This doctor DESTROYED my mom's life. Dr. Brisson was my mother's surgeon. It's been 18 years since…read moreshe underwent what was supposed to be a life-improving surgery. Instead, it has left her disabled and in excruciating pain every day since. The surgical team assured us that the procedure was routine, with little to no risk of long-term complications. Unfortunately, the result was nothing short of catastrophic. The post-operative care was poorly managed, with very little communication about what went wrong. He claimed to take life saving measures during surgery and was never held accountable. Despite her repeated concerns and visible suffering, her pain was often dismissed, leaving us to navigate a seemingly endless cycle of medical appointments, prescriptions, and failed treatments. Her quality of life has drastically deteriorated. She has lost mobility, independence, and her ability to enjoy simple everyday activities. To this day, she struggles with immense pain that no one seems able to relieve. Since then we've felt completely let down by Dr. Brisson and the team that handled the surgery, and the long-term impact on our family has been devastating. I hope that by sharing this, others may be better informed and that no one else has to endure the nightmare that we've experienced.

This was after many other medical people told me they could not help me anymore - even one doctor who was said to be "the best of the best." My experience is they do not recommend surgery unless it is absolutely needed. The physical therapist who usually worked on me at Garden State Orthodedics, the facility Dr. Levitsky is affiliated with, was Roy. I also received treatments from RJ, Ed, and Lya. All of them were very helpful. The other staff people were very helpful, too. Lil, Natasha, Carl, Kim and another medical assistant were also quite helpful. The people are very pleasant and it was uplifting to go to the facility. I recommend these practitioners highly.

He looked at my body like he was disgusted. Never even gave me a chance. I really believe I will find a more passionate Dr. That's not all about the money. I know that was part of the reason, could have been something else, not sure. But I did go in there with insurance, but I think the insurance wasn't good enough. I am going to continue to take care of myself and not let this Dr mess up what I am trying to accomplish. My feeling were hurt, but he can't break my soul. Anyone who had a great experience with him good for you.

This doctor also goes by Dr. Day…read more I saw Dr. Day twice for a wrist injury. He is listed in my insurance directory as a hand doctor, but he seems to know very little about the hand. All of his good reviews on other sites are for his boob jobs and paints the picture of an entirely different person, which is a bit disturbing. On Visit One, Dr. Day said within two minutes of meeting me that I needed to brace and rest my wrist. Never once did the doctor touch the injured wrist, xray it, send me off for tests, or even ask me to demonstrate the motion in which I believe caused the injury. I requested a XS wrist brace (I'm 5'1). He said that the braces were not sized and then sold me a size L. When I pointed out that it said the word, "Large" on the brace, the doctor ignored me. I only saw the "doctor" again to get a prescription for PT as I realized he was a bit shady. Again my entire visit was less than five minutes with no other patients waiting. He said there was nothing else he could do for me. I asked him for PT. He wrote me a prescription. I asked him whether what I had was tennis elbow he said he didn't know anything about the elbow. I explained that tennis elbow affects the wrist, and he responded by pointing to his elbow and saying, "this is the elbow." Pompous and ignorant = stay far,far away.

His offices reflect the amount of clients they serve and the scope of NYU Winthrop in their growing…read morecorporate pharm/medical expansion. He was informative, was patient though hurried when our initial consultation took place. He hooked us into two little books with promotional informative info on 2 different methods to alleviate prostrate issues that older men seem to have. I wonder why the medical profession is clueless on why or how to prevent prostrate issues in the first place but then the money is in the procedures isn't it? We opted for Rezum (catchy marketing name) which is a thermal blast in lieu of implant that Urolift provides in the Treatment for BPH vs Or Treatment of Enlarged Próstata Symptoms. So symptoms here are the key word not cause or cure. The doctor was effective at explaining what to expect and in doing the thermal blast and as we wait here to remove catheter we have yet to know if it will be effective itself. Schiff informed us on Thursday, the day of procedure, that he would be on vacation for the following Monday when the catheter would be removed. However being Presidents Day meant he had it in for a whole extra day. This meant nothing to the Doc or staff and everything to the patient. Had we known we would have opted for another date convenient to the patient. Here we are on Tuesday and the PA is explaining all the next days/weeks of adverse reactions or effects of procedure. Blood, clots being released in steam and frequent even urgency to urinate. This they explain after you have the procedure so you don't back out I assume. I can hear the nurse inside now asking him what procedure he had and am concerned she doesn't know it as she tests his bladder by filling it with water and having him pass that water on his own. I just keep thinking yo myself: the Doctor should be here for a man of his clients age and that in the least have called him to see how he is doing. I'm fortunate to be practicing healing modalities and as a health coach o know the healing foods that support the kidney, bladder and urinary tract. This I feel is critical beyond the 5 minutes the doc is with the procedure it's the healing that is critical as well. The doc nor anyone else informed the client that the body is best healed by following certain healing protocols. It's not bedside manner it's showing a client that you are not a factory producing money for the medical industry and that your client matters. But the future of health care is shifting and there will be this kind of practice where a client can choose between factory style disease maintenance or human approach to health care and repair. That said, the staff - except for front reception- were wonderful. The PA Julane gave us all the info we needed (what to expect) to focus on his body's recovery from the procedure. I used Reiki, Crystal Healing, a dedicated group healing for him and sound baths and I'm confident these modalities and clean diet have made this a procedure without incident. The PA was tuned into this and appreciated our approach. I do hope the doc enjoyed his vacay while his client pained an extra day with the damn catheter. To be continued....

