It was tungsten and made of 3 layers and the layers separated. We did not purchase a warranty.....I mean it was a wedding ring, no diamonds to come out or anything, so we figured we wouldn't need it. I wouldn't even give this place a 1 Star. Their products are made poorly. This is the second pair of earrings that have broken on me. The back to the earring broke on the first pair of diamond earrings that I purchased from here. I took it in to get it repaired and they told me that I would need to pay an additional $100 to have it fixed. I paid and had the earrings fixed. My husband bought a second pair of earrings for me with pearls and a little diamond (see picture) & the pearl fell off!!! I am certain they are going to make me pay more money to repair them. Horrible terrible customer service online experience is very bad. I ordered a means 14 k 6mm wedding gold band and they sent me a 2mm band engraved for Carol. Lol. They can only take the return and give credit. I bought this men's band at Valentines 25% off and they wouldn't honor the discount. They wouldn't try to fix or make this right. I don't know if I will have a wedding ring foe our wedding since it's 2 weeks away. I waited on the phone for over 11 minutes and so did the lady at the store. We took it to this location to see if they could fix it since it was expensive and EJ jumped into our conversation stating they couldn't help, while on the phone with the other location they asked to speak to EJ. He very rudely stated he would not speak to them. This is by far the rudest man I have ever come in to contact with that's involved in sales. Went to pick up a ring I ordered online. Got there at 8:15 pm and the doors were locked. 3 people inside the store, guard motioning with a slashing move across her neck that they are closed. Sign posted on their doors says they close at 9 pm. Pointed it to the guard and she adamantly shook her head no. The other 2 people just watched. Poor costumer service. This place is an absolute joke I bought a wedding ring here and twice now diamonds have fallen out of it. The first time I maintained their stupid six month check up and was able to get the diamond fixed the second time I figured what are the chances that would happen again however lo and behold another diamond fell out and now I'm having to pay to have them repair it again. After dropping it off and waiting two weeks for an estimate they finally called me and told me it's going to cost $100 to replace a stupid crappy microscopic diamond. I told him fine to go ahead and do it and wait two weeks after hearing nothing I finally called back and they tell me that they are still waiting on my approval. So nearly a month later I still have a broken ring and now they're telling me it's actually $200 to fix. When I got there I gave the sales lady the sku number she looked on the computer and told me what I came for they didn't have in the store, only online. As I was turning around to leave the ring I came for was sitting right in front of my face in a display on the counter. I told the lady this is the ring I came for right here. She looked really confused and said I'm sorry I didn't even know we got them in. How is it the sales reps don't even know what's in inventory and its Christina's time! I want everyone to know how unprofessional this company is. My first experience with Zales was horrible, and will be my last. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this company, especially if you are looking for quality and customer service. Last year for Christmas my boyfriend bought me the sterling silver Infinity Loop ring in a size 4.5. When he gave me the ring on Christmas Day, it was too big. I went to the nearest Zales to get resized and exchange the ring the next day. They told me I needed a size 4, and I said I would like to exchange it. The sales rep told me that I couldn't exchange it but I could resize it for a fee. Unhappy with that response, I attempted to exchange it at 2 other Zales in the area - all told me the same thing. On the website, however, it says you can exchange ANY ring within a certain time frame. It also says that sterling silver rings cannot be resized, so why did these reps at 3 different stores tell me that that was my only option? Frustrated with all of the hassle getting us nowhere, my boyfriend decided to return the ring for a full refund and buy a new one. He returned it and got his $115 back, but when he went to buy me a new one the price had gone up $35. He bought it anyway and I complained on their website. A manager called me later that week and did absolutely nothing to solve the problem - only explained to me why silver rings couldn't be resized. When I told her that I already knew that and that I wasn't trying to resize it in the first place, she apologized for the inconvenience. That was all. And here comes the cherry on top: after owning the new ring for not quite 3 weeks, a diamond fell out. I never attempted to get it fixed because after already receiving such poor customer service, I knew they would try to make me pay for their mistake or beat around the bush and say there was nothing they could do. I went in to purchase a watch and it was super crowded. One of the clerks said she would be with me shortly so I went over to the other employee but the other employee didn't even acknowledge my presence. Granted, he was busy but he should have also acknowledged that I was standing there. I noticed he didn't acknowlege the other customer waiting to see a ring either. He later helped me and was very nice but I was really irritated that he didn't initially look at me or smile or say "be right with you" or "sorry for the wait" , anything and I almost left. Sometimes people are having a bad day but when you are in customer services it is so very important to have a good attitude. I returned a few days later to pick up my watch and was greeted promptly by a young man named Alberto who had come over from Gordon's to help out.
