What a gem in the city! I would've never found this place if I hadn't actively searched it out after finding on Yelp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the outside it's obscure but when you walk in it's charming and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All I wanted was something refreshing to drink so stopped in and also ordered the chicken bowl. Food was good and the smell was delightful. I really like mint mojitos but because it was noon I wasn't about to be a midday lush, and went with the mint lemonade, which hit the spot. Highly recommend the cute vibes from this place

I ordered the crispy wonton nachos ($16), teriyaki chicken rice box ($9), and apple mint lemonade ($7.50). The nachos came with your choice of ground beef or spicy salmon (I opted for salmon), crispy wontons, green onions, avocado, jalapenos, and tomatoes. Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed by this dish. It was just okay. The tomatoes didn't taste super fresh and were a bit soft, and I thought the spicy salmon was lacking in flavor and not the freshest fish. However, I did enjoy the apple mint lemonade and teriyaki chicken rice box. The lemonade was ice-blended, sweet, and really refreshing, especially with the strong presence of mint. The teriyaki chicken was juicy and tasty, and the sauce was great with the steamed white rice. The rice box is also a good amount of food for the price (less than 10 bucks). The staff was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is casual and has some unique decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order and pay at the counter, and bus your own table. Note - According to the menu, my food cost $32.50, but on my receipt, the base price of the food was listed as $36-something. I'm not sure if the base price included taxes and/or some mysterious surcharges.

order at the counter, they'll call your number. We had tofu udon, shrimp rolls, beef dynamite, chicken plate, salad. it was all fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is funky. lots of plants. murals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tte restaurant is a block or 2 from skid row,

I haven't updated my review for this place for a few years, so I think it's time, because they have survived the pandemic and stood the test of time (I still miss their Soup Bar though) that others have not, and that's because of the delicious food, [[HIGHLIGHT]]great locations (they pack a lot of personality and ambiance in places that are smaller than they appear)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service is always impeccable and pleasant, and they are very efficient despite how busy they actually get. If you've never been to the Yuko Kitchen, then you really should get in here and see what it's all about.

I had to grab a bite at Yuko's before going to see a concert! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I walked inside, I was in awe of how many plants there were and how creative the inside was. It almost felt like I was in a greenhouse![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Spicy Salmon Rice Bowl and it was so delicious. I loved the zing from the salad and it tasted so fresh. I ordered a matcha strawberry cookie as well. Yuko's has a great baked goods selection along with their expansive menu. The customer service was welcoming and it had a great vibe throughout. I will most definitely be stopping by again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Yuko Kitchen DTLA is that kind of place that just feels good the moment you walk in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They've done something really special creating such a peaceful vibe in a neighborhood that is anything but.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the plants surrounding you don't hurt either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went with the Amazing Curry Rice Bowl with Tofu, which was exactly as good as it looks, and trust me it looks great. So much flavor. I also tried their homemade hot sauce and even though the bowl was already working perfectly on its own, it was a nice little bonus. One of my new favorites in downtown LA.

I landed here cause me and my girlfriends had a mini LA day and needed a place that offerred Vegan options. Wow but not only was the food INSANELY GOOD. I ordered a Garlic Shrimp Bowl and the quality was BAR NONE PHENOMENAL. I'm not kidding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is very quirky and nature driven, perfect for IG pictures but more than that, it gives u the sensation of sharing a lot of nature in the middle of downtown LA without even going far.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is spectacular, the staff is so friendly and their menu options are SOOOO inclusive. You have a lot of options for every foodie and for very affordable prices. There is even a parking lot next to this downtown location and plenty of meters outside. Im DEF going back soon

Chinese Chicken Salad, Chicken Plate, Tempura White Fish Bow-lito
    Monica T.

The portions here are massive and the food is really good! I got the chicken plate, which comes with a small dessert (cookie sampler, loved the two green ones, chocolate chip was a bit too sweet for me but my friend liked it) and a shot-sized soup of your choice (vegetable miso or curry). The chicken was a little firm for my liking, but overall the flavor was excellent. Also tried the Chinese chicken salad, big portions, tasty dressing, and lean chicken. The Tempura Fish Bowl-ito was also fantastic, especially with the spicy mayo. Everything was served by friendly staff, and the interior is super cute, with a green, nature-inspired vibe, perfect for pics or catching up with friends. Parking is tricky (metered only), and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy since it's downtown LA, but overall a great spot for a hearty meal!

