I hadn't been to this store in nearly a decade. I wasn't purposely avoiding it though, it was just one of those things. When I did visit (2 days ago) I was wondering why I'd waited this long. I was looking to buy a couple of Bear Claws that a previous store I frequented were out of. When I asked here the guy at the counter said to hold on they were making fresh batch. "Awesome!" I thought and asked for 2 with 2 extra donuts to round out the sale and make for a delicious box of goodies. The delicatessens were still warm and soft (as they should be) after I arrived home. And they were a joy to eat as I shared the wealth with other members of my family. In the past I failed to recognize the greatness that is Yuma's Donuts. I shall not make the same mistake again as I look toward the future. With other donuts and actual meals to look forward to partaking in, I think I've found the cat's meow in the case of donut shops!

Surprisingly large selection of donuts. Everything looked delicious. Got chocolate long John, chocolate frosted with puffy cereal and an Apple fritter. Donuts were pillowy and delicious. Apple fritter had crispy outside with light dough inside. Really good and not greasy and perfect glaze. . Would definitely return. Friendly service. Also they sell food but didn't have time to check it out.

I know I've been all about exploring great places lately and there are no shortage of 5-star reviews from me... they're a dime a dozen these days. But I've only been checking out places at the top of my to-go-to list-- the places that are exceptionally raved about! And this little diner definitely deserves the hype! The location is conveniently close to downtown. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is clearly an oldie but still a goodie- it was packed with different things to buy but still quite charming, in an old school diner kinda way. There is so much food to choose from and I didn't know where to start. So I got an assortment of things, all of which were delicious. The breakfast burrito was huge and paired with the salsa served alongside it was one of the best I have ever eaten. The yeast donut (we tried strawberry sprinkle) was decidedly better than the old fashioned cake style donuts we got (glazed and chocolate covered), but all 3 were still good. The yeast donut was just oh so fluffy and light and fresh... I'll definitely be getting that kind again! The employees that I interacted with were both very nice, especially the lady that refused to let me help clean up the coffee my son spilled everywhere in the restaurant despite my insistence. She was super cool about it and quick to accept my multiple apologies. Happy to have found this little spot!

We looked around the main building at all of the cool artistic touches and even a few private spaces. People were reading books, talking, using laptops, relaxing, etc. We took our drinks and found a nice spot under a gazebo in their expansive outdoor garden area. We chatted for the better part of an hour. No rush. Fantastic space which filled up rather quickly on a Monday morning. Plenty of people taking advantage of the amazing seating areas in the outdoor space. We will definitely be back. Already looking forward to it. Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here? One maintenance issue... the latch on the ladies handicap stall door is STILL needing to be fixed! One issue with our visit. Not once were we offered refills on beverages.
