The downside, and the really big downside, was the food. I got a steak that should've been medium well and it was medium at best. And it was brought out basically lukewarm. And it was rubbery. My wife had the walleye which was worse than my steak. It wasn't cooked well and she left most of it. Her side, which was au gratin potatoes, were initially forgotten by our food server so they were brought out late. The deviled eggs appetizers were just very pedestrian and did not have much flavor to them so we had to put a lot of salt on them. Overall, this is probably one of the poorest restaurants that we have been in as we've traveled around the country and even the world. It was even a bigger disappointment because of the price point, which was very high. And to add insult in injury, they charged me $.75 for horseradish!... I do not recommend this restaurant and I will not be returning.

There is a difference between farm raised and wild caught that can be easily tasted. It was disappointing but they did take it off the ticket. For the filet mignon, it was listed as bacon wrapped. The bacon was not crisp but rather dull in color. I ordered it with coleslaw which was a mistake. The sweet potato was served whole and uncut. I had to ask for the butter for it. The manager did apologize for the salmon not being to the satisfaction of being grilled and that the menu needed to changed to it being broiled.

That wouldn't necessarily be a dealbreaker if the food made up for it, but unfortunately it didn't. My wife and I shared the Ribs and Side Pieces. The ribs tasted okay, but they had considerably more fat and less meat than I prefer. The fries were similarly unremarkable--perfectly edible, but nothing I'd go back for. What really bothered me was the cleanliness. The bathroom was dirty. A friend of mine who owns several restaurants once told me that he considers the condition of a restaurant's bathroom a useful clue to how seriously management takes cleanliness in areas customers can't see. Fair or not, that thought was difficult to shake after seeing this one. More concerning: a few hours after our shared lunch, both my wife and I became sick. Obviously, I can't establish that the restaurant caused it, and I'm not claiming that it did. But given that we ate the same meal and both developed symptoms afterward, it's something I think is worth mentioning. Between the dingy atmosphere, dirty bathroom, mediocre food, and our unfortunate experience later that day, two stars feels generous.

We're ending our two month motorhome trip to escape the Texas heat. We have grown tired of pub food and more tired of food that is not good. I Googled best Mexican food in Bismarck. C&T popped up. We went. We ate. We rejoiced. As soon as we sat down our server, Liliana, brought us chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and warm. The salsa was delicious with just enough "heat". Liliana was excellent and charming. We enjoyed a little conversation with her. I had chicken fajitas and my wife had enchiladas. Both were delicious and large portions. We brought half back to the motorhome with us. Liliana even brought us a paper sack for the rest of our chips and container for the salsa. Again, she was excellent. I am NOT one of those guys who says "I am from such and such a place and you cant get good such and such elsewhere. I will admit that good Mexican food is hard to find in some areas. Finding C&T allowed us to have a delicious meal after several days of bad. When we drove up, we thought this might be a corporate franchise, but it is not. It is locally owned.
