We were accosted on the street as we passed their restaurant. The guy stuck menus of delicious food in our face, and we couldn't resist lol We ordered the fried cheese, Cesar salad, and shrimp mofongo with garlic sauce. We also got a Margarita and red sangria. The food was ok. I did not enjoy the mofongo, but the fried cheese was delicious.

We were pressed for time and in need of a place to eat. Since this place had open tables and no wait time we decided whyyy not. It definitely didn't disappoint. It was hands down one of the best places for mofongo! This was our first stop and it really ruined mofongo at other restaurants for me. There was just something about it that outshined all the other places we ordered from. I opted for the mushroom sauce and it was prefect. I liked that the steak wasn't overly cooked and was still nice and tender, doused in the mushroom sauce. It was the perfect pairing. They didn't skimp on the mushrooms either. I wish we had time to come back to this spot one more time before our trip ended. But overall I'm glad we made it out here.

Very cute small place, beside the famous umbrella street. It has indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was fantastic, food came out quickly, very beautiful plating & tasted great. The best monfondo we had during our visit to PR. Our drinks frozen miami vice & banana & Pina colada were so good.

We were escaping a quick sun shower and stopped in. We tried the Tostones rellenos de carne/skirt steak and they were flavorful and the meat was tender. My bro in law had the piña colada which he enjoyed. I had the coconut mojito which was pretty good. The young man who served us was very attentive and such a delight. Will be back when visiting Old San Juan! Thank you!

The empanadas were huge, filling & delicious 10/10. We had veggie & shrimp. We set outside and enjoyed the overall experience. Service was good too, no issues.

On our last visit to Old San Juan, we stopped in for a light lunch. Diana provided outstanding service! Food was tasty! Loved the shrimp empanadillas!

Place is super cute, we sat outside on the cobblestone street. Our server was amazing and friendly. The mofongo was so good! The empanadas were decent, I really liked the beef one. You can also order off the menu of their sister restaurant across the street which is a mexican menu. We ordered cocktails from there which were good.

If you are looking for a real "San Juan" experience, this is it! It's not fancy and honestly it's a little rough but outside seating on a cobblestone street with authentic PR food, gotta try it. Service was great and food was delicious, 6 of us all with something different and all enjoyed. Drinks are a little pricey for the serving but I will take it given the food, the ambiance and service. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the restrooms need serious attention. Highly recommended for the food, service and outdoor ambiance!

The Inside area of the restaurant the decor is nice but the outside is better cause it's like street dining

They don't take reservations but we were gonna go early anyway. We decided that we'd get there at 5:30 PM and allow up to 30 minutes wait time. My friends got there a bit before 5:30 and were seated before I arrived. I got there a bit after 5:30 and there was a line of people trying to put their names down as I was walking in. They had already ordered drinks and an appetizer. We ordered another app and put in our entree orders. The bacalaitos took about 30 minutes to arrive. They were delicious. Not too salty which was great. The entrees took over 30 more minutes to come. I ordered the paella and it was delicious. My friend thought her mofongo was just ok. I tried a bite and it was kinda bland. The kids thought their entrees were ok. I thought they didn't make the right choices. Service was OK. Server wasn't really present as the majority of our time there was waiting vs eating. That was true for most patrons. Most people seated at tables were waiting instead of eating. Not sure if there was an issue that night. Either way, I'd say that it's still a good spot. You just can't come hangry or in a hurry.

It was my first time trying Trifongo, which is similar to Mofongo, consisting of plantains, yucca, and sweet plantains. This was absolutely delicious! The combination of the ingredients were just right and it was packed with delightful flavor, tasting of garlic and savory seasoning. The Fried Pork was wonderfully crunchy, juicy, and well seasoned. Since I've always seen the long lines outside this store when I passed by, we decided that we try to go in as soon as it opened. So, we lined up around 11:30am. We barely waited much and we got seated. The server that day was quick/efficient/friendly despite the fact that she was running a one woman show. And the food arrived within a decent time. My friends and I decided to order the PUERTO RICAN PLATTER with a side of a side salad. This platter comes with everything you could want & maybe something that might be a bit adventurous for you to eat like blood sausage. Despite that, it's a nice platter to share and try a bit of everything. It's really nice that if you order for 4 people, they give you exactly the amount of pieces that are divisible by 4 (so everyone can try 1-2 pieces of each thing evenly). It also comes with a decent amount of rice/pork as a supplementation, which was nice. It's a balanced meal. And I think the side salad did well to balance out all the fried foods. Overall, we really enjoyed this place. It's a great place to come with friends/families to share. It's a great place as a visitor to try a bit of everything. The platter is a great introduction of puerto rican fried finger foods. And it all taste great! From the presentation of the food to the service here, it's all good. I would recommend this place to others.

Review #1,046 Posted on 4.26.26…read more We came here on Thursday the 23rd while in San Juan area for my buddies 50th birthday. This spot we had seen on social media a ton for being famous for their Mallorca sandwich, a special type bread, we got the one with bacon & American cheese. Man, I made the mistake of doing the bacon instead of ham, overthought that deal. I tried my buddies with ham n cheese and I think that was way to go. I loved how this spot had that super old school feel of like a diner. You can sit at one of the table tops, or you can do the countertop too, which has tons of seats, we all were able to sit there. I'd 100% recommend this spot, but get the ham n cheese mallorca sandwich, don't overthink it.

The pastries displayed at the window were inviting. If you're dining in, you have to tell your server that you're getting some pastries that are on display then you ask the person at the counter who also serves as the cashier to get them for you. The guava pastry was good. The vanilla bread with strawberry and pineapple/lemon was okay. They looked better than they tasted in my opinion. Payment for everything would be at the cashier after dining. If you're in San Juan, this is a place to try!
