Prices are comparable to most other places, but this one stood out due to the positive experiences and images left by others. The man working the restaurant was friendly and offered some extra goods for us to try while we were dining. The meat and the hummus were flavorful and delicious. Oh my Blessed taste buds. This is some of the ABSOLUTE BEST Greek food. There are also burgers for those less adventurous. Sadly this review is two weeks after we ate there. Fabulous FALAFEL. The lightest, best flavored my mouth has ever enjoyed. (It's watering at the memory) The gyro meat is mixed lamb/beef and perfectly spiced cooked on the rotisserie so you get all the lovely crusty bits with each bite. Ummm. George had made this Out of this World Lamb in Honey with Garlic which he served w rice, salad, veg, hummus, tzatziki & pita; so tender and flavorful. My hubby gave me a bite, I wanted to steal his dinner. We also got dolmas, I adore those lottle rolls of stuffed grape leaves soaked in spiced olive oil and these were spot on. Just enough tooth bite to not be soggy and the hint of lemon and mint was a perfect balance. Hmm. Might be a trip for dinner tonight. The restaurant is on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights. I came to pick up my order and there were a lot of scary men loitering and acting chaotically right in front of the entrance. I'm not sure why they're not asked to leave, the store is right next to a smoke shop so maybe that's why, but I waited in my car for about 15 minutes until they left, and then rushed into the store out of fear of being harassed. If you're a woman I would suggest coming with other people when picking up your order if you really want to eat here When I finally got into the shop the service was terrible (and the store was completely empty), I walked in and went right up to the clerk and the guy completely ignored me and watched TikToks on his phone for a couple of minutes (with me standing about a foot away lol), until I walked to the other side to another employee and asked about my order. They then said that they never got notified about my online order (which isn't their fault I guess), but they were able to put together my order anyways The food was awful, it was super dry and flavorless and I honestly don't understand the positive reviews I've seen. They also have the worst baklava I've ever tried, it was extremely brittle and stale tasting, instead of soft, sweet, and flaky like literally every other type of baklava I've tried before. I was at Felipe's the other day and spotted this place. Husband and I tried it last night and I'm so glad we did! He had a gyro wrap with beef and I had a chicken and shrimp kebab plate. It was all so good. Generous sides of hummus and tzaziki, a tasty Greek salad, rice, pita bread, and, most importantly, juicy chicken and perfectly grilled shrimp. My wife and I stumbled across this place a couple weeks ago and are glad we did. Owner Manny is a one man band who takes orders, preps food, cooks it, serves it and then busses tables. Then he finds time to chat with us and tell his story. We really enjoy supporting people with tons of ambition and passion in what they do. Manny nailed our order on the chicken gyro combo plate. He spends 3 days making the cucumber yogurt sauce which was delicious and the binder for all parts of the meal. There were too many items on the menu for us to try. So here comes Manny to our table with a sample of a meat dish and then with complimentary baklava for dessert.
