At Banana Republic, they were helpful in finding my size when I didn't see it available on the shelf. I spent a few pleasant hours just browsing the stores at my leisure.

After a long, hard road (literally) of losing weight, I impulsively decided to treat myself to my first pair of 501s. Striding confidently into the store, the perky salesperson asked if I needed any help. I told her what I needed, and she pointed to the back wall, where the 501s were boldly displayed, in every shade of blue imaginable, plus several other fashionable colors. I already knew I wouldn't be happy with anything other than the basic indigo hue, and quickly found my size. The dressing room beckoned to me, and as I closed the door behind me, I felt a rush of excitement as I tried on the coveted denims. I fumbled with the button fly, but I figured I would get used to it, and admired the perfect fit! Now, after six months, and another two-inches off my waist, I returned to update my collection of jeans. One size down, still a perfect fit, and I purchased several pair--enough to last me for a while. Next time, I'll try a different style--stretch denim, boot-cut, zipper fly 505s? I don't know, but now that I can actually wear jeans, I might get one of each. I longingly looked at the denim jackets, and some of the shirts on the racks, but decided I'd gradually ease into my newfound sense of casual dressing. While the prices aren't much less than on the Levi's website, the advantage of being able to try on different styles and sizes made up for the convenience of online ordering. Checkout was quick and easy, and the sales people were friendly and helpful. This may become my new favorite place to shop.

When we walked into the store we were greeted by two amazing staff members who asked us how we were doing and actually cared to make conversation. The store itself was well stocked with items, but the prices here were a bit high for the styles of merchandise they had. A family member of ours has some of the items being sold here and she told us that they were from a few seasons ago and the pricing wasn't much different than the retail price. In the end, the store was average but what made our experience special was the incredible staff who made us feel welcome. This is expecially important this time of year. In the future we will come back to this store but hopefully during a clearance sale.

I walked into the store, the Saturday after Christmas and was immediately handed a 20% coupon and they were currently running a 50% sale already! I was in heaven! The only thing that was lacking was the 00p. They had a lot of 00, just not petits and that goes for all the sizes. So I got the things I knew would fit me and that was the tops. I also loaded up on some jewelry and things for the man. There are lots of employees here, but none of them really asked if people needed assistance with finding stuff. They seemed mainly concerned with ringing people up. I was asked at the register if I had any help and I happily told them no. I had over $500 worth or items and was happy to see my total drop to $200 after my discounts. I went back to exchange something two weekends later, because it turned out to be too small for my man. The store seemed to have been ransacked... And there many empty shelves. Either the sale went great or they are not really good about restocking. Either way, the store is a great deal when compared to normal jcrew. Just not the service. Will I go back? Yes, I may not like the service there, but I do love the sales and discounts. Though the outlets, in general, have few stores that interest me now (J. Crew, Banana Republic, and kiosk in the food court that sells cinnamon rolls bigger than my head), this J. Crew outlet fails to disappoint. I can always walk away with SOMETHING. Almost all bases are covered here: clothing for men, women, and a "crewcuts" section for the wee little preppy children. Sometimes the sales are *myeh* (e.g.: The clothes I always want the most are on sale for $5 off; that cute cream-colored pencil skirt my eye was immediately drawn to upon entering the store? Down from $75 to $70. I might as well buy it in the city...) Conversely, there are always great deals on basics. T-shirts, sweaters, and cardigans are regularly 20 - 40% off, and the sales rack does yield some cute things at great bargains. This place is clean and tidy, too. Ever been to an outlet where it looks like a tornado hit the clothes? (Or, perhaps, it looks like a tourist group full of bossy women with crunchy blonde hair and fanny packs tore it apart with little regard for others?) Rarely do I come across a clothing display in which even a shirt collar is askew or a button is not done up when it should be. It's beautifully maintained, absolutely. Granted, it's a 45 minute trip from my parents' house, and Woodbury Commons isn't THAT far from NYC, but I love this store. Absolutely. When I need to get my Sexy Work Lady look in order, my pilgrimage yields rewards...like V-neck leopard-print cardigans.

The prices are slightly higher, but I feel they are better quality shoes, at with respect to what I wanted. I require a wide, EEE width, shoe, and Clarks has a slightly better selection of these than the other stores. The shows I wanted were already 20% off, and I was able to use the Lee Outlets VIP discount brochure to get another 15% off, plus they got me started on a frequent shoppers discount card which will not expire. The shoes are comfortable, and the price was reasonable (for dress shoes).
