I had previously gone to the Bremerton location multiple times and loved it but I also love the Silverdale location. I hadn't been in a long time due to having had a baby and was pleasantly surprised when I stopped in one day because one of the wonderful ladies told me that they even had toys for my daughter to play with if she was interested. I was so touched by this! I know it sounds silly but now as a mom when places have changing tables, or toys, or make an effort towards children really means something special to me. And the truth is, this isn't a restaurant, it's not a place that has to be forward kid friendly, its a boutique, but they made the effort and I really appreciated that. I also recently saw the fashion show that they had just done and inquired about a dress I saw, they not only got back to me in an extremely fast fashion, but they just as nice even on their Facebook messaging! They even offered to set aside the dress for me, ship it to me, or said if I ever want to call ahead they could even set a room up for me ahead of time since I have a little one with me. However, the staff there told me there was no record of the gift card and claimed the gift card did not exist in the system after checking some index card file she had at the desk. She then questioned the origins of the card and told me to go get a receipt for the purchase of the gift card. Why do I need to present a receipt for the gift card I received as a gift? This was so laughably outrageous that I left. Don't patronize this shop, they take the cash from gift card sales and refuse to honor the gift card when you try to redeem it. It is a total scam. They take your money and pretend the gift card doesn't exist. I would not recommend even setting foot in this unreasonable store. ​​​​

I liked how there were price tags on everything too - and from what I saw, the prices seemed very reasonable. The staff there were nice. I was put off a bit by this because, although true, it was a very in your face thing to say to someone just entering the store. I was planning on looking for books to purchase but while walking back to that area I heard the employee/owner? Say the same thing two more times in a loud voice to everyone in the store. It was a total turn off. I don't like feeling pressure to buy something to appease a shop owner. If your prices are good and I see what I like I will almost always purchase something. I love supporting local stores but this behavior was over the top and we walked out and so did several other people. I'm sure there are some people who look around because they are bored while waiting for the ferry and while that may be irritating as a shop owner, it is part of business anywhere. If you stand by your product then let people come in and browse without giving a guilt trip to people. We left and went a few stores down and made a purchase at a cute boutique where the owner welcomed us and let us browse and make a purchase without saying anything other than pleasantries.
