Zales exceeded my expectations. I saw this location had one star so I was iffy about going into the store. Against my reluctancy I went anyway and was helped by a nice gentleman. Pros: The sales associate was very helpful in helping my choose the right gift for love. He ended up loving the gift. The sales associate even wrapped the gift for me. He took his time and listened to my needs. He built rapport to close the sale. Cons: When I initially walked into the store the other 2 associates didn't acknowledge me or even my presence and say they would be with me shortly. Thanks to making the occasion special. Zales will NOT get my business again. I bought my wife a new engagement ring for Christmas. The purchase process was simple. She promised 12 months no interest. The first bill I got was showing 29%. I went up there and she said come back after Christmas and we will definitely get it fixed. Went back first week of January, same lady returned the ring in the system and then rang it back up to get the discount. She also said she couldn't get my money I paid in to the interest. Next bill, 29% interest. Next bill again 29% interest. Now the sailors lady won't answer the phone. I'm done. Absolutely done. I'll got to Walmart before Zales again. read more

Very deceiving picture of crucifix to show actual size is so tiny not at like one I originally bought. Very upset as regular store at Bell Air Mall in Mobile that I spent over twenty thousand dollars with would enlarge picture and call this a sale regular $179 -129$ There's no way I would have bought crucifix that's so small looks like goes on charm bracelet not a necklace. I went into this Zales about a month ago during their valentines sale I ended up talking to an amazing young lady who was very helpful in picking out a gift for my girlfriend she even sold me a warranty on it I left very pleased and was told I could pick it up the 24th after it was resized. I received an email that told me the ring wouldn't be there until the 26th because they needed to tighten loose gems I was understanding in that and was fine so I went in the 26th to pick up my ring and while inspecting it I found one of the diamonds were missing so it had to be sent back out for another week now I've just picked up my ring again and gave it to my girlfriend she's worn it about 2 days and one of the sapphires has fallen out. I realize this isn't the store it's self fault and they have been very kind to me but I wouldn't recommend the jeweler at all especially since I'm obviously not the only one having this issue that means they have to know their jeweler is a problem and should've told me this as I would've just bought the ring and taken it somewhere else to be resized. read more

My wife and I walked into Zales between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. We walked to each showcase twice without any acknowledgement of our presence. There were five employees; four were with other customers and one was doing something behind the counter that looked like tagging items. We purposely stood by him and looked in the showcase he was working by. One employee completed a transaction with a customer and then walked over to help another customer who came in after us. A sixth employee entered, went to the back, came back to the front of the store and helped another customer who entered after us. Finally, after completing his transaction with a customer, an employee acknowledged us after more than 10 minutes. At that time we expressed our displeasure with the absence of service and left the store. To his credit, the employee did apologize. There was little to no customer service and a very poor attempt at service recovery. Looks can be deceiving and all customers should be greeted when entering an establishment. read more

