Pros: ・Stacy is really nice and very respectful towards you…read moreas a patient considering what she has to do for you. ・I did feel a bit of relief ・They handle submitting your claims to the insurance company for you which saves time and hassle on your part. They're very quick about this as well which is nice. ・The receptionist girl is really nice, free wifi while you wait. Con: ・On my first visit I heard one of the other therapists complaining in the waiting room about how she never wanted to deal with anyone over the age of 50 again. Granted, I'm not over 50, that was still not something I wanted to hear when coming to pelvic floor physical therapy. Even if you aren't my therapist, that's disrespectful and rude to do in front of other patients. ・I was told my problem wasn't a big deal and that I would be cured quickly. 6 visits later I wasn't cured and my insurance will no longer cover further visits so I'm SOL. ・While the in office treatment was okay, I felt like I didn't get guidance enough on what to do outside the office. Everything seemed to be with the assumption that I'd be coming here for a long time. I had no such intentions, and neither did my insurance and now I'm pretty much back to figuring out my own ways to heal. ・Since they do not accept insurance, I have to wait 3 weeks after each visit before receiving my reimbursement. I think most places do not take insurance though, but since this is so expensive to continue, I was hoping to get more out of this than I actually did. While I do appreciate what Stacy has done for me, I feel like a lot of my relief comes from my own research and trial & error. Stacy's therapy allowed me to discover where the pain is, and how to pin point it and how to focus on it when doing my own massages at home. However this was all with my own trial and error because she didn't really give me much useful exercises and stretches to do while I am home. I also feel like I sort of got different information each time I visited (I.e. I thought my muscles were tight so I needed to loosen/stretch them, but then I was told they are too loose and I need to strengthen them ??) Ultimately I left with a sort of confused feeling on what I should do so instead I got a book on pelvic pain which actually had a stretch regimen inside of it that I'm going to try instead. Overall I think maybe if you have a more aggravated physical problem, they may be able to help but I feel like because my issue wasn't as "bad" as maybe other patients, I wasn't taken as seriously even though this pelvic floor issue has caused me anxiety and grief for 4 months. I guess I'll just have to recover on my own.

I had really bad uterine fibroids that really put a lot of pressure on my bladder, which even after surgery of the fibroids I cannot fully void without using a catheter. I cannot express in enough words how this has taken vitality and hope out of my life. Naturally a positive and social person, now a much more quiet and introverted person. Its been tough and I have been obviously depressed. So I sought help from practitioners that try "alternatives" to not only help with the physical issue but the emotional and spiritual. I first saw Erin Oglesby who works with a method called, craniosacral therapy. On her website you will see this as the definition.... Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle but profound healing form which assists the body's natural capacity for self repair. The therapist uses light touch to calm the nervous system, identify and release blockages in the body, uncover root causes of stress and pain, and bring harmony to the body, mind and spirit. Erin is freak'n awesome and so cool. I was so comfortable and at ease and left high and hopeful. My healing will take time but I unblocked some pretty nasty stuff in my subconscious. I felt like I cleaned up some of that stuff that just holds you back. Definitely worth giving it a try if depression is something you are working on and do not want to continue with meds or are just seeking bodily relief. Next was Kara Mortifoglio....AMAZING. Kara works very intimately with your woman parts. I mean she is up there. I had heard of this type of therapy but had thought it would not help my situation much. But I was wrong. Again, I went to her because I was using and still am using a catheter. She is super cool and you feel like so comfortable. It's a good idea to be comfortable with your body and being a little exposed. Like going to the gynecologist except without the jaded Doctor and staff members and of course the metal tools, ugh. I had 3 sessions with Kara and though my body is gonna take time to heal, the tools she has given to me so far have been priceless. The self massage techniques to relax and stimulate stagnant tissue has been priceless. For years sex had been painful and so uncomfortable, NOT ANYMORE. I'm having sex again and its enjoyable. I cannot thank her enough for choosing this path to help us women to get our bodies back to us so we can connect with it. I do not see Kara anymore and I am moving back to California soon, but please do not let any Doctor tell you they cannot help, and if the alternatives are dependency on drugs or medical supplies. Its worth checking into other things. Our Bodies are capable of great healing. It would be a disservice to not educate and be proactive in your life to be happy and experience another way to get there. It will be life changing. Don't give up...DON'T GIVE UP. Peace!

I picked Dr. Culley because she is close to my mom's house and accepts her medical insurance. I am glad I chose her. What I like is that she is the only doctor and the office is small. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have come to my aid several times when I had questions about medications, care etc. for my mom. It is not like other doctors offices where there are several doctors and long waits. They even schedule my mom for blood work once a year through Quest, they will come to the house for my mother's comfort. I highly recommend Dr. Culley if you have an elderly family member that is in need of a good doctor.

The…read moredoctor spent less than 7 minutes with me each visit and volunteered advice about going gluten-free unprompted instead of focusing on my spinal injury (they're unrelated). The amount charged to my insurance, which I had to cover the spillover on, was absolutely absurd. $1000 for the first minimal appointment. I called the billing office a couple of times and was not able to connect with them. I had to pay $75, and then $37, on top of my copay, for every visit I had with them, and I have great insurance. I ended up going to a different doctor uptown after 4 visits and had a much, much better experience and am on my way to healing after a year of pain.
