The BF and I came here on a weekend for a haircut. The men's haircuts are like $18 or so? Less than $20 in any case. This didn't include a shampoo, but a spritz of water. The old-school feel lends itself from the exterior to the interior with its rows of chairs. There are a couple of guys who sit around and wait for patrons to drop in. The owner, who I presume was Yuki, was busy with another client doing an excellent job of trimming with an electric shaver. BF and I liked the cut! Perfect cut and color, she actually gave me what I asked for, unlike other places I had been to, that did what they wanted. In a small parking lot, that has an old supermarket that has been closed forever, don't let that fool you. She and staff are the best! read more

Yuki was amazing! So glad I found this place. I showed her a picture and she did exactly that. A lot of stylists don't do dramatic a-lines well on curlier hair (imo, because it's been so hard to find someone who doesn't cut too much length off) but she knew exactly what to do. Super happy. The price was extremely reasonable. I'll be back, probably for color too next time. Great haircut for my extra sensitive four year old son. I dread cutting my son's hair at home, which I've done since he was young due to the pandemic. Now that we have a newborn son, I'm way too exhausted to keep at it myself and decided to find a local kid friendly barber. I found Yuki after having a poor experience that day at another barber and walked out. Yuki had a nice big TV with Spider-Man YouTube videos which immediately got my sons full attention, and extra lollipop bribe. A couple initial tears, but after he realized he was in safe hands be settled down and focused on the cartoon and let Yuki give him a quick and tidy hair cut. I was so relieved to find a place that knows exactly how to handle difficult kids like my son. Well keep coming back to get him more accustomed, hopefully making it easier on Yuki. I recommend this place. Yuki has such a patient style. My son said afterwards " I love her so much, she plays such nice shows for me." -- WOW. We'll be back soon! read more

It is obvious Yuki did not like the true negative reviews given by myself and a couple of other customers and so she had people post fake positive reviews. This was the best haircut I've had in years. She cut my hair perfectly and I received so many compliments on it. For a person with thin boring hair, it looks so full. The guy who cut my boyfriend's hair did an amazing job as well. I definitely would recommend. And the prices are super great too! read more

I have to say this probably is the worst haircut experience I have ever gotten since high school. I got a woman haircut from a young male hairdresser who seemed to be a trainee. Here are the things he had done: 1. He washed my hair with cold water. Even after I told him it was too cold, he still used the water to finish the wash. 2. I showed him a picture of the hair style I wanted. He said "okay", but totally did not follow the picture. For example, I wanted long bangs and short in the back. He gave me short bangs and long in the back. 3. He kept asking me if I wanted to color my hair throughout the haircut experience which was really annoying. After the second time he asked, I told him "thank you but no". But he kept going. There were some other minor issues, but I think they were not exceedingly bad so that I do not want to mention here. read more

My first experience at Yuki's was a month ago. She's really informative and talked through everything that she was doing. I took my daughter there to get her hair done. I have really bad hair from coloring too much. Yuki suggested I get a treatment and she'll blend the color I already have in my hair. Instead of blending it, I left my hair in her hands, and she chose a color that worked well with my skin tone. It was a color I always wanted to try but she showed me it was doable. She's gentle when washing my hair as well and careful with not getting water all over my face. I really enjoyed my first experience there and so did my daughter. We did just go again today for Yuki to touch up my daughter's hair color and style for prom. If there's a problem, she'll figure it out. Thanks Yuki. read more

First experience getting my lovely daughters hair done at a salon. This place was amazing and this was the moment I realized, like many fathers do that my daughter is growing up. The wonderful people gave us a friendly experience to facilitate everything, including a sweet, warm atmosphere. I dropped her off and returned periodically to check on her. This lead to thoughts of her getting a drivers license and all the dread and worry a dad experiences, but still. The hair style she wanted was made clearly nearly identical to the picture she found. I could tell Yuki the color wizard was passionate about her artistic interpretations and would definitely consider taking Anna there. I was a fan of colored hair in the 1990s & had soo much fun with this product called "Manic Panic". I'm sure many OGs remember. Things were better then. I miss writing my friends notes on binder paper carefully folded into different shapes. I also remember using pay phones, pagers and the gen x bands which changed the world. smashing pumpkins, nirvana, Pearl Jam, wu tang the list goes on. I go to this salon for haircuts for myself and my son, and it was good at the beginning. Lately, they have been sloppy. I showed three examples, and the hairdresser just glanced at them and gave my son the haircut SHE wanted. It was horrible, like she just shaved his head and left some hair at the top. I have taken my grandson here for haircuts for a long time. Yuki and Hai are great haircutters but for some reason for the past year every time we go there the taller barber (Dang?) cuts his hair and no matter what I tell him he always cuts it the same way and it looks just awful. I'm not going to take him back there, they are up to $18 for a haircut now and for that I am pretty sure I can find a barber who will listen to what I'm saying. read more

Got to be honest, got a sick haircut, if it was what I asked for. I asked for the sides to be skin/zero, he said "I will do skin and then a high fade." I asked for him to leave the top and not to blend the sides of the top, he did it anyway. He asked if I was gonna do the beard, and I said "yes." But he shaved the sides of my beard and didn't even check to see if they were matching. I can't go anywhere rn without looking like I'm an idiot. I took my father to this place to get a haircut and let me tell you it did not go well. I waited in the car while my father got his haircut and once he was done I saw him walking back to the car with tears in his eyes. He sat next to me in the car and all over his shirt was blood. I asked what had happened and he said that the barber cut his neck with the hair cutting machine. He looked like he was in pain and I felt extremely bad. He then went on to tell me that he didn't get any discounts due to the cut and was charged the same. Very disappointed. read more

I LOVE yuki!! every time i have come here, i leave with a cute hairstyle. she's very professional and does a great job at delivering what you want, either verbally or with a picture. she's also very quick at styling and cutting. i have not personally tried a color job with her but my sisters both have and their hair looked great! yuki is super sweet and kind and i would recommend her to family and friends. the location is kinda sketchy (same plaza as the blind pig and next to a supermarket that closed down a while ago) but don't let that discourage you from coming here! read more

I hate to be that guy but I'm not satisfied with my haircut. Below are pictures of my hair before and after, including the haircut I wanted that I showed the stylist. You guys be the judge. Now is it a bad haircut? No. Is it worth it? Not really. Expected for the price? Yes. I'm not sure how the other stylists are but the one I had was half Vietnamese/Black. I don't recommend him for specific hairstyles, maybe just barber cuts. I wrote 3 stars because the price is pretty good and the gentleman was nice. Just disappointed about the cut. read more

The price is only $10 which is very affordable. I had take my son to other hair cut place where they charge $20 and wasn't even good. Let me start off by saying, I usually do not like going to cheaper "$10 dollar haircut" places because they tend to be more about cutting quick than actually focusing on the cut itself. My roommate went here, because he's different than me about hair cuts, and he returned home with a pretty good cut and had only good things to say. So I decided to try this place out. I walk in and are immediately greeted by a Vietnamese couple. I first got my haircut from the man that works here. He ended up being extremely friendly, EXTREMELY tentative to my hair cut. I must of been in that seat for atleast 45 minutes as he knit-picked his out work on my hair. And in the end he did a fantastic job. I just went back for my second time here. This time I was put with the female. She was also just as friendly and careful with her work. They are great hair cut stylists and well worth the 10$ cut. TL;DR: This place exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this place. read more
