I love Zac's Hamburgers, and it's a shame it took me so long to find them! I can get enough food to feed my family of 3 for less than $20, which is something you cannot do at the average fast food restaurant these days. The burgers are good, the fries are hot and crispy, but the milkshakes are the true show stoppers. The cherry and peanut butter banana milkshakes are amazing! Quick review. Seems like a fast food spot but you get tricked into thinking it's more than that by the name of Zac's. I don't know of any chain called Zac's but it seems there's more than one of these places. Open kitchen so you can watch the food being prepared. Chefs were wearing gloves in case that's something you worry about. Service was friendly and greeting. Ordered a bacon mozzarella and plain cheeseburger. Prices are good too compared to these bougie $18 fancy burgers you see at "gourmet" places. The burgers tasted pretty good. No frills, just meat, bacon, cheese, ketchup. The vibe: We opted to eat inside. Small tables but we managed, they squeeze seating to accommodate a decent crowd. Could use some TLC in terms of cleanliness. It's very retro, home town diner with throwbacks like Eye of the Tiger playing which we sung along to! The restroom is out back if you need one as well. I've eaten at this location on Macdade Blvd several times over the years and have always enjoyed my visits. You can find plenty of parking on the side of the building. The inside is pretty sharp with clean/newer tables and chairs, easy to read digital menus and their open kitchen. The usual ladies were behind the counter taking orders and working the flat top. The staff is always friendly, helpful with the menu and anything else you need. On my most recent visit I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. After you order and pay you can take a seat and someone will bring your food out to your table. They always give you a big portion of fries. The burgers themselves are simple patties cooked on a flat top much like you'd find at Charlie's down the street. The burgers are always consistent and most people order doubles given the size of the patties, but I still stick to a single. Single cheeseburgers are $4 ... I think I walked out spending $9 and change on my combo meal. The pro of this location over the one on Chester Pike is you have more room and don't end up smelling like fried food. They aren't the best place for a burger, but they do a great job and are a "Delco" staple in my opinion. read more

This is a packed crowded tiny and dirty little burger joint. Perfect for the Diners/Drive ins/Dives crowd. This would most definitely rank as dive. The dining area is cramped and could use a thorough cleaning. The bathrooms are outside and there really isn't much space left in the place to wait for take out. As for the food. These burgers rank up there with some of good ones. Juicy and not overcook. Toppings done just right and the only reason for any stars at all. This is my only go-to fast food restaurant. The burgers are good but the salads are amazing!!! The portions are enough for two. When I don't know what I want for dinner, a Zac's salad is it. My wife and I were trying to figure out what to eat for dinner but we wanted something quick and good. We ended up stopping by Zac's and we didn't regret it. We ordered cheeseburgers and spicy fries will all of the toppings you could think of. I will give the staff credit they were patient and figured out a way to change our order to the spicy fries. The wait wasn't too long and the atmosphere was ok but needed to be cleaned. There was a good amount of crumbs and trash on some tables and chairs. Ok zacs burger service was alright here but I went with 4 of my family members and we all gor burgers and fries and we all ate the meals we got up paided and then left zacs but the morning after we went to Zac's we all felt like crap we were all throwing up and had bad stomach aches and were doing more then number 2s on the toilets I think we got food posioned by Zac's because before we ate there we felt fine and weren't having any problems and a couple hours later we all felt like crap and just were not doing well at all so I would like to stay that this is the worst experience I've ever had at a burger place in years and I will probably never eat here again because of this reason. read more

I just had an extremely disappointing experience with Zac's Hamburgers. The staff, who appear to be quite young and inexperienced whenever I order in person , were unfortunately careless, rude, and inattentive. I ordered three double cheeseburgers through DoorDash, but the initial dasher stole the order and never marked it as picked up. When a second dasher arrived at the store, they found out the order had already been taken. Instead of resolving the issue, the store staff told the new dasher that I needed to call DoorDash myself to reorder. After contacting DoorDash support via their chat feature (since there is no phone number available), they called the store on my behalf. Shockingly, the store insisted that I needed to pay again for them to remake the order, despite the fact that I had already paid and my order was stolen. This level of service is unacceptable and has left me very disappointed. I hope Zac's Hamburgers can improve their customer service and staff training to prevent such issues in the future. read more

Got a private catering event from Zac's today at my job and they are so nice! The food was fresh, and the fries were crispy! It's a good burger. The best part of the entire ordeal was the truck itself. It's SO CLEAN! I mean I am a food truck lover and i have seen some things! And when i say you could eat off this truck.... you actually may be able to i mean it wasn't even dust on the outside! They do large parties, weddings and venues. I broke my ankle so I cannot drive. ONLY reason I used delivery. Also, for some reason they are not doing DoorDash. But they use Uber eats. I received my bag completely stapled closed. Missing items, some items wrong. Called the store. They said they couldn't do anything. Didn't even try to help me at all. If you are looking for a burger that taste fresh from home, this is the spot. My first initial bite was making me think I was eating a burger my father would make at home! It was extremely juicy and seasoned just right. The fries were similar to McDonald's fries back in 2006 when they actually tasted like French fries would during the last supper. False advertising. Stopped at the Zac's location at Lincoln Financial Field with a friend. The lit up menu shows a Zac pack deal that's 4 burgers + jumbo fries. Cashier asks for tip, which I add. After all is paid, no fries are given. I ask what's up with the fries, and the cashier says they aren't included with the deal. She says she's been having to tell customers that all day and she wishes they would change the menu, because it's confusing. Apparently she doesn't tell customers until after they paid and tipped. The burgers are ok, a bit on the small side. Not sure how their fries are. read more

I have always been a Charlie's guy. I might be rethinking it. Right down the street is Zac's. Got a double cheeseburger. It was hot, fresh and larger then Charlie's . Like a lot bigger for a little more then $4.00. I was actually surprised how much I liked it. It's located in an old Arby's from the 70's. Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember that. It's gotta be a pass for me, the burger is the same size and texture as any other burger from a diner style restaurant. But the thing is they are advertising as a burger joint. I've lived in Delco my whole life never tried it, today I gave it a try the burger is a 3.5/10 the black and white shake was good, yet I did find a small beard hair in the bottom of it when I was finished drinking it. It did effect my score giving the shake a 6.7/10 then again for some of you that may have been something that would have really bothered you, you may have voted a little lower.
