My friend and i decided to check this place out because of the 32oz cocktails but what we weren't expecting was incredible food. We were the first and only ones at noon after a morning on the beach on a beautiful Friday. Our waitress was sweet and funny and everything came out quickly. I enjoyed my coconut mojito, super refreshing, not too sweet. My friend wasn't crazy about her passionfruit mojito so she ordered el cocotazo coctel and continued to order two more because she was in love. Now to the surprise guest: the food. We honestly only ordered because we were drinking an exorbitant amount of alcohol and needed carbs but boy were we glad we did. The stuffed green plantain was crispy but still soft on the inside, the pork inside was delicious. The fried cheese with guava sauce was interesting, almost reminded me of tofu but we could not stop eating it. The crab wontons were the star of the show in my opinion. Fried pockets were jam packed with a crab salad, topped with creamy guac and sweet eel sauce and I could probably eat 20 in one sitting. I also ordered a mofongo with shrimp in garlic sauce, the texture of the mofongo was soft and creamy unlike most places ive had, which I loved, but the garlic sauce was wayy too salty. That's where they lost a star, but I would definitely make sure to make a stop here the next time im in Puerto Rico read more

Don't come here if you're not ready for a big *** drink. No skimp, no short cuts, it has real fruit and hits where it needs to 32oz of solid drink, you only need one. I drank two at once, but that's how I live my life, mind your business. I always go with acerola mojito, but by now I've had almost everything, fresa (strawberry) & limon (lime) being my next favorite mojitos of all the flavors. By the time you have the 1st one, the 2nd one will be your favorite. Don't sleep, because this is a real Peruvian restaurant. The arroz chaufa, the fish dishes are incredible. I think the seafood chaufa (unfortunately not pictured) was easily my favorite being super fresh and stuffed with shrimp. Favorite thing pictured was the mamposteao and churrasco. First time at Zajori and I'm already obsessed. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and the food? Incredible! I ordered the mamposteao with flank steak and it was better than I could imagine. The rice and beans are mixed with sweet plantains and a punch of flavor that tastes out of this world. That flank steak? So juicy and tender! Their mojitos were delicious with so many flavors to choose from. Service was fast, friendly, and felt like I was visiting family. Zajori is definitely going on my regular rotation. I really had high hopes for this place... Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. There were only two patrons in the whole restaurant when we walked in and when we walked out we were the last two. The food was not great. We ordered: pollo salteado, truffle fries and a salad, a passionfruit lemonade and virgin berry piña colada. Main dish barely had any chicken and did not have the typical Peruvian salteado sauce flavor. The salad had a lot of browned lettuce. The truffle fries were small fried potato cubes, but the flavor was good. I'd say come here for big delicious drinks, but skip the food. The best part was the server. Such a surprise. They don't look like much, but this is a truly elevated dining experience with incredibly fresh seafood. The causa rellena with tuna or mariscos is a must. Dramatic plating, unreal flavor, and as I mentioned, the fish is so fresh it's unforgettable. The fish tacos la loiza, which come topped with a lobster salad, are incredible, too. Maybe the best fish tacos I have ever had. The fish is breaded to perfection and is THICK. Absolutely delicious. Save room for this one. Their menu also focuses on giant mojitos in every flavor combo you can think of, but those look pretty unappetizing. But if you stick to the food, coffee, and beer, you are in for a mind blowing dining experience on Calle Loiza. read more

Small alcapurrias were really interesting and unique but were good; the taro root/green plaintain filling was tasty and satiating. Mofongo side dish was delicious--it's typically a very heavy dense dish, but because we got it as a side, it tasted a bit lighter and cleaner than other mofongo dishes we had. But the highlight was...turnovers with beef, which were OMG incredible--the best turnovers we've had in San Juan so far. PERIOD. The exterior crust was *perfectly* crispy, while the interior was so soft and warm, and the flavors were deliciously both sweet and savory. The meat was savory, while the sauce drizzled on top of the crust was sweet (we don't know what the sauce was, but it was really delicious, not too sweet at all). Came here while visiting PR. It was walking distance from our Airbnb. There was no inline menu so we came strictly for the drinks we saw pictured on Facebook but the food was amazing. This place was so cute and had games and things in the tables so we played jenga while we waited. The service was great, explained some things to us since we didn't read Spanish (the menu was in English but not the drink menu) and even wrote a nice message on my to go box. I had the redfish with seafood paella and that was 10/10. It was so delicious and it was enough food for 2 or 3 people. I had some fancy drink in a bathtub it was very tasty. My friends had the mojito and margaritas which were 32 oz but they said very tasty. Over all this was great and fun place to eat. Great spot for our last night in San Juan. read more

We came here after a loooooong day of walking around San Juan and hanging out at the beach and it was a perfect ending to the day! The food here was amazing! I got the ceviche de pescado which was excellent. We also ordered 3 fish tacos, the the ribeye steak, and also a tica tica to share. I forgot to order something to drink something so half way through I ordered a pistachio-coco lemonade. I thought it would be weird, but it was also very very good, I would definitely recommend it. Visiting PR from NJ and staying in the Condado area, the awesome woman from Sixt Car Rental recommended we try Zajori. She sold us so we went to give it a spin. The place has a great vibe and decor. They have a separate mojito menu which is their signature drink. They are huge!!! I also got the flank steak and it was on top of a sweet mash potato that was just okay imo. I really love coming here once a year. The drinks are always fantastic and even the aperitivos. My fav are the empanadillas and the alcapurrias. The calamari was good too. We tried the croquettes that had cerdo and Maduro i believe and it was pretty tasty. I got something new to eat this time. The saltado de churrasco which was okay, not the best I've had and not the worst. My fav dish which I didn't get is the arroz a la loiza. Amazing dish but super filling if you are drinking so make sure to make room if you're drinking for the big plates of food! Service is pretty solid, this time we went they were a little slow but nothing to complain about. I had the most amazing Puerto Rican rice dish during our two week stay here. The flavors and plentiful food were great! We also had the opportunity to try a few of their huge 32oz flavored mojito s from their to go bar. They have a large selection of flavors to please everyone. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that we had previously eaten here and the choices for food were mediocre not amazing at that time.