We got the teriyaki & salmon deluxe bowl. The food was amazing!! I will be coming back yum

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is aesthetic af, with plentiful greenery and options for Asian bowls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setup is fast casual and likely caters more towards corporate workers getting lunch downtown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That being said, the food is very plentiful as you get huge portions and the quality of the food is also pretty good for a corporate lunch spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would also say this is a pretty good spot to just chill overall and bring a laptop to work/study.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Steph J.

I absolutely love this place! One of my favorite places to visit while i'm in downtown. it has amazing seating, fantastic food, and the employees are very kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has such a relaxing atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and it's nearby some other cool places!

    Jason M.

Overall great aesthetic feel, great staff and great food. I will be back and will be bringing my family. The staff honestly is great here, they make you want to come back because of how friendly they are.

Freshly made udon. Nothing goes better than this…read more My second time here. And this time we tried the duck udon and sea urchins udon. Both are excellent. The sea urchins one is creamy and VERY RICH. The cream sauce bend in really well with the sea urchins. But definitely not something you would order if you are on a weaker stomach. The duck udon is flavorful with plenty of meat. The soup pair perfectly with the udon as well. There was a line outside before it opened. But not too bad. They got a little eating area outside right next to the street and I saw people ate there with their dog as well. I guess that they are "kinda" dog friendly?

Udon noodles were good, but it was not excellent. It did have light chewy texture. BUT in comparison to Meiji Seimen, it fell short, really short! I was disappointed. BEEF BOWL It was delicious! Beef was tender and moist and loved the caramelized onion too. Rice was delicious too, not dry nor mushy. Served with pickled red ginger. A very satisfying bowl. Sat at the bar, so watched them make udon from scratch, which was nice. WAIT LIST There was a line when I got there, just as it opened. It wasn't long, but everyone wrote their name down on a wait list. There's a sheet of paper placed on the table outside. Please write your name down ASAP, as that will help in making sure that you will grab a seat. Also, the lines are disorganized too, so it's best to write down your name, so no one cuts in front of you. It is a small restaurant. Limited seats. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Everyone got in the restaurant in the order they came in. Service was quick and there were no delays in taking orders. The server came by quickly and dropped off the check as she saw that I was nearly finished with my meal. PARKING Parked at Joe's Autoparks. It was $15! I did not know until after I paid the ticket. Very difficult to find parking in this area, so not many options unless you want to walk really far, back to your car in 90 degree heat. There was another parking garage next to Joe's, but the price was the same! Would I come back again? Not sure. Given that the udon wasn't what I expected, it may be my last time here. Also, parking sucks.

The vibe is awesome inside; there's lofi playing at a nice level and the lighting is beautiful. It feels like an elevated experience right when you walk in. We didn't wait long as it was a Sunday afternoon, and our waitress was so helpful in deciding what to order (the menu is extensive!). We got the baked scallop roll, the crunch spider roll, and the Baja California roll. All three were amazing!!!! We also got spicy tuna crispy rice and the gyoza to start. I am not joking when I say they were the best restaurant gyoza I've had in Los Angeles. Juicy, warm, nice golden crisp on the bottom, and flavorful filling. The baked scallop roll was my personal favorite of the three; it was warm and savory, with an excellent bite from the juicy scallops. It was a great contrast to the Baja roll, which is cold and has crunchy elements to it. And the spider roll was one I didn't expect to like (my boyfriend wanted it), but ended up being my second favorite! The soft shell crab flavor is deliciously salty and pairs great with the surrounding flavors. I'll definitely be back for more!

I saw that they added some type of sauce and once it was placed in front of me, I politely asked if this roll contained any soy sauce, which I am allergic to since I have celiac disease. It was confirmed that this role had soy sauce, so I refused the roll, and at first the manager/supervisor was able to rearrange my order to regular 6 hand rolls. The ankimo that wasn't touched by me I asked her if I should give to my peers instead of throwing the handroll in the trash. She said yes. After my 5th roll they asked if we want to order anything else. I said I am still missing one roll. And she said you had 5 and the ankimo. I said I didn't eat the ankimo. And she said your friends did .... So she charged me the extra one that was going to the trash because I didn't want to waste food ... Throughout our conversation, it was not confirmed that the handroll I gave to my friend was supposed to be a part of the six hand rolls upgrade that the manager had offered me. It would've been best if she gave me some clarification so that I was not kept waiting for an extra handroll that I was able to eat due to my medical condition.
