The prices are SO affordable (easily on par with, and sometimes beating, the club prices at Costco and Sam's), and are made even better with the Minnoco rewards discounts (5-10 cents depending on the day). The convenience store also has a good stock of snacks and drinks and such too. Quite possibly my favorite business in Minneapolis solely because the gas prices here cannot be beat!!

This Costco Gas…read moreStation, which (as usual located on the far end of the Mettawa Costco store) is located off I-294, and is a convenient place to get inexpensive gas compared what it costs to get in its vicinity. I go here to take advantage of their pricing. When not busy, you are usually in & out of the gas station quickly. The lines move fast. When they are busy at peak hours, the gas station lanes lines get long and there can be a wait (but understandably so). The gas station attendants are helpful personnel. The area is clean and although like other Costco Gas Stations, they aren't open late, their normal business hours work well for me. I am thankful for the convenient location of this gas station.

It's the cheapest gas within many miles. Is it worth a special trip? Probably not. Sometimes time is money too. Can you work it into your normal driving around? If yes, you should. I think most people could really benefit from eating in line for 5-10 minutes. Really. Drink some water, listen to some music, play a game on your phone. Keep on keeping on.

I mean an entire long wall of coolers filled with more energy and tea drinks and some downright weird items. Coke and Pepsi products? Squeezed at the end. I'm more of a brewed coffee drinker and they have the newer auto bean grinding units along with their hotpots. I found one container on empty and the other was a bit stale and cooled down. There were no lids but they quickly tended to refilling the pouch. Easy check. Out of here.

I waited in a long line (this is quite a busy station store, and parking lot traffic does not quite abide by the painted markings on the road) only to be told that the system was not working and to check back in the next days. This is rather unfortunate during the first weekend of the fishing year. On the plus side, there is free compressed air here, which sometimes works. M&H has been committed to quality service for over 100 years and has been providing the Midwest with gas since 1931. There is also a car wash, and a substantial amount of merchandise, including hats, glasses, gloves, etc. If you check their website, they post monthly coupons that include gas savings, snacks, beverages, and merchandise. This well-known gas station is a staple in the East Side Community, and most have patronized this establishment for years. Depending on who's working, they remember you and call you by name. The Customer Service is decent, everyone is doing their job. This is a place that you definitely need to check out and support.

I don't expect much out of gas stations (I don't think many people do), so we were both kinda floored by how NICE the interior of this gas station was. Like practically upscale fancy (for a gas station), clean and well-lit, with a decent selection of REAL food (produce, milk, eggs, etc.) in addition to the typical junk fare. I was also impressed by the tap smoothie and protein shake dispensers alongside the coffee brews and soda fountain. Bakery items were actively being discounted when we arrived, and were extremely tempting flavors like pumpkin white chocolate chip. Perhaps needless to say, we walked out with more than hubbie's cup of coffee. X'D Making your shop look nice (while staying affordable) works y'all! Honestly this trend of gas stations that TRY is refreshing; it doesn't have to feel like you're slumming it or one step above peeing on the side of the road. Next time I need a quick something, I may in fact prioritize Kwik Trip over say Holiday or Speedway. Also the employees working here were friendly and efficient. That's about all I look for when it comes to a gas station. However, like other reviewers have mentioned, the lot is very small and the location is very busy. The lanes aren't quite wide enough for them to be two way, but they are set up to be. I warn you to be careful of inexperienced drivers taking wide turns. As one of the only two Holiday locations in Minneapolis, this is issue is unsurprising, but for those of you planning ahead for your next stop, I'd recommend going to a gas station with more space. This spacial issue is especially prevalent when your truck battery dies and you need to get it jump started. I was on my way to a job sight when I noticed my gas tank was on empty. I stopped at this gas station because it was the closest. After filling up, I tried to start the truck again and it wouldn't start! Not to worry, this issue was quickly remedied but a helpful stranger willing to help jumpstart the truck! Thanks again Ty! Overall, I enjoyed my unexpectedly long trip to this Holiday though I hope I don't end up in this situation again.
