He replaced all of our ancient sewer lines and even threw the repair of a toilet and shower into the deal for no additional charge! He also gave us a deal on the installation of a new water main, which wasn't really necessary, but we took advantage of the fact that it was very easy and cost effective to do since the water main was running parallel to the trenches that had already been dug. Bill's work is impeccable and he's honest to a fault too. He followed through on his promise to come back after the job was done in order to patch up the areas in the concrete sidewalk that were slightly damaged by the installation of the new piping. He also came to me and confessed that one of his workers had broken a water valve on the City side of the property, and he kept his promise to reimburse me for the City charge when it showed up on my bill. Kudos to this small but totally professional and totally honest father and son business. A-Advantage really is the best plumbing service in the area.

Derek L. came out today to look at our AC Unit, which has been struggling when the temperatures…read moregets over 95 degrees, but otherwise cools the house. We were looking for a diagnosis and an estimate for repair or replacement. Derek said we had an old unit and the compressor windings were broken. He agreed to send us an estimate. After Derek left, I noticed my thermostat was off, which meant the whole unit was off. My husband reached out to Derek and was told he had turned everything off before leaving. We weren't advised of this before Derek left, had not agreed to any work or set up a return date, and were left in the 100+ degree heat. The off/on switch is on the unit, which is on the roof. There was no offer to come turn the unit back on. Note the unit was working when temps are below 95 degrees. I would have liked to have had a choice in whether he was turning the entire unit off and leaving us with no AC. The estimate was $5000 to replace the compressor or $13,000 for a new unit. Needless to say I had to call someone else out to turn the unit back on. At that time, I was told the we ultimately needed a new unit, as we have an old unit and when the compressor gets too hot, it turns off. Makes sense. In looking at whole sale new units they run about $4000.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company was sent to my grandmother's house yesterday by…read moreher insurance company to fix a leak. While the technician was there, the shower, sink, and toilet stopped working. He informed my grandmother that it would cost an additional $2,700 to fix the issue. Something about the situation and the cost didn't seem right, so I went to check the work. I found that he had installed a poorly done 2-foot lineset and left the bathroom plumbing nonfunctional. Today, we got a second opinion and discovered that he severed the water line to the bathroom. He refused to refund my grandmother and instead wanted to charge her more to fix his mistake. This company is blatantly taking advantage of the elderly and refuses to take responsibility for their errors. When I informed the technician that I no longer wanted him on the property due to his untrustworthiness, he became upset and extremely unprofessional. If this company does not make things right, we will escalate this matter to the Contractors State Licensing Board and pursue legal action. We now face a $5,000 bill from a secondary company to repair the damage caused by their incompetence. I will update this review with installation images as evidence. Stay far away from this company.
