The staff is the amazing, they are so welcoming and really make you feel like home. I would recommend this office to anyone

I made my first appointment with a specific dentist at this office. Once I was done getting x rays, I was told a virtual dentist would see me in a few minutes. I told her that I had made an appointment with a specific dentist and she said that all new patients meet with a virtual dentist and that team would write up a plan and then they would have one of their dentists meet with me. I walked out. I would have appreciated them being honest with me about seeing a virtual dentist and not the person with whom I had made an appointment. read more

Zak Dental took over the dental office that I used to go to in El Cajon. My family and I made initial appointments that stated it was for a cleaning, X-rays, and checkup. My daughter had an appointment last week and they only did her exams and X-rays, no cleaning. I came for my appointment a week later, which included a cleaning. They told when I checked in I was only getting a checkup and X-Rays, no cleaning. I told them my appointment included a cleaning, but the place refused to clean my teeth and I would have had to come back and make another appointment to get my teeth cleaned. We canceled all of our appointments. This place is like a shady mechanic. Avoid read more

I feel younger because my teeth look great when I smile! Dr. Wilson does beautiful cosmetic work. She helped my smile with crowns up front, and I think my teeth are very pretty. The front teeth have crowns, and you can't tell. They look exactly like the other regular teeth and feel great. The front desk ladies are fantastic and wonderful, very efficient, and friendly. All of the hygienists do a great job cleaning the teeth thoroughly, I have confidence in them all. Most recently, Kayla gave me great pointer to help me take care flossing around my crowns, Angie and Olga were also very knowledgeable, thorough, and have helped me in the past especially grateful to them for finding the cavities when I had them to get them filled early. Thank you to all hygienists, everyone there is great and does high quality work in my experience. read more

I've been going to Dr Wilson for almost 20 years, and my parents have had her as their dentist for almost 30. I have been to other dentists. Don't do it. Go to Dr Wilson if you're able. She and the staff are the bees knees! read more

The best dental team around. Love Dr. Wilson and Angie. They are fantastic and extremely thorough. Highly recommend.

Started out fine. Said I needed cleaning every 4 months and a deep cleaning. OK, no problem, but I do have to take off work, so inconvenient, but whatever. Last cleaning was with a new person. She spent 23 minutes from start to finish. Never had such a short time spent cleaning my teeth, ever. When EOB from insurance came, I saw not only did they charge $248 for the cleaning (which makes her work worth $500 per hour ) but they also charged for an X-ray that was not done (and the insurance paid for it), and charged $52.00 for her taking pictures of my teeth before she cleaned them. This was not covered. I contacted the office, told them of the billing issues. They agreed they took no Xray and told me not to worry about the charge for photos because "if it's not covered we won't charge you." Practices like these are part of the reason insurance costs so much. I'm not going back here... read more

Dr. Renae is the best!! She explains everything that is she doing or going to do and will stop any procedure if you are getting anxious or your mouth is tired of being open. Ha ha She also is a good story teller which really helps take your mind off what is going on. Her staff is also spectacular and when I get my teeth cleaned,, I try to make extra time in my schedule because Angie and I just laugh way too much!! read more

I have been going to Dr. Wilson every 6 months for cleanings for over 10 years. Her staff is always so friendly and do a great job keeping my teeth white and healthy. I trust Dr. Wilson and her staff also, which is really important to me. They are very reasonable in their pricing for cleaning, cavity fills etc and the place is always clean and the staff really friendly! 100% recommend this dentist to anyone in the San Diego area. I live in PB and travel to El Cajon because I refuse to go anywhere else! read more

Best dental experience ever. I have been going to Dr. Wilson's office for about 8 years now, and have nothing but great things to say. She is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, friendly and reasonable. She has done fillings, crowns, and other dental work, all well done, at a much lower price than my prior dentist. Not many people can say they enjoy going to the dentist, but I actually do! That's in large point because of her amazing dental hygienist, Angie. I have been seeing Angie for about 20 years now, since she was with a prior dentist. She does an excellent job, but more importantly, is just a super friendly, bubbly, fun person to be around and talk to -- although since she's working on my teeth, she does most the talking! Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful, and I love that they have early morning appointments. I can get in and out, and on my way in no time. I don't drive east of downtown for much of anything, but Dr. Wilson's office is worth the drive. I have recommended them to several friends and colleagues who all agree. Check them out! read more

Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Wilson is a great dentist she explains everything and really cares about her patients.

