She is very passionate about the menu and is very attentive to everyone. Thankfully, as our food was served she was there to explain that the best way to experience the chef's creation is to eat it as it presented (without soy sauce) first. She went on to explain that each dish is created with specific textures and flavors in mind to create an intentional balanced bite. She is absolutely correct and I am so glad we listened. In fact, after trying the "second" bite with soy sauce, we recognized that it was much better without it. The soy sauce is homemade and delicious but the sushi is so perfectly executed, it really does not need anything at all to shine. This is not your average sushi joint. The food and service will blow you away. Get the Princess Peach Roll if it's available. The Tiger Roll and the Flame Touch were also fantastic. Hint: the tiger roll comes with lemon slices on top - do not remove the lemon. Trust me.

The menu is primarily sushi, and I gravitated towards some of their unique speciality rolls, like the heaven roll with tempura banana and shrimp (which worked surprisingly well), and the flame touch roll with steak. The chicken katsu was delicious too! My husband loves Dragon Ball, so we loved seeing the references on the menu. Very attentive service from our waitress and the owner. It's obviously quite popular, partly because there are not many other restaurants in the vicinity. I guess because it was quite busy and maybe because we were out on the patio, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our orders to arrive which is longer than we've come to expect at Asian restaurants. When the food arrived it was very tasty and ample. We both ordered from the lunch menu and the bill was quite reasonable.

Each person gets a menu to fill out in the beginning, and when you've made good progress on your first round of food, the waiter comes by with your second paper. I loved the sweet potato tempura, but looking back, I should have only ordered 3 servings because god that was filling. I barely managed to finish everything that I ordered. The seaweed salad lived up to everyone's hype on here, so I'm glad I got to try it. As for the sushi, I liked the Samurai Roll, but thought the Dragon Roll was 85% cucumber and 15% eel inside--not as satisfying. The salmon and mackerel sashimi were decent though. And the tamagoyaki (egg) was a little too sweet for my liking... I should make it myself at home soon. Since we went on the weekend, each person had a base cost of $30, but I feel like what I ate was worth more than that. Big W. Come here if you want to eat a lot!

I got the filet mignon and chicken hibachi with fried rice, noodles, vegetables and shrimp, plus the teriyaki steak appetizer. I also swapped the salad for a second clear soup because the soup is THAT good. The filet is unbelievable. Extremely tender, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best steak I've had at a hibachi restaurant. The chicken and shrimp were excellent, the fried rice and noodles were fantastic, and even the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The teriyaki steak appetizer is also absolutely worth getting. I've genuinely yet to have a single thing here that wasn't excellent. Portions are huge, the presentation is great, and the service has been ridiculously fast. My first visit I had two soups, an appetizer, and my entire entrée and was paying the bill within about 30-40 minutes. It was basically the perfect sit-down lunch: much better food than grabbing fast food, without turning lunch into a two-hour event. The restaurant itself has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere, and they also have the traditional hibachi tables if you want the full tableside experience. Came back again only 10 days after my first visit and ordered the exact same meal. That probably says more than anything else I could write. Easy 5/5. This place deserves way more attention.

It was indeed a pleasure - and surprise - to see a container of FREE tempura kani in my takeout bag, alongside the sushi and fried rice that I ordered. The sushi deluxe was fantastic and included a California roll plus eight pieces chosen by the chef; I lucked out with tuna and salmon, plus a few pieces of mystery white fish that were quite tasty as well. The side order of chicken fried rice made me wonder how big the regular portion is, because I could only eat half. The chicken was well cooked and glazed with a lightly sweet sauce. Also in my bag was a container of clear miso and a small salad, plus a few sauces and a fortune cookie. Ordering was easy and straightforward and it was ready to go when promised, with friendly service. Fancy Sushi is definitely on my list of local faves now, and next time, I'll bring a friend and try the dine-in experience.
