Seeing everyone rave about this place and even hiring them for weddings and special events makes me wonder if they were having an off day when we tried it b/c I didn't have the same experience, so mine could just be an outlier. We saw the tent at an event and they were the only food vendor there. I'll add, hubby and I are both Mexican and hail from the 209 so I'd say we're pretty decent judges of tacos and have had our fair share of taco guys cater family events. We got the 3 taco plate, $15. It came w/your choice of 2 sides, we got beans and veggies, but really it comes out to about $5/taco which is pretty pricey if you're from the 209. But it's the bay so I know things will cost a bit more out here. However, the beans were a bit hard. The veggies were good and nice to see as an option. The tortillas were pretty big for street taco standards, but the meat filling was a bit skimpy for the size of the tortilla. The meat to tortilla ratio was really off there. The taste of the meat was okay but not great. We got 2 asada and 1 al pastor. My first bite was just tortilla, b/c the meat was concentrated in the center. The presentation of the tacos was not good b/c they stacked them like a pyramid which made it tricky to add the cilantro and stuff like that. Lined up side by side would be better. At this Livermore event, we met a girl who also happened to be from the 209 like us, and she saw us get our tacos. She was thinking about getting tacos too and asked us what we thought, and she goes "...b/c you know we're from the 209 so we know good tacos"..... We told her our thoughts BUT to not let our opinion influence her decision if she was hungry, which she was, as were we which is why we bought food, and they were the only food vendor there at this event. She did ultimately buy but I didn't get a chance to ask her what she thought. I appreciate that their menu labeled which items were vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian.

The taco guys came out to our site at our Livermore location and brought Al Pastor, Asada and chicken tacos. They also brought rice and beans with all the toppings. The food was excellent and the service was on time and provided with a smile. My team had a great experience at our Winter conference. I would highly recommend the taco guy if you are hosting an event. They did not disappoint.

We had YTG cater dinner for our baby shower and it was an absolute hit! Theresa made the booking process very smooth and simple. On the day of, their team arrived on time and had everything set up for our guests to enjoy. Their tacos are delicious and you won't regret booking with them! We've used your taco guy for 2 of our events now, and every time its been incredible! There will be a 3rd time in the future. Raving reviews from the guests! They arrive on time and have food ready at the agreed time. They provide all of the fixings for the tacos. We did chicken, carne asada, and Al pastor. It's all delicious and hot off the grille. 10 stars for the win!! YTG was great from start to Finnish with accommodations, fairness in price and value and they even donated to the foundation we were having an event for! The morning of the event I had more people show up than expected and they handled it and stoped at the store! Unheard of I've been doing events for quite sometime and 25 extra people is a big deal on the pivot! Well done taco guy !! read more

YTG was so great to work with to help me plan a big birthday party for my spouse. I worked with Elizabeth, who was super responsive to all my questions and helped me curate the perfect menu to accommodate our mostly vegetarian guests. Even when I realized one of the appetizer items had mistakenly been left off the menu the day of our party, she immediately rectified the situation and issued a refund. Our guests loved the tacos and the service - I would definitely use them again in the future! read more

We had Your Taco Guys for the Winter Wonderland at our school! Specifically Elizabeth and Pablo, who were the friendly staff that evening! They arrived an hour early to make sure that they had adequate amount of time to set up prior to our event! They were flexible with their placement outside of the multipurpose room. They were clear with their menu and pricing, so no second guessing. They also added coffee and hot cocoa, which were a hit; specially for a cold evening! I was in charge of the event, so I didn't get a chance to order till the very end, but Elizabeth was very sweet and had great service etiquette. The food was delish!! I had to share with my 7 year old daughter, so we only got the chicken quesadilla with rice and bean, but I say if they can do something simple, I know they can throw down other foods! If you need a vendor for an event, Your Taco Guys will be your best bet! read more

Had their food a while back when I visited Caps & Taps. Their food is better than most Mexican resturants in the general area. Food tatse fresh and once you take a bite your pallet is hit right away with great flavor. read more

We had Your Taco Guys handled the catering for our 50th Amador High school reunion in Pleasanton last Saturday night at the Veterans Hall. They were easy to book, and very helpful with making arrangements. They did an excellent job arriving on time to set up and start serving by agreed time. And, made sure everything was cleaned up when they finished. The guests were all pleased with the food choices we did. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The two workers that were there kept me in the loop as to what they were doing at all times. The only thing I would suggest for a group as big as ours was, is that they have a 3rd person checking the buffet tables when things were running out. The workers were very busy cooking and serving guests. We had to remind them when things were running low like plates. But overall, we were very pleased! Thank you! Doug Avilla read more