Thank you so much Dr. Wilson, my experience today was a 10/10! Looking forward to future appointment and telling my friends and family to make an appointment at your office! Also have to mention, all of your staff are very welcoming and friendly. Making my visit feel welcomed and comfortable! read more

Seriously THE BEST DENTIST OFFICE you will ever go to! Angie is amazingggggggggg and has honestly made me LOVE getting my teeth cleaned (who says that?!) she's so gentle and all-around wonderful :) I used to live in Orange County and would drive for over an hour and a half because she is just *that good*. I mean, I still live 45 minutes away from their office and choose to make the commute because no other dental office compares to Renae Wilson's office. They make scheduling a breeze, and I also really love that it's completely owned and operated by women hehe go to them and you won't be disappointed! read more

I have been going to Dr. Wilson's dental office for years and when I leave my teeth are super clean. Olga did a great job cleaning my teeth this last visit. I take special care of my teeth myself so I have certain standards I am looking for in a dentist. Dr. Wilson is extremely skilled at cosmetic dentistry. I had a lot of wear and tear from years on my teeth. Dr. Wilson restored my teeth to look fantastic with crowns and special work so that my smile is naturally perfect. My teeth are very healthy now. Dr. Wilson is expert at making sure that the bite fits on all of her reconstructive work. So not only do my teeth look fantastic, but they fit together perfectly. I am very pleased, an outstanding dentist is hard to find. Dr. Wilson is an outstanding dentist, skilled in all types of restoration whom I recommend if you care about your teeth. read more

Dr. Wilson is my dentist and she is the best dentist I have ever had! My girlfriend and her family go to her and thats how I found out about this place. The receptionist and dental assistants are super nice. I dig Dr. Wilsons style too. She is only open Monday-Thursday so she always gets 3 day weekends. Thats how I would run my business if I ever had one ;-). Appointments are easy to make and its always a quick in and out once you are there. If you live in/near El Cajon/Santee and need a great dentist come here. You will be glad you did! read more

Let me start by saying that I am, or was, terrified of the dentist. Or at least, until I came here. Everyone here is so nice and talks to you like a person, not "just a patient". They make sure you understand and help you fine solutions for whatever your needs may be. Today I went and got two fillings with no numbing. Yes, I was just as shocked. However, she told me if I wanted to be numb, she would do it. I decided to be brave and try without it first. There was absolutely NO PAIN. Just the irritating sound of the drill. I was so happy when I walked out of there! I know that not only are they helping me brighten and upgrade my smile, but they are there because they want to be and they want to help! read more

Dr. Wilson and her staff are wonderful. I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to dental work. I have been dealing with 2 teeth that had chipped over the years and needed to have checked. I hoped root canals were not necessary. Dr. Wilson checked them out and said she could fix them without sending me to get a root canal. I know it was not easy fix. Very thankful for the time and great care provided. An appointment was set and a short wait for the appointment day. I had such a great experience as everyone was so calming and assuring throughout the time the procedure was completed for that visit. I had very little anxiety that first trip and actually none for the follow up. A warm, caring and even lots of laughs to help relax those that need it. Thank you Dr. Wilson and your amazing staff, Desiree, Debra and Angie. read more

Hands down the absolute best Dentist experience I have ever had (I've been to many) from the moment you want in, till the moment you walk out you are treated like family. I have never had anyone clean my teeth the way they do. They spent the whole entire hour cleaning and polishing my teeth. Dr. Wilson is absolutely lovely! She's personable and doesn't leave you feeling like you need a million dollars worth of work. She is very honest and fare. My husband and mother have since went to this office and both had the exact same experience. I know that nobody truly loves going to the dentist, but since you have to I suggest you go see Dr. Wilson and her group of phenomenal hygienist and staff. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Happy brushing and flossing wish I could give more stars! read more

Great great great office! Love all the ladies there. Big thumbs up!

