I have always enjoyed the food at Taco Libre, but this visit left a bit to be desired. When you get in, they have kiosks to order on your own. The place was not super clean-that is unusual for them. The salsa bar was only half put up. My order was incorrect and inform had already left before I realized it. Staff were friendly. I will try it again! Prob recommend

Cool taco shop, they've got it all there - tacos, burritos, tortas, etc. You can order at a kiosk when you walk right in or talk to someone at the counter. They're making your order fresh and they call your name when it's ready to go. They're making fresh salsas and you can scoop it yourself. We had the machete with chicken tinga and al pastor, it was plenty of food for the two of us. Some chips and queso on the side made for a perfect and easy lunch. Plenty of seating and a nice dinning room as well.

I've been so excited about this place every since I first saw the sign go up. I thought it was open way ago and realized they were remodeling the inside so never knew when they would open doors. So drive by and saw that people were coming in and out of here and that was my chance ! You walk in and you order through some tablets it's pretty easy and I was blown away by the variety that they have. I mean when it comes to tacos they have all types of classical meats which I was very happy to see specially lengua which is my fav! That night I was craving a torta which is basically a Mexican sand which on steroids using a telera as a bread. Wow was this torta packed with flavor. My partner had tacos and all were very tasty. You know a place is good depending on how their salsas taste and this hit the spot! You tend to get a watery version of tomato sauce with chips but this sauce was different because you could taste that some of the ingredients were roasted and you had the Smokey was of the chipotle peppers. I always order an horchata and this one has to take spot 1 among the horchatas I've had at restaurants. They cover it up for you so no spills happen if you were to take it out. The place is incredibly nice! You can see an amazing wall display of jarritos which is a Mexican soda. There is plenty of seating as well. I believe this is a chain as I've seen others around so it does make me happy to see that this one is in Roseville! Service was great and I was just very moved by the woman who cooked our meal that once I was done I had to thank her in Spanish because it reminds me of authentic Mexican food. She was very kind and I look forward to coming here again with the kids (:

Taco Libre is a yummy and quick place to grab a bite to satisfy your Mexican food cravings. Parking is convenient. When you enter the restaurant, you will notice touchscreen kiosks where you'll order your meal. Then, you'll grab your food down the line. The staff are friendly and quick. You don't have to wait long for your food. As you wait, you'll probably move to the fun Spanish songs playing. It is a fun place to be and the decor and art statements on the wall are so creative! When your name is called, you'll grab your order and your own salsas to go with your meals. We ordered tamales, alambre, side of rice and beans, and jarrritos. It is great to know of a place nearby that has tamales. They were a bit crumbly and dry, but they are good with salsa. Price is a little high, but probably worth it due to its location and limited competition. Stop by and enjoy it for yourselves!

If you don't know which flavor to choose, I highly recommend the Tamarind

Delicious street tacos plus some weird things Minnesotans like (such as tacos with a flour tortilla). I love the wall of Jarritis, love the salsa bar, love the carnitas. Staff is friendly, food is tasty and quick af

The atmosphere was trying to be trendy with the neon signs, rustic-chic, exposed duct aesthetic. The server was amazing. Incredibly friendly and helpful with questions that our group had. The food was also way better than I feared it might be. I appreciated the build-your-own option for a lot of the dishes. I got a large salad with grilled shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp was flavorful and the salad bright. I used some of the cilantro salsa that came with the chips as dressing and it was great. It happened to be my birthday and they brought out some churros as a treat, which was really nice. The churros, however, were pretty bad. Super dense and chewy. The service definitely added an extra star and that waiter (I didn't get her name) should get some recognition. I would put this in the "group pleasing", "work happy hour" bucket of restaurants. I would never suggest but definitely wouldn't be upset if the group chose here.

I love that the order of tacos comes with slices of cucumber because it's something refreshing to munch on at the end or whenever. Service is always always great and you have the option of calling and placing an order, coming to the place and ordering or doing a door dash order. The truck doesn't seem to be out and about all that often and each time I've been lucky enough to try their birria it has been when they've been parked outside of Lake Monster Brewing. If the last time I visited was any indication, it appears that they're sticking to what they do best - birria. Gone were any options that didn't involve that beefy goodness, which is fine by me, as that's the only thing I'd be ordering. I can't speak to the birria burrito, but the tacos and quesabirria will remain my standby's as long as they're around.

I definitely don't feel right sitting inside a crowded restaurant yet, but strolling up to a food truck in a parking lot and chowing down on something tasty that's fresh off the grill, that is an activity I can very much get behind in July of 2020. I've had their tacos before and I knew I just wanted more of the same, so I ordered 3 tacos. And I asked for a fourth as well. Give me a break I was hungry and I hadn't eaten anything all day! They were delicious and I strongly suspect I'll stop by for more next time I see that they're back in St Paul. (They appear to divide their time between Pine City and St Paul.) A few caveats, though. One is that there were tomatoes on my tacos which I didn't want. The description doesn't mention them so I was unpleasantly surprised. Also I couldn't find anywhere for trash in the area. I'd expect them to supply that if there isn't anything around. And as they were parked outside The Lab's taproom, maybe they assumed we could get beverages in there, so they didn't appear to offer any. But The Lab's bar was only serving drinks to people on their patio. But despite all that, I know that I will be consciously craving these tacos again soon. I can't wait to return! Maybe a drive up to Pine City is in order...
