The server was very kind, asked if we had questions and checked in frequently. She was very hospitable and friendly. We put in orders for the sushi and a couple apps. Food took a little while to get out, but it was fresh when we got it. Every was home made, and it was mostly successful in execution. The crab Rangoons were savory but the wonton outside was soggy and there was absolutely no crab in it . The pork potstickers had a custom pork mixture in a very thin wonton wrapper. It was crispy and the filling was seasoned well. Great with the soy sauce dipping sauce. The sushi was a little fishy, which was unexpected. But the flavor was still good so it was just only a little off. The rice was seasoned and the sushi was very thick cut. The flaking dragon roll had some spice to it, but not spicy. The fallen angel roll was an interesting combo of seaweed salad and basalmic vinegar. It was sweet but tangy with a little bit of fish funk. Not bad, but just a little too disjointed. It was a fine lunch, little pricy but the portions were pretty large. It's a good option for sushi but not a go-to spot for me. read more

We went to the brand new Golden Mango for sushi tonight. They have just been open for two months, so far. Golden Mango is the sister restaurant of Sweet Mango, located In Southington. They are family run and operated. Mandy was our waitress, her two brothers work in the kitchen. Since it was such a nice day, we sat outside on their patio. We got the sushi Boat. Mandy came to check on us frequently, she told us, it would take a while for the boat to be ready. She offered us appetizers while we waited. I got the Bloody Mary and we got the seaweed salad to share. The Bloody Mary tasted pretty artificial, but that's ok, if I had to have a disappointment, I'd rather it be the drink than the sushi. Once our boat came out, it was FILLED with the freshest and tastiest, most flavorful sushi, and sashimi. We knew this wait would deliver. There was so much, we struggled to finish. Mandy was so sweet, when we were done, she told us to wait, she had a surprise for me. She brought out a fried banana cake, complete with sprinkles and a birthday message, on the house! She even sang Happy Birthday to me! Golden Mango has the kindest people working there, and the freshest, most delicious sushi! There's no doubt I'll be back! read more

I got the spicy eggplant - and am craving to order it again I'm gluten free and they let me know they have gluten free soy sauce and can make MANY of their dishes gluten free upon request! This was a first in this area for me most places look at me like I'm crazy if I ask about gluten free soy sauce.... Everyone in my group raved about what they ordered from Pho to Hibachi to Pad Thai to Stir Fry. Went there for the first time this past Saturday. What an amazing hidden gem! The selection is unbelievable and the food was outstanding. There were five of us dining together, everyone had a different dish and everyone was more than satisfied. The portions are plentiful, three of us left with enough for a lunch the next day. Even though the place was very busy, the staff was very attentive without being overbearing. The place is clean and inviting, not fancy, just comfortable. It was also apparent that they do a big takeout business and we will be sure to take advantage of that!