My boyfriend has been using Renae Wilson as his dentist for years. Even though we live about 20 minutes away, he insists on driving there to use her. He sees on assistant and I see another, but both are super friendly and fun to be around (if you have to get a cleaning!). The best part is though they are reasonably priced and do quality cleanings. I've had other dentists offices try to up sell me when I came in for a cleaning or charge me more than agreed. This office has a reasonable $95.00 cleaning and work with me since I don't have insurance. The staff is always friendly and Renae is a pleasure to talk to. Plus I trust her to tell me what my teeth need, not what she'd like to sell me. read more

I came here for a cleaning and Dr Wilson made me feel right at home. She is also a very good photographer and has alot of pictures of the many vacations that she takes with her family posted around her office. She is also very chatty. It was difficult to chat back with her working on my teeth. read more

It has been a year since my last dentist appointment and I loved my old dentist but having just moved to California I needed someone new. I have to say from the minute I walked in I felt welcome and everyone was so nice! The assistant, the lady at the front and the dentist were all so awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new dentist :) :) Everyone was very happy and conversational and I am looking forward to my next appointment :) read more

I haven't had dental insurance since 2011, needless to say I need some work done. The staff is amazing and so is Dr. Wilson. My first cleaning too about 45 minutes and I needed to come back for some fillings. I was in and out in literally 20 minutes for the fillings. It's a very comfortable and friendly environment. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

Dr. Wilson has been our family dentist for at least 10 years. I am the mother of 8 children and I believe Dr. Wilson was the best dentist to start with for our kids; she is very easy going, nice, gentle and very informative. Because of their first "good experience at the dentist" they don't mind going to the dentist at all! read more

My wife and I have been going here for several years and our 11 year old has been going for about the last 3 years. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the office is very clean. We always make appointments, but have been squeezed in when something comes up (like a cracked crown). My wife and child both worry about dentists and pain, like many, but neither has ever had any problems with this and neither have I. I do not think they take any HMO insurance and only take PPO's, which ours is. I would recommend this dentist to anyone and have been very happy with the work they have done on me and my family. read more

The dentist and hygienists are the best. The billing problems I was having are fixed!

I really love Dr. Wilson! The dentist and be scary at times and her soft touch approach and her knowledge and explaination of the process really puts me at ease. My husband and I chose an insurance plan that she accepted so we wouldn't have to change dentists. read more

We love Dr. Wilson and her staff! They have been so helpful with all our dental needs, including a couple weekend emergencies. I went to Dr. Wilson for a brief stint when I was searching for a new dentist. I had a crown done by her. She was very nice and friendly But I have to say my crown looks terrible very fake and also ill fitting... I soon after treatment developed tooth pain in the tooth next to the newly installed crown and went back to her in pain and she simply sent me to see an endo who could not figure out what tooth it was. Duh! Now I'm in very good hands with a new dentist and he will need to take out all the crown work and clean out the tooth canal cuz Dr. Wilson did a poor job.. And the tooth next to it is now in jeopardy! Really? This is not OK and I spent all that money for Nothing. So I have to say I'm learning a lot about tooth health and my experience with Dr. Renee Wilson was very disappointing and expensive mistake. I am sorry for this less than stellar review but it is what it is. I did really like all of the ladies that work there, including Dr. Wilson. read more

I do not recommend Renae Wilson. I had a disagreement with Renae. She accepted my insurance but not my girlfriends, even though we had the same insurance and worked for the same company. Shortly there after, I went in for a filling on tooth #19. After Renae supposedly removed the decay, she asked her assistant; "How does that look?" What? She's not the dentist? Her assistant's job was to hold the suction wand in my mouth and that's it. She kept jamming the base of the wand against my upper lip. Anyway, I suspected foul play and immediately scheduled an appointment with another dentist in Poway to remove the filling and make sure no decay was left behind. Wouldn't you know it, Renae Wilson deliberately left behind decay in my just filled tooth. I would have ended up with a $2500 root canal and a crown because of Renae Wilson. Renae is very unprofessional and lacks integrity. Don't piss her off or she will screw you over. read more
