I have to admit, I have discovered Peruvian kitchen last year and I have been an absolute freak…read moresince! Everywhere I go I look for food and restaurants from Peru. I am so addicted to ceviche that if it is on a menu of any restaurant I just have to order it! I even travelled to Madrid especially to dine and Astrid and Gaston´s restaurant... told you I am a FREAK! About 6 months ago a friend told me I do not have to travel to Madrid to get my portion of Causa Limeña, Ceviches and Pisco, I can get it in Valencia in Commo! I went with high expectations and have returned many times since. It is the only Peruvian restaurant in Valencia that did not disappoint me in any way. The chef Vanessa is a lovely peruvian Lady graduated in Cordon Bleu, during one of my visits on a weekday it was not so busy and she came to our table to explain a bit about the food and its multicultural history. Jean her husband will make you feel welcome and will give recommendations what to try. By now I have almost tried their entire menu and I have my own favourites: Tacu-tacu, Quinotta with truffle, fish soup, causa limeña, tiraditos of salmon and not to forget Ceviche! Of course accompanied with a Pisco sour or maracuya. But leave some space for dessert as they are excellent! Enjoy... I can't wait till my next visit!

The food here is art. That's it. It is the most complex, unusual, and well thought out cuisine I…read morehave ever had. Each dish is perfectly garnished with subtle sauces and greens that confuse and delight the palate. I ended up going two nights in a row. It is the kind of decadent, gourmet, High class meal that would cost at least 100$ in the US. Here's what you need to know: *on a weekend you will need a reservation But during the week it is very quiet and you Can easily walk in unannounced. *they only have a set menu with courses to choose from, BUT every single option is exquisite, and there are vegetarian options available *the menu is about 15€ per person, not including drinks. If you are very used to paying for food in Spain this is expensive, but if you are coming from the USA on Holliday you will literally be in total awe that food of this quality could possibly cost 30€ total. Price wise in the US, that's a meal at Olive Garden that gives you indigestion later. You'll be stunned by the quality vs price here I guarantee it. *you can come with a group as big as about 6 to as small as just 1 *if you don't speak any Spanish bring a translating app for the menu. The dishes are Complex and I speak enough Spanish to get by here well, but still needed to look some words up. *the BRIE dish is my favorite. They may not have it every night but if you're lucky and see it on the menu GET. IT. You will dream about it and miss it every day after. Overall: my favorite restaurant in Valencia by far, and it's also in the incredible barrio del Carmen neighborhood which is constructed of lots of mysterious and cool Alleyways, and covered in gorgeous and off beat street art.

Wonderful food and excellent value. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to karak and we even…read moremet Raquel the chef afterwards . The only potential improvement would be to the decor of the restaurant and my wife said the ladies loo seat was broken!! After dinner go a drink at the record shop/ round the corner to finish off great night in Valencia .
