The food is incredible for the price. This is a drive thru/fast food place and it is so fresh and delicious. Shavon in St. Paul helped me and made we realize that good people are there and care and was so friendly and personable. Drive through is really slow. I ordered 2 chillitos and they tried to tell me it was 17something. Wow. They had the orders all messed up. I do like the chillitos. I used to get the mild but this time for one mild one hot. I don't think there is a lot of difference in heat, but the hot does have more flavor. I will go back to try more items. I would never go against the Hive, and hot sauce in my bag swag is all cool and everything...but have you guy every saved a Green Chilito in your purse for later? Service was super super fast, everything was hot, delicious, affordable. Its true, they have had some ups and downs in the opening, but we ordered like $50 worth of tacos and they all put it together in like 8 minutes. Next time im going through the drive through. 1. Green Chilitos...I will order them every time- they are individually wrapped and they fit in my purse. 2. Carnitas tacos- pretty good. The staff refused me restroom even though I had every intention to purchase after my need use the facility. I explained I was going to make the purchase after I was done and told them I have Crohn's disease. It's against federal law to deny someone with Crohn's disease even if I had no intention to make a purchase. Even if they had NO public restroom and only an employee restroom they would, by law, permit access to their workers restroom. The owner better inform their workforce of the law because I intend to come back in a few weeks and test their knowledge but this time I'll have a hidden camera ready. WOW NO. I really never expected to witness blatant RACISM towards Latino people at a MEXICAN restaurant of all places. Today, 11/15/23 at 2:15, at the location on 7th and Davern, I witnessed an employee greet a Latino couple BY SAYING "HOLA," then tell them that trying to order in Spanish was "gonna be a a problem," and REFUSE SERVICE TO THEM. After they left I heard this person and the other employees MAKING FUN OF THEM in the back. Needless to say I will not be returning and I DO NOT RECOMMEND. If could give negative stars I would. I was so happy to see Zantigo make a comeback several years ago. It was my high school destination back in the '80s. And it was fun to see this location re-purpose a defunct Taco Bell, which had itself appropriated an old Zantigo's location (you can tell by the sloping facade. Another that's still a Taco Bell is on Snelling off of University). I would eat at Zantigo's every chance I got since their reappearance, which was not often, since they tended to open spots in the suburbs. Beef & Bean tostadas with sour cream, and beef enchiladas a la carte. Fast food Heaven! Unfortunately, those last two items have been removed from the menu. You can still get beef enchiladas, but they come with pretty nasty rice and beans. The taco burrito is still there, though each time I go there's less and less filling. Mostly tortilla. The only great thing that remains is their chilito - and I usually get the green chili chilito with extra cheese. That has survived the last 30 years. As for this location, the last time I stopped in I wound up ordering their Nachos Deluxe. Lackadaisical service, and a bunch of Nachos with a tiny bit of cheese melted on, and a tiny scoop of beans. It was pretty pitiful. So, Zantigo's is apparently circling the drain once again. I hope I live long enough to see the return once again, with the recipes I loved. read more

I come here often and to all the locations. I worked at the Woodbury location as a teen. The food here is good but not at this location. I ordered mild chilitos with extra mild chili and received no extra mild chili. I paid 3 or 4 dollars extra for nothing. read more

I am a local food delivery guy, and today I stopped in at this location for a break, grab something to eat and use the restroom. I also should add this is a restaurant that the company I deliver for uses, so today I go in , kinda in a hurry because I've been delivering food for the last couple hours and needed to relieve myself badly. So as I'm heading to the restroom the lady behind the counter was loud and rude- stating that the restrooms were for customers only. I said I was here for lunch but needed to use the restroom first. She then told me I have to buy something to get the key. I said I was but really needed to go first. According to my bank statement I spend nearly $400 a year there, and sometimes bring carpool friends. Today I was denied bathroom key until I made purchase. They left our beans sitting out on the counter for twenty minutes before they even started the rest of our order. When we complained, the manager talked over us and didn't even pay attention to what we were complaining about, so was snotty in response without even addressing our actual complaint. My order 2 bowls of green chili (SHREDDED CHESSE ON THE SIDE)& one bean burrito. She says $9.26 I give her a $20 bill. I'm handed my order and get this deer in the headlight look. I say "I need $10.74 change. Minor detail. Then I get home and there is no cheese on the chili nor on the side. Chips included with the chili are inedible. I was very excited to hear that Zantigo was taking over the old Taco Bell spot. That excitement didn't last long once Zantigo actually opened and I suffered through bottom rate service. A few days ago I go to the drive through well before the 11 pm close time. Due to an extremely slow drive thru by the time they got to me i had been waiting quite some time. Then out of the blue the light for the drive through goes out. I don't think much of this, but when no body responds at the drive through I soon realize they stopped taking orders. I look at my phone and see it's 11 pm on the dot. So I'm waiting a good 5 minutes in line only to have them shut down the line on me right at close???? Problem with this is there was no way to exit the lot except out the drive thru. So I had to wait for the cars in front of my to get their orders before I could even exit. Of course when I get to the front the drive thru worker is standing there and won't even give me the time of day. I will not be back to this crap hole! Bring back Taco Bell!!! read more

My husband and I have eaten lunch here every couple of weeks. Each time the experience has been consistent. First off, the employees are friendly and helpful. Secondly the place is CLEAN. So tired of fast food places with dirty tables and floors. Have not had that experience here. And for the food. Ok This is fast food Mexican. It's not Chipotle. It's also not an organic overpriced place. If that's what you like, you won't like this. Not sure what the other reviewers were looking for. The tacos have consistently been made with hot meat with Chilled lettuce/tomato/cheese. Other places it seems the lettuce is the same temp as the meat. My husband is a pretty picky eater and always special orders things. His order has not been wrong. I recommend the chips and cheese. The chips are salty and crisp with real melted cheese. Yum yum. Tried to stop in for lunch on Saturday. No menu inside of stoor (tv screen monitors were not turned on). The two employees behind the register just looked at me but said nothing for the 8 minutes I and an older woman waited for our orders to be taken. Eventually I just left because the poor customer service was just a waste of my time. They had quality food in the past, but I'm not sure I will be back after that read more

I love this spot! Food is flavorful and delicious. The carnitas burrito is awesome, the "fries" are also delicious. Far superior quality and flavor opposed to chipotle. Food was still warm after 30 minutes each time I've taken it to go. The employees are superb, very friendly, attentive to special requests and are quick at making the food. The inside of the restaurant is clean and tidy. Mu only reason to leave out a perfect 5/5 Star review is the price to food ratio. The burritos are like 25 percent smaller than what you'd have at chipotle or (Qdoba ,which is also good). However I would always choose Zantigo over chipotle purely based on the quality of the food and the fact it actually has flavor and isn't so plain and boring. This should be a huge delicious burrito, right? Nope. It was... meh. And it was maybe half the size of a Chipotle burrito which somehow still manages to be cheaper and superior in taste than Zantigo's. When looked into the bag and saw this pathetic thing sitting there I actually laughed out loud at the absurdity of paying what I did for such a meager amount of food - even for a guy who's 5'7" and 135 lbs. I genuinely felt scammed. I'd be absolutely shocked if this place manages to keep it's doors open for more than a year.
