Wellott handled the electrical portion of a kitchen and fireplace renovation for us. Zac was our…read moremain contact, with Jack assisting. We wanted to relocate an outlet out of the way of the fireplace work, add outlets above the mantle, above the upper cabinets, and under the sink, then remove the old under-cabinet light fixtures and prep the wiring for LED tape lights going in later. The above-cabinet outlets and routing wire from below the cabinets to above were the tricky part, and there were multiple ways to approach it. Some of them would have been easier on the installer and worse for our desired plans. Zac's quote reflected a total solution that got me everything I asked for rather than the shortcut. During the estimate he explained the options and the limitations honestly, and he never talked down to me even though what I wanted was more complicated and more expensive than a simple job. On the day of the work, he arrived in the middle of the scheduled window and immediately knocked out everything that required cutting power to parts of the house, which kept our disruption to a minimum. Some of the work required breaking through existing tile that's coming out later in the renovation anyway, and he did it carefully and quickly without any damage beyond what was necessary. The finished work is high quality and every area they worked in was left clean. The final invoice had zero surprises and was adjusted fairly as the project evolved, exactly as described during the quote. We will definitely be using Wellott Electric on future projects.

I then spent 30 minutes or so going through more books and ringed binders than I could count before landing on a fabric that was just right. Everything got measured and ordered. We hired EMG Upholstery to make custom cushions for our patio sectional after not being able to get…read morethrough to my previous provider. So I went on the hunt to keep money flowing locally and found EMG. Let me start off by saying the fellow Erik, who did the work was as helpful and nice as he could be. He came by our home and did the measurements and we agree'd on pricing and fabric and I paid him half for the order. Custom cushions are not cheep, but he was more reasonable than ordering custom off line as our sizes were no where to be found so I really had no choice here. I had asked Erik to please only make one bottom and one back FIRST so that I see if the density and the workmanship was on point so we would be able to make any changes before making the rest. About a month and a half I get a text ( they like to text ), that the cushions were ready. ALL OF THEM! I didn't get my samples first and was not happy about that. They delivered the cushions and OMG they were soooo hard. They promised me they'll soften up in a couple of months....we'll see. So after agreeing to keep them and paying my balance, I'm looking at them and honestly not happy with the quality of workman ship. It's just not a professional job. I'm hoping they get better at these type of jobs. I wish them success. But I can not with clear conscience recommend them at this time for these type of cushions and I won't be using them again.
