Bill is the greatest, and that's no exaggeration. He is now the only plumber I really feel comfortable enough with to call and use on a regular basis. He did a major job in our backyard last year when he installed a whole new sewer line and water main, so he feels like part of the family now. This is my second five star review for him, and how many times do you ever give anyone two five star reviews, right? That tells you everything you need to know about A-Advantage Plumbing. We have unfortunately been having some irksome plumbing issues in our house this year, and that's no fun! We had a clogged toilet in one bathroom at the same time that the toilet in the second bathroom needed a new fill valve, so we had to keep turning it on and off. After that, we had a massive kitchen sink clog from hell during massive summer heat. Most recently, the flapper chain and handle on one of our toilets broke right after the completion of a pee. The bad news on every occasion was that Bill wasn't currently available, and so my brother kept nagging at me to just hire any old plumber, but I insisted every time on waiting for Bill because who wants to risk being overcharged by a plumber you don't know or trust? We put up with the kitchen sink issue, the toilet that was constantly running, and even the broken toilet with the hideous stench of rancid urine until Bill became available, and I'm so glad that we waited because Bill only charged us $200 for the fill valve replacement and there was no charge at all for clearing the clogged toilet in the other bathroom. It would've easily cost us $300 total with any other run-of-the-mill plumber. The price to clear the clog from hell in the kitchen sink was only $500, and he only charged us $164 total to resolve the broken toilet handle/flapper chain issue. Moral of the story? Take advantage of A-Advantage and hire them whenever you can, even if you have to wait, because Bill is well worth waiting for! I had a crazy pipe leak that I needed help with. When the first plumber I called came (Henley's), they let me know that I needed to replace my water heater as well. They sent me an estimate to fix the water heater for $2775 and the pipes for $725. They also tried to upsell me to 1) move my water heater outside the house, 2) get a fancier water heater, and 3) get a whole house water cleaning system. All with the sense that as plumbers, I was making the wrong choice if I didn't go with their suggestions. When I told them I was going to be getting other bids for the job, they walked away for a few minutes and came back with a lower price. I turned to A-Advantage instead. Bill did the whole job for a total of $2075. He carefully figured out what the real problems were and my options, and (as someone who has been a plumber for over 35 years) said that the new-fangled water heaters aren't a good idea because they haven't worked out the kinks yet, so he is always having to go fix people's and order new parts. He said there is no real reason to move the water heater inside, and he checked my other pipes to see if I needed to do a whole house repiping (and told me I did not.). I wonder if other plumbers would have been so honest. Anyhow...if you need a plumber, go with Bill and A-Advantage, they are honest, fast, and also nice guys. read more

I called A Advantage Plumbing to make an appt. My garbage disposal had a piece of metal jammed in it and needed to be fixed as it was not working. Before making the appt, the wonderful friendly person on the line gave me a suggestion to try something to remedy the situation myself. She said, "If it doesn't work, then call us back." Guess what? It worked and my garbage disposal was no longer jammed with the metal and it works just fine now. That was the nicest thing for them to provide this suggestion and save me money. I am so grateful. Bill will problem solve with you, give you all the options, so that you can make an informed choice that works for you. There is no upsell with Bill. If anything, he recommends ways to save money. Bill replaced my water heater in one day even though he said he would be over after he finished the other appointments he had today. Showed up at 7pm asked me to get a compling he didnt have on his extreamly packed van at the local hardware store. By the time I retuened in less tha 20 minutes he removed the old. MUCH APPRECIATED! My sister who lives in Calimesa developed a big leak under her kitchen sink. It's late afternoon, Friday before New Years Eve. I called several plumbers and all were booked. I contacted A-ADVANTAGE PLUMBING who was also very busy. However, they heard the panic in my voice and understood the critical nature of my request knowing we were entering a 3 day weekend. They scheduled their technician who arrived within a couple of hours. Karin talked us through how to turn the water off and we did. We have had Bill out a couple times to solve some Plumbing issues. The first time he replaced the garbage disposal, along with a kitchen pipes that was originally installed at a bad angle, causing the first disposal to rust out. We had a major backup on the Sunday of thanksgiving weekend. We were nervous about how much it would cost us to have someone come out and fix the problem. We had called a few local places and they were going to change us ALLOT. Ok, well to start I had a water heater go out unexpectedly and so I began calling around and no one was available today, even this company. Bummed out I scheduled for the following day and a few minutes after the call ended I got a call back and was told the plumber would come today as he heard I had no hot water. I spoke to the plumber over the phone to talk about my problem, got a very fair quote to fix the problem and he even saved me money by telling me what to buy to cut cost. The plumber went a step further and had all the necessary parts put on hold for me to ensure I got what I needed. The guys showed up on time, were very friendly and did their thing. Once all was said and done and the new water tank (which I bought) was installed it did not work! (My luck) the guys did everything in their power to get the retailer to do an even exchange and they flat out refused! My (now for life) plumber went way above and beyond, got me a new water heater his expense, and installed it, and all for the quoted price. (He will be working with the retailer to make it right). The fact that these two guys did all they did, kept their honest promise to provide excellent service and make me happy meant more than any review I could write! I highly recommend this company for all your needs. I did not get other quotes as I needed immediate help but I will say you pay for what you get and I paid a very fair price for all the work needed to be done to install the new water heater!
