They have a great exchange policy which is one of the reasons why I shop there, but my friends and family have never taken advantage of it because they have been happy with the gifts. Don't EVER shop here! They falsely accused my daughter of shoplifting! If I could give zero stars, I would. We came in on a lovely summer day and wanted to look since they advertised as a home decor store and we have a new house to decorate. When you walk into Plum you know its something special. Every little space has something that was carefuly selected - I really appreciate the books I can browse ( and got one of my favorite cocktail recipie books here) while my wife is finding some very stylish items - both clothing and accesories. It seems everytime we stop by there is something new - but still very comfortable. The two ladies who work there, or perhaps own it, are very friendly and fashionable. Interesting photo books on Seattle and many animal books. I went into this beautifully curated shop two days ago to start my Christmas shopping early. I found three items for friends, one of which was a plugged in lamp. I asked the sales woman for help. When she began taking fragile items down from the lower shelves to access the plug, I apologized for troubling her, to which she responded "its no trouble at all", which was nice. I then said I thought the plug was to the left (in retrospect, this was probably the wire to the other lamp), to which she quite abruptly replied "I've got it" which felt a little in your face for someone working with a customer. I was a few feet back from her so I could see the space around her. That was when I suddenly could see the plug off to the right in an extension cord. I felt badly that I had previously said it was to the left so I told her that now I could see it to the right of her nearby. I was stunned when she turned to me, gave me a good stare and very firmly again stated "I've. got. it." - clearly annoyed with me. I replied that I was just trying to be helpful, to which she said nothing. She then proceeded to keep moving LEFT, removing more fragile items before finally realizing I was correct and moving back to the right to unplug the lamp. The whole time I was standing there stunned. Had this woman really just spoken to me, a woman approaching 50, as though I were a misbehaved child?? I felt embarrassed in front of the other customers in this tiny space and really angry. This was terrible customer service. I won't be back in. read more

This adorable little shop is tucked into corner in downtown Bainbridge Island. It has a wonderful little selection and I can always find little gifts there. This is a gem of a stop along the main street of shops on Bainbridge Island. I stopped in there last Monday and the staff could not have been nicer and more helpful (but not at all pesky). The selection of items is charming and first class. I happened to be in there with others and "along for the ride" and not intending to shop. As we were leaving, I noticed their wrapping paper and really wanted some for my art work. The owner probably wasn't crazy about parting with her store wrapping paper the week before Christmas, but she sold me some anyway, and at a very fair price. Even though I had bought nothing! Now I can't wait to go back and it will be my first stop the next time I hop off the ferry. read more
