The Tuesday morning I had my wisdom teeth out, the surgery was around an hour/hour and a half around 10:00-11:30 AM. Dr. Nakamura even called after to check up on me to see how I was doing later in the afternoon, even though according to her website her office closed at 2PM. I also purchased extra Exparal through her during our consult, a numbing injectable that lasts a few days. She also made an appointment to inject the leftovers of Exparal again into my wisdom-teeth-area 3 days after the surgery to help with the pain even more. She definitely knows what she's doing. I had to get one wisdom tooth removed for a root canal and my experience with dr. Dr. Nakamura is fantastic. I am pretty dental-phobic due to the fact that I represent dentists in malpractice cases and have pretty much seen or heard of every kind of bad experience in a dental chair. I was recommended my first tooth extraction - a molar no less - by my dentist who offered to do it. Instead, I found Dr. Nakamura online and, I'm telling you, the extraction was absolutely painless - from the anesthetic injections to the procedure itself. I'm sure this won't be the case for everyone, but it is obvious she is a very skilled oral surgeon. I most appreciated the fact that she didn't try to "up-sell" me with unnecessary procedures. In fact, my dentist had recommended bone grafting (at significant added cost) to facilitate the placement of a future implant. Dr. Nakamura said no need. I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. Nakamura so far and so far I'm planning to have 1 more littler operation with her. I keep driving an hour to go to her location because I think her surgeries are the best quality I've ever experienced and I've had about 8 other oral surgeries with other doctors in the past. It seems that her staff, facilities and of course quality of work is the best so I just want to encourage people by letting them know if they need oral surgery that my review is with out any biases and I also want to thank her and her staff. I'm ooking forward to coming back here which is not something people usually say about oral surgery. 1 particular main example is that her sedation to put people to sleep is the best! I've been meaning to write a review for sometime. I went to Dr Nakamura for a coronectomy (partial removal of my wisdom tooth). Dr Nakamura is very professional and she immediately puts you at ease. She was very thorough in explaining everything to me and very patient. I had the coronectomy, and about 2 months later, when I went back to her for more issues, she took an x ray and discovered my tooth root had already moved away from the nerve. She was able to do another surgery to extract the tooth at no extra cost (it was already included in the coronectomy fees) which I really appreciated. Furthermore she did it on the day itself and I didn't have to wait for another appointment. Since then, I have had no issues and another dental exam showed that everything healed well. I brought my 85 year old mother to Dr. Nakamura to have a tooth extracted. The office staff member was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. Needless to say, my mother was very anxious about this procedure. However, from the moment she set foot in the office, my mother felt at ease.
