If you hear odd ass growls from your TUMMY And you need some dinner company in a HURRY And if your best friend is not so CHUMMY And your other friend spat out her DUMMY And if your Gummy Bears are no longer GUMMY And if you're tired of pasta, subs and CURRY Then I know a place we can grab some GRUBBY The kind that gives foodgasms and makes you CHUBBY The kind that is addictive and makes me TUBBY The kind you wanna photograph, discuss and STUDY The hot chicken that's served here at YUMMY WHAT Definitely one of the best food truck sandwiches in Houston. It's spicy, it's juicy, it's delicious. It jumps on the obsession aka trend of Nashville Hot Chicken, but it's quite different, with a middle eastern taste to it. Very very much worth your time and worth a try. It's located at Westheimer and Montrose in the food truck park, and is probably one of the 10 best food trucks in the city. It's not usually too busy, so I hope they manage to stick around, because it's delicious. Now let's rap some more. And if you're bored of your Middle Aged HUBBY And if your doctor side ho's attire is too SCRUBBY And if the gardener is a little too SHRUBBY And if your ex-bf's thingy is STUBBY And your other ex's dancing is just too CLUBBY Then I think you should relocate TO ME Like Chicago I'm hard, but not to say I'm SURRY I shave my whole body, so I'm not that FURRY Don't bother with your hubby the DUDDY You can go home with your brand new BUDDY I can make your pretty kitty really PURRY I don't mind if you're cramping or BLOODY (oh no, he went there) We'll work up some hunger in a HURRY And then go for some chicken at YUMMY OHHHH

A surprising treat for late night meal! I came here with a few friends around 11:30 pm on a whim. There was no line when we arrived, and after a few minutes, our orders were taken. We were told food would be ready in 10 minutes. It really seemed like they made everything fresh to order, and we got our food in less than 10 min. Their menu is simple, offering a sandwich, a wrap, tenders, or small bites which includes a tender & buttered toast or loaded fries. The small bites are perfect if you're looking to satiate your cravings without eating a full meal. I ordered the Hot Toast, which is the tender and buttered toast. The tender was a decent size and covered in spices. The smell and flavor had some hints of curry in it, which everyone else agreed they tasted too. The flavor was nice, but the spiciness was a miss. I ordered "spicy" which is 5/8 on their spice chart, and I barely felt it. My friend ordered a spice level above and felt it was mild too despite the worker warning us it would be spicy. The truck is located in an empty lot in the heart of Westheimer in Montrose. A bit sketchy at night, but the area around the truck is well lit. However, I wouldn't stick around if alone. Overall, I recommend this spot for tasty hot chicken with good value and variety of options.

I mean it was a solid chicken sandwich. It's not bad or great about this place. It's a food truck, with quick service and friendly staff. You order your sandwich with the heat levelevel, get your food and enjoy. The sandwich didn't wow me but as I said it wasn't anything wrong. The fries were good but overall the food was solid. I think this place ccould benefit from more seasoning but that's a personal preference. I will say go try for yourself.

very delicious chicken sandwich. good ratios of sauce pickles and cole slaw on it. chicken is extremely crispy. flavorful seasoning on fries

It is a Kraft Mac and cheese disaster. There were 4 fries in it and I paid for extra chicken. It seems like boxed Mac and cheese and the cheese is very runny. Do not recommend.

Just amazing!! You should must definitely go here. They specialize in Syrian hot chicken. It's just like the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, but with a spice twist. Very satisfying and I will be back!! Pro tip: check it out during the outdoor market (usually on Saturdays if I'm not mistaken). They also have picnic tables if you wanted to hang with friends and enjoy a good meal

Syrian Hot Chicken Sandwich

Been on a hot chicken sandwich binge lately and had to check out Yummy's Bite after reading so many reviews. I ordered through DoorDash and got a Syrian hot chicken sandwich (mild), normal fries, and yummy sauce. The chicken had a really nice and crunchy breading that didn't fall apart yet wasn't dry at all! The yummy sauce is totally unique. It a little sweet but also spicy! The sweetness reminded me of honey mustard. Sauce really sets this place apart from competitors! The mild spice is like their medium and oh boy it was a definitely a little too spicy for me! I'll get the mellow next time! The fries were decent albeit a little soggy from the styrofoam packaging. Portions were definitely huge! However on DoorDash the sandwich and fries are $2-3 more than what they sell if you buy directly from them. It was kind of expensive compared to competitors. I'd definitely visit here! I really want to try their burger next!

