The best nachos! I used to work within walking distance and I'm sad I don't get this regularly anymore

The atmosphere was trying to be trendy with the neon signs, rustic-chic, exposed duct aesthetic. The server was amazing. Incredibly friendly and helpful with questions that our group had. The food was also way better than I feared it might be. I appreciated the build-your-own option for a lot of the dishes. I got a large salad with grilled shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp was flavorful and the salad bright. I used some of the cilantro salsa that came with the chips as dressing and it was great. It happened to be my birthday and they brought out some churros as a treat, which was really nice. The churros, however, were pretty bad. Super dense and chewy. The service definitely added an extra star and that waiter (I didn't get her name) should get some recognition. I would put this in the "group pleasing", "work happy hour" bucket of restaurants. I would never suggest but definitely wouldn't be upset if the group chose here.

Tried calling to make a reservation but couldn't get anyone to answer. So 2:00pm it was. It was busy and only a few tables were open. Fun drunk menu and lots of local and Mexican beer options. Shared chips and salsa and Guac and both of us got two tacos and dessert and a drink. $40 a piece which wasn't bad. Would definitely go back.

The inside is clean and the walls proudly show off Mexican culture, which is cool. Food is ordered on kiosks, which is good if you know what you want, but if you do not, there is no one there to help-- you need to walk over to the kitchen area to ask. Food came out quickly, and there is a salsa bar! Pros: - Good food - Portion sizes are good Cons: - If there is a line, it can fell like lots of pressure to quickly order, which can be tough if it's your first time.

They offer a good variety of Mexican food that includes tacos, burritos, machetes, huaraches, torta, and more. I love their birria burrito and their shrimp volcano. One item I recommend to try is their mega birria which is 1/2 lb of birria meat smothered in shredded cheese, on a 18" corn tortilla with cilantro, onion, served with a cup of consume and side of limes. You can order at the kiosks and pick up your food within less than 10 minutes which makes a quick service. The restaurant has several tables you can sit at and nice music on to enjoy. Each Taco Libre has their own decorations and this is also one of my favorite with part of a wall full of jarritos bottles.

The truck doesn't seem to be out and about all that often and each time I've been lucky enough to try their birria it has been when they've been parked outside of Lake Monster Brewing. If the last time I visited was any indication, it appears that they're sticking to what they do best - birria. Gone were any options that didn't involve that beefy goodness, which is fine by me, as that's the only thing I'd be ordering. I can't speak to the birria burrito, but the tacos and quesabirria will remain my standby's as long as they're around.

I definitely don't feel right sitting inside a crowded restaurant yet, but strolling up to a food truck in a parking lot and chowing down on something tasty that's fresh off the grill, that is an activity I can very much get behind in July of 2020. I've had their tacos before and I knew I just wanted more of the same, so I ordered 3 tacos. And I asked for a fourth as well. Give me a break I was hungry and I hadn't eaten anything all day! They were delicious and I strongly suspect I'll stop by for more next time I see that they're back in St Paul. (They appear to divide their time between Pine City and St Paul.) A few caveats, though. One is that there were tomatoes on my tacos which I didn't want. The description doesn't mention them so I was unpleasantly surprised. Also I couldn't find anywhere for trash in the area. I'd expect them to supply that if there isn't anything around. And as they were parked outside The Lab's taproom, maybe they assumed we could get beverages in there, so they didn't appear to offer any. But The Lab's bar was only serving drinks to people on their patio. But despite all that, I know that I will be consciously craving these tacos again soon. I can't wait to return! Maybe a drive up to Pine City is in order...

I love that you get the best of both worlds here with the lively, airy patio and the cooler, quieter interior depending on what vibe you're in the mood for. The drink menu is also a standout with some really fun cocktails. Staff is always friendly and kind, and service moves quickly, which I always appreciate. One of my favorite things is being able to mix and match tacos so you can try different proteins instead of committing to just one. I also love the variety of salsa options.

I sat at the bar as I was alone. I ordered their classic margarita which was very tasty. For food I ordered 3 tacos - a Calamari, a Shrimp and a Pork. The food arrived quickly and was nicely presented. My favorite of the 3 tacos was the Calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded and very crispy yet tender. The cabbage and crema were great accompaniments. The Shrimp was second favorite. Nice sized shrimp were cooked perfectly. I was a little surprised by the spice level was a bit more than I was expecting. I then tried the pork taco with salsa verde and again was surprised by the spice level. The menu does a good job of identifying the spice level of the various salsas they offer. I would recommend that they do the same with their tacos just for awareness. I ate the 2 seafood tacos and 1/2 of the pork. I would have appreciated some chips or some sour cream to help cool things down. Overall I'd like to comeback and try more of the menu and bring friends and family.

It's pretty quiet, aside from the t.v. playing up on the wall. The few customers already sitting were either on their cell phones sharing videos with each other or quietly tucked into their meals. You order at a counter in the back of the restaurant and there were a few people ahead in line. Printed menus are available and are located at that back counter. When I told the man it was my first time there and that it'd be a few minutes before I decided on my order, he invited me to take the menu and sit down at a table and he or someone would come to our table to take our order. Someone brought us glasses of water and sets of metal flatware rolled up in a napkin. Then a woman came by to describe to us that their "green sauce" is spicier than their "red sauce", and suggested guacamole and chips. We agreed and ordered some. A while later we placed our dinner orders. The guac and chips never arrived, though that was fine with us when our meals were delivered along with our Jarritos. We both ordered some rice and beans with our entrees, and they were very good, being served on their own plate, not on the plate/platter with the entrees. I ordered Tostadas (3) with some barbacoa added. They were really good and I, somehow, ate all 3 of them, in addition to all my beans and rice, and the wonderfully complimentary Mango Jarritos. I was pretty full afterward and had a hard time getting to sleep later because of that. I also suspected that there was probably a lot of salt in the food, given how hot my feet were in bed and with how puffy underneath my eyes were when I woke up this morning. My companion ordered their Enchiladas Verdes with chicken, and he liked the unusually spicy green sauce. The chicken inside was all white meat, which can be a bit tough/dry. He said that next time he'd get cheese instead of the chicken.
