What an unbelievable place! I have never seen anything even close to this in my entire life. Aisle after aisle of every imaginable candy and so much more! Fair prices, variety galore, outstanding taffy, and a real throwback to the good old candy days! Haven't seen some of these candies since my childhood decades ago... Did not even know they still existed! It was not just a candy shopping experience, it was like a candy museum! Everyone must stop in if you're in the area, and if you're not, you need to get there!

If you are looking for it- they have it. Always a must do stop on the way out of Maine. Everything from trinkets, souvenirs nuts to chocolate to fudge. If you remember it from you youth... it's here. Friendly help and great selection.. decent prices.

Look at those shelves!

I stopped in just to see what they had. It turned out they have a great variety of candy. I ended up buying way more than I planned. They have a lot of childhood candies for the 80's kids. This is totally worth the stop.

Look at this. I told you the size is amazing.

OMG I cannot stress enough to stop at this candy store. You will feel as if your thigh is gaining weight as you walk around and fill your basket. This place took me back to my childhood. Every single candy you purchased as a child this store has it. I'm just so glad this store is not in my hometown.. My doctor thanks you Yummies for being in Kittery, ME. LOL WARNING!!!! If you have kids don't take them inside. This is your one and only warning. There is no sign on the door warning you to leave the kids in the car. Those kids will not want to leave and they will fall out on the floor when you say lets go. LOL I don't have kids but try it and see what happens to you. You will remember this review and think why the HXLL did I bring them inside. LOL I tried not to look but they have a website and you can order online. I might for a special treat but I'm going to try to erase them from my mind. My memory is not that great so maybe I'll remove the labels off the bags. LOL My final advice to you is just GO and enjoy your treats.

My favorite kind of licorice

Always a must stop on our way through Maine whether we're coming in from Connecticut or heading back home from connecticut. They have my all-time favorite licorice which is strawberry licorice laces. We love their sea salt milk chocolate carmels. New item thst are absolutely amazing ate the peanut butter & Fluff cups. HOLY MOLY SO GOOD! Wish there were at least 4 in the box. There's only 3. Anything you can think of for candy they have.

Candy galore!

Wall to wall, ceiling to floor packed with candy! I'd never seen so much candy in one place before! Delicious candies in their candy case and I loved their chocolate covered blueberries and gummy lobsters too!!!

So much candy. And it's surprisingly fresh kind owner that helps you pick out your candy. When they say 10,000 pounds of candy they mean it. And there's so many things to look at in the store. Nice atmosphere. This is the best candy store I've ever seen in my life.

Gotta go 5 stars on this candy/nuts shop. Huge variety of candy and nuts. Prices were better than I expected. Place was super clean and organized. Customer service was friendly and on point as well. Will absolutely return when in the area.

Yogurt covered peanuts!!

My boyfriend and I love to go to Portsmouth from Boston every year to shop for unusual Christmas…read moregifts that you might not find everywhere else. Unfortunately, we both works nights and therefore aren't very good at getting there early and most of the stores close at six. We don't always get to look at all of the shops outside the main area before our shopping comes to an abrupt end. This Sunday, long after most shops closed, we came upon a warm and inviting Pickwick's. The sign on the door said they closed at 6 and it was at least 7, so I stood an gazed longingly into the shop door wishing I had seen the shop earlier - it looks like Christmas magic inside. The next thing I knew, the friendly and festively dressed shop ladies were inviting us in, saying they still had lots of work to do before they could leave, so we were welcome to have a browse! They even offered to gift wrap some little things we picked out and one of the ladies helped me to hide a gift I was buying for my boyfriend while he wasn't looking! Great little shop with so many fun things, but I was really inspired to write this because I was really impressed at the level of customer service and the "going beyond the call of duty". Very special thing in a world where most people don't care to go the extra mile anymore. The whole experience sent us home with some real Christmas spirit! Give those ladies a raise! :)

Loved this shop! They have a bit of everything that's fun and interesting. The staff (dressed in…read moreperiod costumes) helpful are super friendly.

