They had a huge selection of bracelets... they sized and polished the one we picked for free. After talking with friends and some other jewelers they said we got a decent deal, so we're happy about that! Hard to trust any places these days, especially jewelry, so it was nice knowing these guys were honest and legitimate. We ended up paying 1400 for an 11.6 gram Figaro bracelet, which is a fair price. We will definitely come back here when in the mood for more jewelry. I recommend them!

Yes, it's super packed and some aisles were blocked but it also felt like a treasure hunt. Who knows what you will discover that somebody else who came through before you didn't notice. Fun! The owner and her daughter were super nice and offered to help us several times. The pictures I posted were from the upstairs barn area and outdoor carport. I didn't take any pictures of the main antique store but it was packed full of antique household items. I came away with two martini glasses that I can't wait to use. I hope to return sometime soon and I will take photos of the main antique store and post pictures then.

Seattle record shops are often picked over, so come over here to find treasures and better pricing. They also have the new records here too, and vinyls seem to be priced according to quality as you can find the same vinyls priced differently. Selection is great without being impossible to browse through. The owner is pretty friendly. There's also nice ambient music playing in the background (on a record player, of course). I bought some records where the album cover was very worn, so I wasn't expecting much but miraculously they played without any noise. Amazing!

So, I was thrilled when I found that, not only did the stores still exist, but they had a Lynnwood location when I was in that part of the metro Seattle area. It was fantastic to be able to browse a huge collection of music and movies, and find great titles at wonderful prices. On the music side of things, they had loads of used titles, and I was exstatic to see how many new discs they had in stock. I asked at the counter if they had a section for SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) music, a format that has always been a niche product, and has very few titles being released any more. The person behind the counter not only knew what I was talking about, but he apologized for not having a separate section for these discs, and told me I would find them mixed in with everything else by the same artists. I am very much looking forward to my next visit to the Seattle area, and being able to browse some more.

I returned a record as it was skipping right on the first track. None of my other records that I bought previously not only from here, but from other record stores did not have that issue. I spoke to a man that I think was a manager or something, I was explaining what happened and he immediately judged my record player for being on the cheap end that's why my record was skipping. He asked another question if my speakers were built in, as that can also cause it to skip? I'm not new to this. But to use my record player as an excuse to why the record was skipping was insulting. I told him that none of my other records were doing it, so they need to replace it, in which they did. Guess what? The new copy DID NOT SKIP! So that crosses off my record player as the reason. I did not appreciate that kind of talk. Will I be back? Yes, I think so. But that left a bad taste in my mouth.

He did a classic sound test against one of their known‑good coins on a rock slate, then compared it to mine. After that, he used their measurement device and scale; my round hit 31.1 grams, exactly one troy ounce, and the device confirmed it was .999 fine. That level of transparency is exactly what stackers look for. We ended up talking spot, premiums, and the current silver market. Both Santo and his partner in the back (Carol?) were easy to talk with and clearly know their stuff. I also asked about the Red Book, and they confirmed it's a solid foundation for anyone building real numismatic knowledge -- principles stay the same even when prices move. If you're a stacker who values transparency, proper testing, and straight talk, Redmond Rare Coins is a shop worth visiting. Solid people, solid process, solid metal.

I explicitly acknowledged that dealers need to buy below market value to make a profit. My concern was the inaccurate and contradictory information I received. If you read other reviews I am not the only one who has had negative feedback with Santos. Santos looked at my coin for only a few seconds before saying, word for word, "You should not have graded this coin." He then told me it was an $8,000 coin and said its value tracked the spot price of gold. This was a PCGS-graded 2020-W V75 Proof American Gold Eagle Privy $50 First Strike--a collector coin whose grade, rarity, and numismatic demand materially affect its value. It does not simply trade like ordinary gold bullion. After Santos researched the coin using Greysheet, he found a figure of approximately $12,000. He then changed his explanation and said the original $8,000 figure was what he would offer me. Those are two different statements. Saying, "This coin is worth $8,000," is a valuation. Saying, "I would offer you $8,000," is a dealer's purchase offer. I explained this distinction to him in the store. I also made it clear that I understood why a dealer's offer would be below market value. I did not object to the amount they were willing to pay. My issue was that the $8,000 figure was initially presented as the coin's value and was only reframed as an offer after his own research showed a higher figure. I later took the coin to another reputable coin shop in Bellevue. They confirmed that Santos's statements about the coin not being worth grading and simply tracking the spot price of gold were incorrect. The owner's repeated explanation that they are "a shop, not an auction house" and use wholesale pricing does not address my complaint. I was not demanding an auction price. I was asking for accurate information and a clear distinction between the coin's market value and what the store was willing to offer. I also found the auction-house distinction strange considering the store sells coins through eBay AND WhatNot, although that is secondary to my main concern. There is no need for either side to argue about what happened. If the store's cameras recorded the interaction, I welcome the owner sharing the full, unedited footage so readers can judge for themselves.
