My husband and I stayed here last month on our trip. The hotel and staff are great! Location is walking distance to most attractions. Their rooftop pool/bar has awesome views of the city. The complimentary breakfast and wine happy hour is a bonus! Rooms are a bit small but you'll be out and about majority of the time anyways. Will definitely consider staying here again for our next trip.

Welcoming card for our second stay :)

This is definitely one of the best hotels we had ever stayed in. Everything there is perfect: location, staff, service, food, terrace with pool. We arrived a little bit before the check in time and were given a room almost right away along with welcoming glass of Cava. While we were waiting at the hotel manager gave us few recommendations about restaurants and places to visit. We got a terrace room and it was great, you can enjoy sunrise every morning with cup of coffee. The terrace on the rooftop is amazing and so is the view. You can relax on the sunbed, have a drink, snack and dip in the pool. Pools is not deep enough to have a regular swim but its a great option to have a splash. I have to mention our bartender Andrea who made our time in Yurbban Passage even greater :)!! They serve breakfast every morning (cost of $19 euro per person unless you have it paid with your room) and the choice of food served is fantastic, it is really worth the price. Besides a buffet like table with meats, juices, cheese and sweets you get to order few options from the kitchen along with coffee. You can even have a glass of wine or Cava :) The staff is AMAZING, we had few questions and needs along the way and everything was provided to us swiftly. After Barcelona we went to Italy but were coming back for last few days so we were offered a discount for the room as returning guests and left some baggage for storage. I cannot say how nice are the people working there. There is one more thing as somebody mentioned in the review, the hotel uses their own line of fragrance and beauty products and the whole complex smells soooo good. All the was and hair product will leave you with this amazing smell. We loved it so much that I had to buy a room fragrnace from them so it can remind us at home of this gorgeous stay we had in Yurbban Hotel. We will definitely come back one day :) The last thing is location--it is close to everything you want to explore in Barcelona, shops, La Rambla, metro, coffee, restaurants.

This hotel has horrible customer service. We were excited to stay at this hotel for our honeymoon but with Covid19, we had to postpone our wedding and cancel our honeymoon. All our flights and other hotels were very much so happy to work with us and cancel our reservations but Yurbban would NOT cancel our reservation and recommended we rebook the hotel for another time OR have someone else use the reservation. Unfortunately we don't know when all we will be able to go back to normal life so the future is unpredictable. They are very inconsiderate during this pandemic we are living in and have not been flexible during this uncontrollable time. Highly recommend not booking with them.

TLDR: Come for the rooftop views of Barcelona, not so much for the stay…read more While Barceló Raval's rooftop offers one of the best panoramic views of Barcelona, the hotel itself is giving knockoff of the W. They try to give off that sexy, mysterious vibe, but as soon as you step into the room, the green ceiling, cheap fixtures and damask wallpaper give it away. The hotel is reasonably "affordable" for its location (near the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta), but definitely in a sketchy area. I highly advise walking outside the hotel at night, as you'll find the rough crowds your parents warned you about. The nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk, and to get there, you have to cut through some of the sketchiest alleys. I booked through Expedia and was upgraded to a room with a view, a bottle of mini wine & an extra bottle of water. My amenities weren't so great from the moment I opened the door. Since my room was pretty high up, the room was stifling & those views were blocked by a stainless steel mesh. FYI: your room requires a key card at all times if you're trying to use electricity, which includes air conditioning. The shower initially felt luxurious--spacious with a giant waterfall head and solid water pressure--followed by lush bath towels, but that impression faded once I noticed the pockets of mold and grime in the corners. Sleeping was also a challenge since walls are thin and anytime the guests next to me entered their room, it sounded like someone was entering mine, which kept me paranoid and on high alert. Rooftop: the rooftop not only offers panoramic views of Barcelona, but also has a bar and pool, though hard to even suggest the pool is an amenity since it's more so for aesthetic than functionality. On the roof, it's not an open floor plan, so you'll have to walk around the building to get a full 360 view. For those who are height deficient such as myself: prepare for obstructed views because of the high railings (great for safety, but not so much for those under 5'3).