My Mom & I went to have lunch @ Warren's & they automatically give you a treasure chest "key."…read moreWhich is actually a plastic card. You have to go outside Warren's to get into this cute little gift shop. Right when I walked in I saw the cutest kitchen towels on a rack to my right that caught my attention. They also had some adorable pot holders. I was surprised at how reasonable their prices are. I picked up a cat pot holder & kitchen towel with cat faces all over it. There were a few I was torn between so it was a little hard to make a decision on which one to get. They have a bunch of souvenirs here too. Saw some Maine magnets & Warren's beer glasses & shot glasses. I like to collect shot glasses of places I go & the beer ones too but I ended up just getting a shot glass. As I continued on I ran into these super cute lobster sleep pants! I was in need of some warm pants as I'm headed up to ME to go to my family's camps & forgot to grab some sweatpants from my home back in Vegas. They don't have a dressing room so before I bought the pants I asked if they didn't fit if I could return them & was told yes, with my receipt. I was surprised to find the shop went around the check out counter. Here I found a small area of discounted items & another counter with some candy around the area. It's a very small candy store nothing like the one on Route 1 Kittery Outlets. In this area I found the "treasure chest." I over heard a male customer asking the lady @ the counter...who I actually think was the owner, what you won if you got the treasure & she said money to spend in the store. There was a bunch of other nicknacks in this store too. I tried to take lots of photos. I will have to take pictures of my items I bought & post them later. This place is a must to come inside after eating @ Warren's to see if you have the winning "treasure key!" I also suggest if your around the area to stop in. It's worth your time!! The parking lot can be packed due to Warren's always seeming to be busy but don't let this keep you away! The lady who rang me up (who I mentioned earlier, I think is the owner) was very nice & answers all my questions.

Still a great place to come! Not as many samples, but they still offer the same great products…read more They have a new bread line out now which is nice. Over the summer I recently tried iced coffee at the cafe which was delicious. They had some different baked goods- we tried almond croissants one time which was yummy. We tried chocolate peanut butter cake too- yummy as well! Always love the garden area- it's always decorated so nicely. The displayed inside the store are fun to see as well. Always love seeing how it changes for the seasons. Can't wait to come back!

This place needs to be investigated by health inspectors. I'm not kidding…read more I was already familiar with this company's jams because they're sold in local stores back home in California, so when I happened to be in the area, I figured I'd stop by their café. What a mistake. I ordered the cream of broccoli soup, which arrived lukewarm and appeared to have been sitting out for quite some time. It had developed that thick, congealed film on the surface that cream based soups form as they cool. It didn't look fresh. I went back to the counter and politely asked for a fresh bowl since the soup wasn't remotely hot. The gentleman behind the counter gave me the impression that he was just going to reheat the same bowl, which wasn't what I had requested or paid for. Something about the interaction didn't sit right with me, so I decided to wait at the counter and watch. And, I am glad I did. While the male server was preparing my replacement soup, an older woman who worked there came over to him and asked what was wrong with the original bowl, apparently unaware that I was standing there watching. She inserted a thermometer into the soup, announced, "This isn't cold," and then proceeded to pour the soup I had already eaten from directly back into the communal soup crockpot. I was absolutely appalled. I had already taken 2 bites from that bowl. Once food has been served to a customer and partially consumed, it should NEVER be returned to a shared food container. Doing so creates an obvious risk of cross-contamination through saliva and other microorganisms that can be transferred from a person's mouth or utensils into the food. If a customer happens to be carrying a transmissible pathogen, this kind of practice could potentially expose unsuspecting customers to contamination. What made this even more disturbing was the number of elderly customers in the establishment. Older adults can be particularly vulnerable to foodborne illness and its complications. The thought that someone could unknowingly be served food contaminated by another customer's saliva is absolutely unacceptable. I approached the manager to explain what I had just witnessed, expecting at the very least some concern. Instead, his response was dismissive, and he seemed largely unbothered by what I was telling him. This wasn't a disappointing meal or poor customer service. What I witnessed raised serious questions about the staff's understanding of basic food safety, sanitation, and cross contamination prevention. I genuinely cannot understand how anyone working in food service could think returning a customer's partially eaten soup to a communal pot was acceptable, let alone do it so casually. I left completely disgusted, not only by what I witnessed but by the lack of concern from management. This establishment needs a thorough health inspection. I would strongly advise others to avoid eating here.