I stumbled upon Yummy's Bite and I'm so happy I did! Yummy's is a Syrian hot chicken sandwich food truck located in the food park off of Westheimer and Chimney Rock. I stopped by for dinner on a weekday. I originally came for Twisted Grilled Cheese but when I saw Yummy's, I couldn't say no to the combo. Like a lot of hot chicken spots, the menu isn't extensive. You have your chicken sandwich, the star of the show, tenders, fries, and that usually does it. You also choose your spice level. I went with the sandwich at the second spice level which ended up being pretty spicy. Definitely felt the burn in my mouth. I can handle white boy spicy but not real spicy so take that into account when reading my review. This is a very, very solid hot chicken sandwich y'all. The chicken was flavorful, thicc (can't help it), and complimented well by the sauce and coleslaw. I will say that one downside is that rather than having a plump chicken breast, you actually have tenders in your sandwich. As a result, pieces of chicken will likely fall out of your sandwich as you demolish it. Also, the bread mentioned on the menu isn't what I actually ended up getting. Not a big deal as the bread was good but this is something they should let customers know.

My partner wanted to grab lunch here so we tried for the first time this place. We got a simple sandwich and elote which the staff said it should take 15-20 mins. We waited and waited it past 40+ mins and I went to ask. - First was that they lost our order number and they couldn't find it. - Second the manager began to say our order was taken by someone else and then that my partner grabbed it. Switching her words back and forth and not believing what we had said. I asked how did we grab our stuff if I still have the device to notify when our food is ready. - Third she completely stopped talking to us and went to go help at other customers. I told her we want our money back and she said, "well I'm not going to refund for the drinks you had". Ma'am, that's not how you run a business. Just admit you messed up and take ownership of your mistakes to help a customer out. - Fourth she mentioned that other tickets have been lost today and other foods have been stolen before. This just shows how disorganized this placed is. We were able to ask for our money back but it was a battle about it. I was disappointed because we wanted to support your business but at this service? Heck no! Do not come here. And from reading other reviews now we did not miss on the food.

He was very attentive and made sure orders were moving and getting out to customers. When I followed up on my order (about 20+ minutes in), he let me know there were about 9-10 subs ahead of mine due to a lot of online orders. Once I got my food, I thanked him and let him know next time I'll definitely be ordering online. If you're planning to grab lunch and not dine in, I highly recommend ordering ahead to save time. Now, the food... the sub was 10/10 amazing. I got the Jamaican Red Buffalo Chicken. Highly recommend. The only thing I want to point out is there was a guy working with bell peppers who came to the front line and started handling food for customers. He had on gloves and headphones, but when a customer asked him a question, he used his gloved hand to move his headphones, then went right back to handling food without changing gloves. Other than that, I'll definitely be back!!!!

A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.

This is the one and only location here and a great stop for all kinds of sandwiches. Their menu includes innovative offerings and iconic flavors, essentially the best of both worlds. If you're craving a classic or simple sandwich, you can get that. However, if you're looking for something special or out of this world, you can also get it. Ike's specializes in sandwiches with their Dutch Crunch bread and Dirty Sauce, both unique in its own way. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, vegan, or on a gluten-free diet, their menu has it all. I personally am not a super fan of the Dutch Crunch bread since I find it a bit too harsh on the palate and somewhat dry, but love the Dirty Sauce (make it extra or on the side). I enjoy subbing the Dutch Crunch with either French or Sourdough. With over 300 unique sandwiches on the menu, there's a sandwich for everyone. My favorites have been the Menage A Trois (halal chicken, honey mustard, BBQ Sauce, real honey, pepper jack, swiss, cheddar), Ike's Reuben (pastrami, mack Sauce, purple slaw, gouda), Joker (all beef meatballs, fried zucchini, Ike's red pesto, ranch), and Grant Pinkerton, a Houston exclusive (Pinkerton Brisket, pastrami, BBQ aioli, provolone). All of my sandwiches have been stuffed and tasty, worth it! However, I find some menu items to be subpar in quality and flavor (chicken strips). The service is typically quick, efficient, and friendly. There are more than a handful of tables inside and some out on the patio.