The birria tacos are TOP TIER!!! I've also had their pastor and chicken which are amazing as well. But the birria tacos are next level. I always get the green salsa and it's a perfect medium. They are usually outside of Middle 8 on main street in Pleasanton on Friday nights. Super friendly every time. 10/10!! read more

Hired YTG for our wedding in Livermore. They were great at first but after trying to get in contact with them, my faith in them was going down. We called, texted, and emailed and couldn't get a response back. Finally they reached back out to us and we're back in contact with us up until the day of. I was notified by my coordinator they did show up late but they were still able to get everything set up on time. Our guests gave us many compliments on the food and said it was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the horchata as it tasted bland and seemed like it didn't have enough sugar or cinnamon. But as long as my guests were happy with the food, I was happy. One thing we were told was the guy was slow and didn't interact with our guests when they were talking to them and seemed like they should of had a bigger grill. Not sure if I would hire again but I really appreciate them for being available for our wedding and feeding our guests read more

I can't say enough about how happy I was with Your Taco Guy. I used them for a backyard family gathering of 30 people. They arrived in plenty of time prior to the gathering to set up. They were very hospitable and gracious when interacting with our guests. Everyone was impressed with how wonderful the food was. The amount of food provided for the number of guests was more than generous. At the end of food service they packaged up all of the leftovers into containers to leave with us. I definitely feel that Your Taco Guy is an exceptional value for any catered event. I highly recommend their services and plan on using them again. read more

I really can't say enough good things about Your Taco Guy! Delicious food, early set up and right on time to serve for the party. We had several no shows for the event, so it left with extra food at the end that we got to keep. It was packaged up great! What amazing service all around from Your Taco Guy! The whole process was simple, easy, and delicious. I emailed a request with my event information and submitted my order. They were In constant communication the entire time. The crew members that showed up were extremely efficient and friendly. They promptly set up for service that was ready for us to enjoy. I ordered the Taquiza Package and added on Quesadillas and two trays of Veggies for our vegetarian friends. This included the salsa bar with all of the fixings, chips, and limes. In addition, they had two full pans of rice and beans. The Food was delicious, so much so that everyone went for seconds and some even thirds. They packed all the remaining food for us to keep. I am looking forward to having them cater another event in the future. read more

We LOVE Your Taco Guy! I have used them a few times and every time has been great. Most recently I had them cater for my husband's 40th birthday. The ordering process was easy and the food was delivered exactly when I requested. The food was fresh and all of our guests loved it. We did the taco bar and I also ordered 2 dozen tamales. The tamales were a hit! I also had Your Taco Guy to cater a Lawrence Elementary Staff Training. We had a taco bar where the meat was cooked at the school on a flat stove and the teachers were served taco plates. The teachers really enjoyed this. Your Taco Guy also gives back to the community and their food is delicious. A great combo :) read more

We had a graduation party for my son this past weekend. With about 75 guests, I did not want the task of cooking for everyone. Your Taco Guy was AMAZING! They arrived about 90 minutes before our guests arrived to set up and start cooking. The smell of the food was delicious and we couldn't wait to eat. We served 3 different kinds of grilled meat, refried beans, rice, quesadillas, plus all the taco fixings we needed. Our guests loved the food and there was plenty for everyone. Our Taco Guy packed up the leftovers so we had plenty for lunch and dinner the next day too. When we were done eating, the guys cleaned up everything and we didn't have to worry about cleaning up or dishes. They were friendly, easy going, and professional. I would highly recommend them and would love to use then again in the future. read more

We had Your Taco Guy cater a retirement/birthday party for my husband on October 28th. We were very pleased with communication of what they offered and pricing. We hosted 45 guests and chose the Taquiza Package with Guacamole, Quesabirria, and Full Grilled Veggie pan upgrades. They showed up on time, set up in the most convenient way in our backyard, our guests raved about the food. There was plenty for our guests to go back for seconds. When they were done with service they packages up all the leftovers for us and cleaned up. It was so nice not having to worry about preparing dinner, and everyone loves tacos. The meat was so flavorful. The leftover guacamole lasted days which is rare and was so delicious. Will definitely use them in the future. Don't hesitate to hire them. read more

I set up to have them come out and cater my event. We had 60 guest for a taco bar. Their communication was spotty but I figured they are busy, and it was a month to my event. Confirmation was made a week prior to the event. They showed up 30 minutes late and then one of them left. I asked the remaining employee about his coworker and he said he had to leave to get Pico de Gallo.... When he returned we were ready to serve, but they had no plates. I had tonsend someone to the store to get plates. Really unacceptable. I was surprised as I chose them due to their high rating. But the food was good, so I'll give them a 3 star.... read more

