I came to Rashell because of all the amazing Yelp reviews and honestly thought there was no way I…read morecould go wrong with someone rated 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, that just wasn't my experience. I went in for a brow lamination and shaping and explained that I wasn't into the super thick, trendy brow look. I wanted something more natural and balanced. After the lamination process, she started shaping my brows and when she showed me the results, I immediately noticed they looked uneven and lacked symmetry and thicker than I had wanted. I mentioned it to her and asked if she could correct them a bit, and while she did try, they still didn't look right to me afterward but I paid and left. I felt I could shape them better at home myself. The friend I had brought with me pointed out that they looked different from each other. Individually, they weren't terrible, but together, they just didn't look balanced or well-shaped as a pair. Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting perfect symmetry because brows are naturally sisters, not twins, but for a $150 service from someone with such a strong reputation, I did expect more attention to overall shape and balance. What disappointed me the most was what happened over the next few days. My brow hairs stayed extremely dry, stiff, and brittle well past the normal timeframe. By day three, they still felt very dry and I started noticing actual breakage and kinking in the hairs. After researching it online, it really seemed like my brows were overprocessed. I reached out to her because I understand mistakes happen and everyone can have an off day. I simply wanted to let her know what was happening and hoped she would at least respond or offer some help. Unfortunately, I never heard back from her at all, and honestly that part spoke volumes to me. I truly don't understand how so many people had such amazing experiences while mine was so disappointing, but this was genuinely my experience and I wanted to share it honestly.

Exterior = 5/5 Located near the train station, it's on the corner of a street. There is parking (if you are lucky) inside but only a few spots, so most likely go for street parking but wasn't hard to find in front of the location. Interior = 5/5 It was bustling, they have a salon that had customers coming and going. I came specifically for the microblading - so Kelly brought me over to a room on the right that was private which I appreciated since after you close the door, it muffles the sounds of all the activity outside. Service = 5/5 Everyone I encountered were super kind and welcoming. Kelly is blowing up and doing all these cool events with her team with Gold House and still managing weddings all over. Yet, she is still so humble and takes her time to chat and learn more about the customer. I was super nervous to get microblading but she walked me through the process, helped me feel comfortable with the results we were planning, and would check in on me frequently through the whole thing. I felt like I had a say in the process and honestly that a friend was doing my brows - it was casual, relaxed, and chill. Order = 5/5 I got the combo brows which is microblading with powder. I will never not get this. I had patchy brows (over plucking, scarring, yikes) that I was super self conscious of growing up and was having to fill them in. Since getting these done - I barely have had to fill in, maybe a slight touch up if I have an event or need to do some make up. If you like bare faced and natural looks, this was game changing. I'm super not familiar with make up or skilled at it - enough to be dangerous, and this helped me so much. I feel more confident and happier with my brows. Only slight upkeep is needed to trim! I have already gotten my touch up from the initial appointment, and you only need to go maybe every year or so after to touch up. Overall = 5/5 Great investment that I kick myself for not having done sooner. But honestly, glad I waited till I found Kelly. I tried brow lamination, and it wasn't for me. Her microblading skills are top notch and give a very natural look which I wanted. I found my brow girl and never going back. Hint = check her Instagram if you are indecisive, I saw them all and I knew she was the one. My photo is on there too!

Post sweaty 10k run and my brows still look fabulous!

SUCH A DELIGHT!! I never write Yelp reviews but had to come on here to express how much I absolutely LOVE Sheila and the amazing facials she does, they have literally transformed my face and given be a glow that I didn't know was possible, and I have extremely sensitive and temperamental skin! I actually started coming to her for lashes - which are also the best in the biz, but finally started getting facials because I felt like she really knew what she was doing, and puts so much love and care into it, and its such a wonderful, clean and relaxing sanctuary environment I can't express enough how much I love going here. She does all vegan and natural facials which is tthe only reason I decided to try it, because I've had terrible results from facials in the last from other places, but hers have had nothing but positive results!! This is the most result orientated facial experience I have ever had. Shelia is so knowledgeable about skin care, especially anti-aging. She incorporates chinese meridan technique in her healing facial. The ice sculpting and undereye treatments are the best because I see a big difference in my skin. I love all the products she uses on my skin and the ones I purchase. I trust her advice and recommendations. She is kind, caring and a beautiful person. I recently came to the spa to get a microdermabrasion facial from Sheila. It was unlike any facial that I have ever had in the past which simply moisturizes with steam. Microdermabrasion removes dead skin as well as the top portion of epidermis along with wrinkles, blemishes, scars, and many other facial skin malformations. It is preceded by a thorough cleansing and followed by a moisturizing and collagen growth promoting massage that is the state of the art in facial skin care. It gives the face a dramatically more youthful appearance that is truly amazing! I intend to come back regularly to beat the crowd which is certain to follow! David A. Hall, MD read more

Elizabeth clarified that she is taking new customers, but would help to schedule the first appointment for me due to recent no-shows/cancellations, and then after my first appointment I would have access to her website for booking. I've been on a bit of a self-care binge as of late and getting facials was at the top of my list just due to my own concerns about hyperpigmentation. I discussed with Elizabeth over IG my concerns and decided to get the microdermabrasion facial. Upon arrival to my first appointment, I was greeted by Elizabeth's warm smile and friendly demeanor. Filled out some forms and then Elizabeth was able to see that a hydrodermabrasion facial would be better suited for my skin type (and though it's more expensive, since she quoted me a microdermabrasion, I was able to pay for micro price the first time). I've been to Elizabeth a couple times now and plan to make this a regular thing (hopefully every 4-6 weeks). Elizabeth has gentle hands and is super informative with any questions I had about skin and skincare. She even uses a steamer prior to extractions, which I love! She does different masks and LED light, and she will tell you what products she is using. Also includes a scalp, neck and shoulder massage. It always feels like a pampering session, and I have even been taking some pictures to compare for myself since it's harder to see the changes to my skin day-to-day. I always leave feeling refreshed. Highly recommend Elizabeth! Parking is street parking (directly in front can be challenging to back out of sometimes, otherwise, you can park on Chelsea and walk a little further over.) As a side note: it is a bit of a splurge to get facials, but Elizabeth caters her facials to your skin type and never pressures to purchase additional skincare products. I did purchase a lightening serum of her own brand (I think?) Sorella and have noticed a difference in evening my skin tone. Gratuity is always optional, but Elizabeth's system lets you add to your card payment if you want.