The location is truly unbeatable - just a block away from Plaça de Catalunya, a couple of blocks from a major metro stop and several main bus lines, a few blocks from great shopping and with good casual food scattered throughout. It's a great central spot for sightseeing where you're primarily relying on public transit, but also quiet and safe if traveling solo. I booked a signature room through my travel agent, and was delighted that they allowed me to check in a couple of hours early AND upgraded me to a signature balcony room. The hotel is very cute snd colorful, with modern design. The room was clean and pretty spacious, and the balcony was such a nice touch! I liked opening the windows every afternoon and sitting on the chaise and reading. There are refillable water stations on each floor by the elevator, which was a small but big perk to me. Awesome water pressure and temperature, kind, attentive service by staff, and incredible rooftop bar made this a fun place to kick off my stay in Spain. Small gripes: As a short person was the bathroom tub was a bit tall for me to climb into and out of. There was not a true fridge/freezer in the room; the staff was kind enough to store something in their freezer for me but it felt too out of my way to ask them to do it too often for me. The lobby bar drinks were fine but nothing to write home about. Overall though this is such a great hotel and I'd absolutely stay here again. It feels luxe but had very reasonable rates, even right after Easter which is peak tourism. The rooftop bar is very much worth a visit, beautiful views of the city and a fun, lively vibe. I cannot recommend this hotel more!

I had thought having our hotel in this area would have been a mistake, knowing about the pickpocketing and protests from locals regarding tourists. Yet I found it so convenient to many attractions within walking distance, just a block away from the metro station, souvenirs in the shops, with late night spots if you're hungry, and being close to a few markets. The room was spacious and modern. We slept well in their comfortable king bed. We were given slippers and a bathrobe along with the typical amenities like hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There was even a bathroom scale! Something I rarely see in hotel rooms these days. Our package deal included breakfast at their daily buffet. And it's one of the better buffets that actually has a made-to-order-eggs table. I love that there's a personal chef for those who like their eggs a certain way. They had many Spanish cured meats, cheeses, fruits, salads, pastries and bread, cold cereals, yogurts, coconut chia seed pudding, churros and chocolate (though it was not like a churros shop), and even congee, blended smoothies and power green drinks as well as fresh squeezed juices. We were impressed to see a few different items changed on a daily basis to keep the buffet fresh and new. I liked it better than the buffet we had in Madrid, despite it having a better hotel rating. The front desk staff was super helpful when we needed a family metro pass for 8 trips verses getting an unnecessary unlimited pass. That saved us money! She directed us to the metro station up the block and had us buy a family T pass. This was only €12. You would scan and let one person go through first while keeping the pass to scan yourself in. You can scan multiple times because it is for a group and not an individual pass. If I visit Barcelona again, I wouldn't hesitate coming back to Le Méridien! It was perfect for all our needs!

We initially requested an early morning appointment but our hotel contact explained that some places didn't open for complimentary access until 10am. That was a great tip cause we were able to view many behind the scenes locations with the private guide. The rooftop bar has an amazing view and both meals and drinks are available for order. Kimpton Vividora Barcelona - Wonderful Service and Spacious Suite…read more We loved our stay at Kimpton Vividora! The location in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter has both advantages and a few practical considerations, especially if you're traveling with luggage or heading to a cruise. We had read reviews expressing concern about the hotel's pedestrian-street location and whether vehicles could reach the entrance. We arranged a private transfer and were dropped off right at the front door. Since it was pouring rain, we were extremely grateful not to have to walk with our luggage. With renovations underway on Las Ramblas, we actually preferred this location to hotels directly on the main street. However, getting a taxi to the cruise port was a different experience. We hadn't arranged transportation in advance and waited at least 20 minutes for the bellman to get us a taxi. Even when using the hotel's taxi app, there were so many people waiting that we ended up sharing a cab with another couple. If you're staying here before a cruise, I strongly recommend arranging your transportation to the port ahead of time. We booked a King Suite and loved the spacious room and updated decor. Our corner room on the top floor was an added bonus. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. After an overnight flight, we greatly appreciated having our room ready when we arrived. The staff at the front entrance, front desk, and coffee shop/bar were all wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary and staying the night before our big cruise. Although the rain put a damper on the evening, Kimpton Vividora made our stay comfortable and memorable. We would happily recommend this boutique hotel for its spacious suites, excellent service, and central location.
