my partner ordered Los Olivos Fish (catch of the day). Both were fabulous! But, while waiting for our dinner order, we were presented with a lovely order of the house appetizer -- lightly toasted slices of baguette and tapenade. We basically had a private waiter who discreetly waited balcony side until we asked to order, additional drink, etc. I'm in love with this place and will be back SOON. Dinner with 2 margaritas each: $36 Back for breakfast this am. Still 5 stars. Great value. Huevos Rancheros and Scotty's Scramble. Breakfast: $22

The breakfast here was fabulous this morning! The Eggs Benedict were the best I've ever had! My wife had the American breakfast with ham, O'Brien potatoes, beans & toast. Muy rico! The view of Loreto Bay was breathtaking on the terrace while we enjoyed our meal. Kudos to our waiter Javier & the great chef behind the scenes! Would highly recommend!

We came here with family tonight for the first time for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome from staff. We were seated at a beautiful outdoor table overlooking the sea and the malecon and so the setting was beautiful. Erick was our waiter for the evening and we couldn't have asked for a better and more attentive waiter. He anticipated our needs, made great suggestions however was never hovering or intrusive. The food was incredible. Everything put in front of us was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and delicious. From the tapenade, Caesar salad, soup, entrees of fish, and the special molcajete it was the best we've had in Loreto. Al this was topped off with a wonderful cheesecake and tiramisu. Thank you chef and many thanks to the awesome wait staff

Lovely view, limited menu, pleasant service but high prices for all…read more Came to enjoy the sunset which was truly stunning from this second floor restaurant. Entrance is through a generic beige lobby and up a sharply inclined set of stairs. Not sure if elevator is available. Decor was unremarkable. Tables were set on glass tops with cutlery presented in a blue rolled cloth napkin for a touch of class but not reflecting the local handiwork of Mexico. As my arrival was earlier than most other sunset seekers, it was totally quiet in the restaurant. A server quickly came over to attend to me and brought me to the patio where he said I could sit wherever I wanted, which made sense since all tables were available. There are tables for two or four closest to the railing and plenty of other tables into rows behind that to ensure that the balcony view can be enjoyed by many. On the very slow weeknight, I was there a total of four tables they came occupied outside in the hour I was present, which wrapped up around sunset. The service was attentive without being overly intrusive. At one point the owner came by to check on me very politely, introducing himself And inquiring if I needed anything else. I decided it was time for a splurge, so had the lobster quesadilla. It was surprisingly delicious as I expected nothing very much, but was pleased to have it full of chunks of lobster as well as finely diced mild peppers. It came with two different sauces, one in a creamy base, and one the more traditional green tomatillo and pepper sauce. Neither was very spicy. The total for my soda water, and quesadilla was MX535 so about $30. This is a lot of money to pay in this sleepy beach town, so consider half the value to be in the view. This would be a romantic and lovely spot to come on a date for a drink and appetizers. Keep in mind, the prices are not what one pays for most food in the area, so this is more a splurge. Entrees appeared costly, as well, from the menu. As the menu is very brief, it would be fun to see some creative additions that work with local seafood. The menu was not anything special. It was nice to receive an amuse bouche with my soda, of a slice of toast with pico de gallo, but again, nothing extraordinary. TL/dr: great view, high prices make this a treat rather than a staple.