If I could give this place zero stars and be able to write my review I would. I have had THE WORST experience every single time I come here! I do not live in mobile, I live near an hour away so it's a 2 hour round trip every single time I have to come. I originally brought my wedding ring and 2 bands to zales in belair mall because a small diamond came out of the set. During the 2-3 weeks of waiting for my ring to be ready for pick up , I received several emails saying my ring was ready. I drove 2 separate times (2 hour round trip, not to mention the 45 minutes they take to do whatever they do on the computer each and every time) just to be told the ring wasn't even there! BOTH times!! Finally when my ring did arrive it was found out that the diamond was STILL missing!!!!! So they send it back AGAIN!!! This time I say go ahead and size it for me to fit as well since it's been a little too tight for comfort since I've had my second child. So after a few more fake emails and another pointless drive, the ring FINALLY came in again. This time it was discovered to be sized to a MAN'S size 9!!!! So I wore the rings too big for about a couple months, dreading going back to get it fixed. Then ANOTHER diamond fell out!!! I regretfully brought it back again! This time I ask they size it correctly so it will fit me! More fake emails.... more wasted drives to the mall.... then my ring was really in!! Yay! I wait another 45 minutes for them to actually hand me the rings and when I try them on my finger, one ring was a 7.5, the next ring was a 7.0 and the next ring was a 6.5. I can not believe it!!!! So they send it back again!!!!!!!! Today I call to see if it's there (this is getting fun- not) and I speak to the manager, Kelly. She proceeds to tell me that the reason the rings didn't fit last time is because the jeweler made the rings oval shaped for some reason?? And that's what they do sometimes to preserve the diamonds??? Does my finger look oval? Also the jeweler highly recommends in the future I get a new band because of all the sizing!!! AND it will cost me to do this! Haha! I tell her as calmly as possible- which was almost impossible- that I will not be paying for anything further, all of this is their mistake!! She then tells me that she's "just waiting for me to finish" so I guess she can hang up the phone. I wasn't planning on writing review until after this phone conversation. I've never reviewed any place before unless it was just a great place that needed to be praised! But All in all, this place is THE WORST jewelry store ever to be in business! I regret picking out my wedding set here and would highly suggest you consider almost any other store around. read more

Their jewelry is not of high quality whatsoever. I was so excited to find my wedding band at from Zales; it was exactly what I wanted. But then I had an issue when the first diamond fell out. Thankfully I noticed it quickly and took ring in to have it repaired. The salesman I worked with had it sent off, and told me it would be ready in three weeks. Keep in mind, this is right before the Christmas holidays after I got married, so I couldn't wait to show to friends and family who were unable to attend the wedding. Of course, nobody ever called and it was definitely not ready prior to me going out of town to see my family and husbands family over the holidays. I was very disappointed. I had to consistently call them (nobody would ever answer at the store) and finally got an answer. It was almost a month before I got my wedding band back. Of course after that, I was paranoid to even wear it and when they fixed it, it messed up the size of the guard and my wedding ring kept popping out of it, therefore cutting off circulation in my ring finger. NOW, two more diamonds have fallen out six months later and the sauder on the ring actually came loose. BUT, since I missed my 6 month "check up" on the ring I am now responsible to pay for the repairs. This is ridiculous, especially since they were supposed to call and inform me of the "six month check up." I'm not sure about everyone else, but I know I stay busy and did not have this marked in my calendar. Thankfully, my husband got my engagement ring elsewhere, a local business that takes care of their customers, are prompt with repairs, and do not charge you or make you feel stupid when you miss a "check up" for your jewelry. On top of this issue, I also made the mistake of getting my husbands wedding gift, a Citizen watch, from this same place. On the second night of our honeymoon, it broke. It of course was a major hassle for Zales to even take care of this issue and replace the watch (after they sent it off and it still was not fixed when it was returned to my husband). I am disgusted by the amount of time it takes to even get service here, the lack of quality, and how they practically blame you for something they should take full responsibility for. Never, ever get any jewelry from this company. I am beyond disappointed with my wedding band, which is supposed to be an extremely special piece of jewelry that I should be wearing day in and out, but am too afraid because I don't want anymore diamonds falling out. Higher management should really look into this issue. I am wondering what it would cost to just sell my wedding band and get another one that I can comfortably wear without being afraid that it will break/diamonds will fall out. I am not one to leave reviews but you should be warned.....If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The absolute worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I haven't purchased anything from them since 2010 and have had a problem from the beginning to our current situation with the "repair" of my engagement ring. The manager, Kelly, "prides herself on customer service" and it's far from that. When you pay good money for a special piece of jewelry you should expect some type of positive service. We have constantly had to follow up with them to get any communication. Their repairs could be done better by a kiosk in the middle of the mall. Just picked up my "brand new looking ring" and once again my diamond ring has soldered lines on each side of the band. So hopefully I catch the break again in five years before actually losing my diamond. Do yourself a favor, turn around and go to another jewelry store or better yet take a gamble and buy a "diamond" ring from one of the guys at a kiosk in the middle of the mall.
