As the name suggests, Yummy Dog specializes in gourmet hot dogs with not only extra topping materials but also different sausages and breads. My choice was the Munich ($6), a German hot dog in a pretzel bun topped with spicy mayo and grilled onion. Everything was made on the spot, so the food was delivered to my mouth piping hot! I intended this to be a pre-dinner snack, but I was wrong because it actually filled me up. I did not regret missing dinner because I ate this delicious, juicy hot dog augmented with the spiciness of the mayo sauce and the grilled onion! Maybe my standards are too high for food truck dogs from going to Biker Jim's in Denver, but I wasn't impressed with Yummy Dog. Currywurst was flavorless and fries tasted like the Ore Ida fries you can buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Not a good value for the price. There are better food trucks around, or just order something from Karbach if you're there. read more

We tried Yummy Dog last week because it was the host food truck at Town In City. The smell was very enticing but once I tried it, I decided it's not for me. To be fair, the food looks enticing but something didn't quite hit it there for me you know? For our order, we shared an order of the Currywurst (fries topped with goodies) the Samurai dog and one Smoky (chicken and turkey w/onions and mustard) dog. The currywurst was good and it was served hot, but it was just ok to me. The bf LOVED everything we had, but then again he's a lover of all things meat. My order, the Smoky dog was good and I left half of it because I was full on the fries. The one that stood out to me was the Samurai! It's a chicken and turkey dog, with seaweed salad and those great crunchy onions. I was jealous that I wasn't the one who ordered it lol The people who run the truck were really nice and even brought our food to where we were sitting inside, so service is good. If it were my bf writing this review, he would rate 5 stars but to me, I'm being honest, it was ok. The food was good but not real memorable. If I were to go find Yummy Dog when they're at other locations it would probably be to try the Samurai dog again but that's pretty much it. Solid 3 stars. read more

Unbelievably slow for a food truck. A hotdog with kraut and 2 orders of fries should not take 30+ minutes. One of their primary dishes is chili fries, want to guess what they were out of??? It is a shame that they treat their customers so poorly. read more

Tried Yummy dog for the first time and it was pretty good. Asked for the dog that would fill me up the most. And the guy recommended the Chicago dog and sure enough dog was packed with vegetables. Sausage was pretty toasty and moist. Also ordered the smothered fries topped with chilli and cheese. Everything was pretty good and portions were large. I wish there were more options of sauces. I wanted a hot sauce to add to my dog and fries but unfortunately they didn't have any. Either way I would recommended and will like to try the other dogs in the menu. Tried to order a hot dog for my daughter with the toppings just on half because she's two and she obviously would not eat a whole $10 hotdog. My husband would be more than happy to eat the other half.the guy told me he could make a kids dog for me but still charged me full price, 9.50 for just a plain hot dog with no toppings. Yummy Dog's food truck was at Back Pew Brewery today. My BF was starving and went to the window to get a dog. Apparently they were about to close and the guy told him he had 15 seconds to get his order in. Once he ordered, the staff asked him if he spoke Spanish. He said no and they proceeded to laugh and started speaking exclusively in Spanish. Reminded me of the nail salon vibe where you know people are talking about you in another language they know you don't speak. It was flat out rude. Don't care what nationality you are; if you can speak English and are catering to a person that speaks only English, it is just common courtesy. He said he felt that people just don't care anymore. It was that bad. The chili on the dog was also lacking and he said that the dog and chips cost $12. Bottom line, rude servers ruined the experience. I think if the people in the truck had just been cool, he wouldn't have said much about the $$ or the chili. read more

I tried ordering Yummy dog's at the Food Truck Yard, which is a great spot in EADO that recently opened... the Food Truck Yard is the great spot, but, yummy dogs is far from being great. We watched them serve hotdogs to plenty of peeps.. we finally decided to order a dog only for the guy running the cart to turn us away rudely. Tried to order here at Truck Yard around 5:30pm and the guy rudely told me they were closed. Didn't offer an explanation...just shot me down...at prime dinner time too! They really should've at least closed their windows and taken their menu down instead of misleading potential customers on the 2nd day of an outdoor food truck venue's grand opening. Like the other reviewer said, it is a sausage in a pretzel hot dog bun. That being said it was very good. I brought 3 for dinner that night and breakfast and dinner the next day. I had the Polish ( strong flavor) and I liked the kielbasa alot. The Munich (lighter flavor, my moms) was not as strong as the polish. The Texan and Chicago were spicy. The name says it all. I had one yummy dog! I sampled this food truck during it's visit to the 11 Below Brewery. The dogs were fantastic. The pretzel bun really added to the experience, as it was substantial enough to hold in the copious amount of slaw on my smoked chicken and turkey dog. There is plenty of variety to choose from and the prices are right on par with other food truck prices. The dog was definitely made fresh and not just grabbed off a roller.
