Throughout the appointment, she was asking me questions to get to know me, seemed genuinely interested, and seemed like a friend. It was clear she not only is good at her work, but she enjoys it. My hair was done pretty close to the time frame she gave initially, and it was a reasonable time frame for what we were doing. And very important- my hair is AMAZING! She did exactly what I asked. I am so happy with it! But even so, she made sure I knew she wanted me to love my hair, so to let her know if after living in it I needed anything to be adjusted. I mean come on, what more could you ask for- perfect hair, and made sure I felt I could reach out with adjustments if needed- which brings extra peace of mind. When we finished everything, she gave me a hug and still seemed genuinely happy. She had another appointment right after, but did not make me feel brushed off even to the end of the experience. All around, Rebecca and Studio Three are a blessing. It's rare to find a stylist and salon that do excellent work and also make it a genuinely wonderful experience in every aspect.

I usually don't write, or say, negative things about people, but I am really disappointed in Yuka Style Salon in Beverly Hills.Yuka Style Salon agreed in advance to provide hair & make up for us and our wedding party at no charge, as they in turn would be mentioned on our social media. The plan was that they would come to the hotel were the bridesmaids were staying, and take care of their hair and makeup there. Unfortunately, this didn't happen, and they went back on their word. JUST HOURS before our wedding day, we were told that they changed their mind, and the services would not only need to paid for, but they were no longer going to go to the hotel to meet the bridesmaids. This was obviously a problem, it was now the morning of the wedding and we were left with no choice but to agree to their new terms. Last minute, everyone jumped in an Uber, to drive an hour for services they weren't prepared to pay for. Making matters worse, the person who did the hair and makeup for bride, wasn't the same person how was there for the practice run 2 weeks prior! Yes, she was a hairdresser for the salon, but she was admittedly a self-taught makeup artist, and the only makeup artist responsible for all the girls, in addition to the brides hair. Again, at this time, there were no other options. In the end, not only was the morning a complete mess, but the bride, the bride's mother, and two of the bridesmaid were in tears just before the ceremony, hating their hair & makeup. All this took place on camera, so there is no denying it, just a shame it had to happen. It was my first time going to this salon, one of my friends recommended here to me she said it's a Japanese hair salon and you know they are the best in hair products and job. I went yesterday for 5 steps treatment and blow dry It was a nice cute place, very friendly people working there the receptionist was so warm and nice and Yohei who did my hair the 5 steps treatment and blow dry he was amazing very professional and he did an amazing job on my hair, my hair os already looks more healthy and beautiful. First of all, I want to say that Yuki is a very nice person, and this review is not personal in any way. I also completely understand that for some people, paying $220 plus tip (around $270) for a trim is totally normal, and I'm sure many clients are very happy at this price point. However, this price point does not match my personal understanding of what $270 represents for a haircut in LA. For me, when I pay this amount, I am paying not just for time, but for the stylist's professional judgment and their understanding of beauty -- meaning there should be some meaningful adjustment or improvement based on my original haircut. In my case, my hair has two layers. On the lower layer, it was mainly blow-dried and cut slightly flatter to look heavier, which took less than five minutes. On the upper layer, there were literally about three small cuts to add texture. I am not even commenting on whether the result is good or bad -- but objectively, the change is extremely minimal. After multiple haircuts in LA, at this price level, I personally expect to see a noticeable difference. At this moment, I honestly can't tell if my hair looks any different from before, and I'm not even sure if it will look better after washing. As today's result contributed by professional blow-dry. I hesitated a lot before writing this review. But I realized that when your expectation and your budget are well matched before a haircut, the whole experience can be very comfortable and positive. When they are not well matched, it becomes a lose-lose situation. The stylist did spend a full hour providing the service, and I did receive that service for an hour. But the service itself did not match what I had prepared to pay for. At that point, you cannot refuse to pay, but you also feel quite uncomfortable after paying. This review is mainly for those who are relatively sensitive at this price point. If your budget is very comfortable, your hair structure is already very good, and you are happy with just a very simple trim on top of an existing style, then this may be totally fine for you. The products, washing, blow-drying, and overall environment are all very good, and the general experience itself is pleasant. This is simply my personal experience and expectation at this price level.

