Tint Works & Car Audio - I dropped this car off spotless

Unfortunately it only takes one bad experience to ruin a businesses reputation. This is the 4th car…read moreI've taken here to have the tint installed, I will say they are pricey but WERE worth the cost. The initial 3 interactions were very professional and hassle free. Showed up, they walked me through what I wanted and how much it would cost, I left, there were done in 2-3 hours, I paid, that was it. Great experience. This last time was not. I dropped off my 2026 Acura Integra Type S (which had less than 800 miles on it) off, informed the guy I wasn't interested in paying so much like last time, ($640 for the step above basic tint) and was wondering if they could work with me on the price, they couldn't, oh well. And like the other times I drop my car off, they're done within 2-3 hours and I come to pick it up. The first thing I notice is the car was filthy, I dropped it off spotless, salt shot up the sides of the car like it was doing highway speeds. I go into pay, get my keys, come out to the car and start it up, Every light on the dash that could be on, was on. Not to mention my alcantara seats were dirty. So I drive off and immediately call them, they explain "this happens all the time just drive it." I drive it at all speeds for 30 mins and the lights still are on. I call them back again and explain, and tell them "this only happens when the battery is deep cycled". Long story short they let my cars battery die, and said they could reset the light, they had some guy from the shop drive my car (it's a 6 speed manual) trying to reset the light which didn't work. They explained it was completely normal for this to happen because they need the car on they just forgot to hook up a battery charger, so I had to take it to the dealer to have the battery "charged and reconditioned and have basic settings parameters set". The owner or whatever he was maintained complete deniability throughout this whole thing and stuck to the "this is completely normal it happens all the time" script.

Tint Works scheduled an appointment to look at my son's car for stereo installation. He…read morere-arranged his schedule to accommodate this. When he got there, they looked at him and his car and had no interest. They said "Well, you're not 18 so we can't talk to you." Why didn't they ask him this when he made the appointment? They are hustlers, that's why. My son is old enough to work, pay taxes and have a stereo installed at Best Buy. Tint Works is terrible.

Can you imagine being a automotive enthusiast and then buying your dream ride. A brand new 2018…read moreToyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road, like a $40,000 truck and wanting to have it customized and then after careful research and reading nothing but good reviews you pick a shop. So you call this shop and are buttered up and lead to believe that you are in good hands the whole time and rest assured that everything is fine gonna be perfect? But then they cause $5025.18 in damages to your new vehicle with less than 300 miles when you dropped it off after spending $2000... Well I have and it's here at Carmeleon Skins located in Columbus Ohio. I sent these pictures to the owners and asked maybe a refund is in order? The owner said he wanted to go over it in person and would like to take the time and fix the damages. Unfortunately I can not in good faith let this guy try and fix my truck and risk anymore damages. I have lost all faith in Carmeleon Skins rectifying this mistake on their own. It needs to be fixed by professionals at a Toyota dealership. The truck wasn't been completed when I picked it up and I still have razor blade marks and scratches that all ad up over $five grand all through out my truck. I'm deeply saddened and in disbelief by what happened. It just killed my new car experience. I truly pray it doesn't happen to someone else like it did me. Play close attention to what you having done and don't pay upfront like I did, is the best advice I can give. I highly recommend you never have them wrap anything. The tint is dull and looks faded as seen in the pictures. They both seem very humble and like good kind people. Which I'm sure they are but unfortunately it's sad to say, they just do not have the skill set to perform this kind of job. Please see pictures and you decide if you want to take the risk and have what happened to me, happen to your vehicle? * UPDATE... Eventually they contacted me and only paid for $1369.23 towards damages of $5021.53. #CarmeleonSkins #teamcs #ceramicpro #fail #aintpaint #Ripoff #614trucks #Columbus #ColumbusOhio #DubIR #2018 #Toyota #Tacoma #TRD #Off #Road #TRDoffroad #3rdgentacoma #SpiderTrax 1.25" #wheelspacers, #TRD #HeritageGrille, #Morimoto #LED #Fogs #tacoma #tint @ceramicpro @carmelonSkins @Yelpgold @Yelpelite @dubirtint #cermicprofail #carmeleonskins_cleveland #sema #semashow

I hesitated and watched some more..... Here is my story... As a Yelp Elite of several years, I take my reviews seriously and am always straight forward and honest. From my first communication with Carmeleon Skins; my experience has been more than amazing! I have a very dependable 2012 Rav4, but have always hated the granny gold color. I got the itch to buy a new car and realized the only thing I was unhappy with was the color! So.... I took the leap and contacted This business. I was given a quick quote from Ashley almost immediately through Facebook. I then was invited to come in to talk to Bert. Bert is a passionate artist that knows his craft! He offered many recommendations of how to enhance the look of my Rav. Once I met them both, I felt I had known them for years! Good people that are masters at what they do, with integrity for their craft. The rest is represented in the pictures! See before "granny gold" and after!!! I am now a very happy owner of a car that has a warantied red diamond base with blacked out grill, wheels, roof etc! It looks AMAZING! They also made custom decals to add the personality I wanted for the "Choose Joy" mobile! Should you consider this company??? The answer is; WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Happy, Happy, Happy!