TL:DR (July 2022 update included) he wanted to control my methadone which isn't legal for him to…read morecontrol in this setting. He ripped me off Prozac(antidepressant) and Valium (anti-anxiety benzo) after he had given them to me for 4 years. It was over something his very spiteful nurse told him. The same nurse that treats everyone like garbage mentioned to him that I was shooting methadone in the waiting room with the other patients. SERIOUSLY?!?!? Thankfully I didn't let him control the methadone, in fact, it messed up my treatment at my clinic. THE MAIN ISSUE IS you have to beat everyone there, meaning you have to be there at 715-730am(yes, that early),because it's first come, first serve, period. If you have a 745, but the 8, 815, and 9 got there first, too bad. Thats many of his bad reviews but it goes deeper, I've seen it. He has dark/evil side. The biggest smile I ever saw on the mans face was when he yelled, at others or at me. Last he said to me was "get out, bye bye". The look said it all, he enjoyed it. He enjoys torturing/watching reactions! Thankfully I can live without the meds he gave me, just hope I don't die from the blood clot and not having the blood thinners. I've suffered severe social anxiety, depression, and addiction for years. I'm getting help at a methadone clinic. 1st appt, he asked what I have been on during treatments and I told him they tried 3 different classes of antidepressants(there are 5 main ones I wanted a different one). The one that I had tried with the least side effects was Prozac so he immediately put me on that. My severe social anxiety(sweating profusely around new people, not able to talk to someone unknown without issues), he said Xanax or Kolonopin. I said no, bad combo with opiates, so Valium. He looked with surprise like "a junkie doesn't want a high?" Xanax/kolonopin mess you up with a stronger high which I didn't want, IVE WATCHED PEOPLE DIE because of these combos. I left with Prozac and Valium that day, but with an offer for methadone. I did once ask for methadone because I wasn't able to get to my clinic for 2 days. So I asked for 2 days worth... He gave 7 which screwed me badly**. I did well for 3 years with that combination and thought I found the answer, methadone, Prozac, Valium. I got down from the massive dose of methadone, 170mg down to 80mg willingly and while clean, then I was forced to switch clinics. **The clinic that got me clean found out about the 5 extra days of methadone I did not want/ask for(and they took them from me) and they kicked me out but THEY HAD TO DETOX ME. Thankfully, I started a new clinic within days but it was never the same. This clinic's methadone is sub-standard, not blocking opiates (like it should) or holding (keeping me from being sick) like the original that got me clean. I told him this too and again, he wanted to prescribe it but I turned it down again with the fear of losing another clinic and my gut saying no. There is a reason they don't allow it, I am an addict. They don't want me to have 150 pills/wk. I got tired of being sick every night and relapsed around Christmas, thankfully not for long (3 months) and only once a week. Trouble started the first week of this March. He did a yearly physical, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, and checked me physically, even did an echo cardiogram (methadone can mess with the heart). Mid March I had an infection from a missed shot that I didn't realize at my appointment a couple weeks prior. I went to the ER and I'm lucky I did. They found a large blood clot in my right lung 3 weeks after my physical. A clot that would have killed me within a month if not treated. I stopped using too. Finally saw him 5/12/21, the first time since my clot, he didn't mention my relapse or the hospital or the blood clot. Why? Because I spoke to the nurse about my relapse and the methadone I'm on. She twisted it to me shooting up my methadone. He wanted me to admit to it. I refused to say something that didn't happen. The nurse came in and lied again and that was it. No blood thinner, no Valium no Prozac. What about withdrawals? He doesn't care, THANK GOD I didn't give him the power over my methadone or I don't know where I'd be. I don't know how he gets away with having his dads MD diploma on the wall, his came from Mexico) As a quick update in July 2022, I was able to buy Valium from someone illegally. I thankfully am now stable enough again to start coming off the methadone... The scariest part is this "doctor" wanting to control my methadone and he would have cut me off EVERYTHING that day in May last year, which I was severely messed up from the blood clot and couldn't think straight to properly say what was going on.