I get a cut every few months and a balayage about once a year, and it lasts forever. The color grows out beautifully and still looks intentional months later, which is rare and such a testament to his skill. His cuts are just as impressive--effortless, flattering, and easy to maintain. I don't want to come off as a difficult…read morecustomer, but I think my complaint is perfectly fair and it does need to be shared with others since I did pay quite a bit to have my hair ruined and I honestly have no clue how to fix it besides shaving it all off TL;DR: Cutler stylist who kept smoking weed during our appointment was unknowledgable about doing blond hair and overcharged me for an unfinished service: paid ~$650. Her mistake doesn't seem to be reversible and now I'm stuck with terrible hair Long story: I initially went to Cutler since they advertised razor cutting and I wanted the previous razor cut I had gotten in another city. The stylist wasn't particularly amiable and didn't give me the razor technique or style I wanted, but it was just a cut, so whatever. Then I messaged another Cutler colorist on instagram to have my blond roots touched up. She quoted me $550 and recommended I let her do highlights instead of my standard bleach and tone to look "more natural" because she thought my solid blond looked fake. She insisted that she could give me the great bright blond I wanted with highlights only and that I would not have the "salt and pepper" gray-effect hair I was concerned about- blond strands on dark hair. Since she was the professional, I took her professional advice and let her proceed During the appointment, I noticed I was double booked. She kept leaving to work on another's hair while I had bleach and foils in mine. This made me nervous since she wasn't checking the processing time much and didn't communicate with me about what she was doing. She also didn't speak to me, no niceties or new customer introductions for the entire appointment. The experience felt cold just like the last appointment I had with the other stylist. I hadn't experienced that in the decade of getting my hair blonded at various salons. It was very unusual to have two stylists at Cutler not do any friendly small talk with their new client, but I'm not very chatty anyway and chair manner isn't a deal breaker for me. What was really wild was that she kept disappearing to SMOKE WEED in the back with other staff Then when I got home, I realized that she only did half of my hair. HALF! So the bottom half was completely undone with dark virgin roots and I paid $650 with tip. I did not ask for this, it was a complete surprise. So with the cost of the cut and color, I paid nearly $1000 at Cutler Salon to get my hair back to the hair style I like and they completely missed the mark in both skill and customer service Needless to say, I didn't return. I trusted this Cutler stylist's expertise and continued getting the highlights service she had recommended hoping to get my bright blond back. It hasn't worked like she said. I now have the aging, salt and pepper hair I expressed concern about. I feel ugly, unconfident, and embarrassed to let my hair down. I keep it up most days because I don't know how to fix the overpriced highlights this salon gave me. I feel completely stuck and now I don't know what to do besides keeping the gray look, shaving it off, or dying it dark and spending a few years to grow it out. None of those options are great. This salon has "upscale" pricing and a great online presence that can easily dupe people into thinking they're a luxury salon that's exceptionally skilled with hair, but if you're looking for a new salon to trust with your blond, don't make it Cutler. Don't make the same mistake I did. Look elsewhere.

Now we all know that someone to touch our hair it has to be built on trust. I felt I had finally found my niche, I had came to Lidia I couple times to do cut, color, style. So at this moment I was a loyal client and would go to her in the future. Now some things slipped through the cracks while making my appointment. A couple months back I was ready to make a change and reach out a couple of time via phone and in person and the lack of communication failed. No biggie, I wanted to get my hair done here and nowhere else. Thought third time would be the charm so I stopped in person again and saw the owner Lidia. I mentioned that I was ready for a change and discussed what I wanted, I also asked for her colleague because even tho I had paid for a senior stylist her assistant at the time helped me ol half of the time. Again I did not say anything even after being hosed down during our first session. Decided to let it go. Well I indeed asked if she was available since I knew her as well and knew her prices were slightly different. However I was advised that they were actually the same. They did advise me they had someone knew with lower prices if I were interested. I was happy they were expanding but as I mentioned I was loyal to the person who already doing my hair. I had built a relationship and I was satisfied with the work being done. I requested to be booked with Lidia for my service. Now I know she's not there all the time so we can to coordinate a date where she was here on a weekend. I even requested a quote just so I would have an idea. Done! And received a confirmation. I had to reschedule and booked out for a month later. However the day before my services I received an email and saw a name I did not recognize. So I decided to text and confirm. I was advised that it was not with the owner but with a junior stylist because I had requested someone with lower prices. I was confused because I never asked, I was informed but because I didn't know her I was not comfortable moving forward with her. I then began receiving messages that if I didn't show then I would be charged, oh and the owner was not there so she wouldn't be the one doing my hair. I would however have the person (whom I don't know) do my hair because I "requested them". I tend to be clear, I don't know where the miscommunication came from. I've even received an original email that I was booked with the owner. I requested a call because I know I would never book with someone that I'm not comfortable and now have to be stuck in with. A lot of back and worth which wasn't leading anywhere. Neither of us felt that we were in the wrong, I was told I can book with the owner when she is in but at this moment I felt so uncomfortable and would be so awkward that I'd rather lose business with. I felt there was no accountability taken and I was convinced that I would be charged if I didn't show up with my appointment with someone I did not book.