I attended a comedy show at 3 Steve's and The Taco Guy was serving! Thank god! I was starving (only had a salad at Locanda's Livermore) and went straight to get in line! They had my favorite taco, birria ! Super good to think they had only 2 tables to setup their portable burner, makes my mouth water just thinking about it! read more

I went to 3 Steves Winery to celebrate National Drink Wine Day (yes, it's a real thing: https://nationaltoday.com/national-drink-wine-day/) I was happy to see the Your Taco Guy set up serving tacos. Then I was even more excited as I smelled the grilled meat upon getting out of my car. It was a great day. I spent some time chatting with 'Riah - which made the wine/taco experience even better. The hot salsa is actually hot but not enough to make me cry or anything - I did grab extra napkins though - just in case. Tacos were made with love - but was disappointed they were out of quesabirria - I did show up late so that's on me and the fact that they were out shows they were good too. I had the Al Pastor tacos! Update: Teresa reached out to me and refunded my entire order and assured me this was not the way they typically did business. I was also offered a discount if I decide to try to use their services again. It doesn't fix what happened but I appreciate a company that stands behind their product and service. Very disappointed. After reading reviews I thought this would be a great place to cater my son's first birthday. Unfortunately the food was dropped off over an hour late, and the order was completely incorrect. I was missing over $120 in food. Not counting taxes. It's been 4 days and they have not responded to any texts or phone calls regarding a refund. Terrible service and the food wasn't even that great either. Certainly not worth all this headache. Very sad that this will be one of my main memories from my baby's first birthday. read more

Loved the food!! Had it at a friend's celebration and it was setup very cleanly and they were making the soft tacos on the spot. There was a good selection of salsas and toppings - so made my own makeshift nachos too :D Only thing that I would change is lesser salt in the cooked beans - as they were quite salty. read more

We are a local, family owned & operated, taquiza catering service specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine and exceptional service. What goes into our product and what comes out is as important to us as it is to you. We use only high quality ingredients in combination with our own traditional Mexican family recipes and prepare them with great care. We also make our best attempt to cater to every individual guest: Ask about our Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Keto & Halal options!

History

Established in 2014.

We spent a number of years hiring various taqueros ourselves before creating our own service. With each of those experiences, there were aspects that we really liked and others that we didn't. Our goal in this is to provide you, our clients, with something that we thought was missing from the market. We take great pride in using as much high quality, locally sourced produce and other ingredients as seasonally available and sourcing local vendors whenever possible. Our local community means the world to us and we make every attempt to give back what we can. For that reason, we are also very proud to be able to contribute to a number of local youth organizations that have helped grow and shape our children over many years so that they are able to do so for many more!

With a family of eleven, we understand fully the amount of stress that comes along with putting together the events that mark some of life's greatest milestones. We are honored each and every time that a client selects us to be a part of one such celebration. And to show our appreciation, we pride ourselves in taking away a major part of that stress so that you can enjoy the day the way that you should. We offer an expensive quality service at an affordable rate and a set-up that feels comfortable enough for a backyard gathering but is elegant enough for a more formal setting. We come to you, cook while you relax, and then serve you and your guests buffet style.

The Persian Chicken Kabobs are excellent. Between Santorini and Danville International Market I think Diamondbite's has the juiciest by far. Grilled to perfection. For the ground meat kabobs, I can only recommend the Beef version. The ground chicken was dry and overly seasoned - salty to the point of being inedible. The saffron rice is also good, though some more oil would be nice. They also offer extreme contrast of flavors - a side of pickled cabbage that's really tart and a single jalapeño pepper that's spicy for me. Definitely plan to try some of their other offerings. They ran out of Aush Resteh last time so it'll be something to look forward to forward too.

It was such a meaningful milestone event, and their team helped make it truly special. Jessica, the Executive Sales Manager, was fantastic from start to finish -- communicative, accommodating, and incredibly supportive throughout the planning process. She also reassured me that all the food was gluten free (except the rolls) and had vegan/vegetarian options available. On the day of the event, Vicky, Maria, Olivia, Jordyn, Corey, Nitish, Ellie, and Nick were absolutely exceptional. Everything was handled seamlessly and professionally. Their calm, steady presence made such a difference. They checked in at just the right times (never intrusive and always helpful), and anticipated needs before we even had to ask. We received so much positive feedback about both the food and the service; our guests were very impressed. At the end of the event, I hadn't yet had a chance to eat, and the team was so kind and patient, making sure I was taken care of even while they were clearing up (ahead of schedule, so we had no fear of getting close to the "hard stop" time at our event space). I ended up ordering - tri-tip - mashed potatoes - roasted veggies - assorted bread - lemon garlic salmon - veggie garlic pasta - Greek salad - dinner rolls - fresh fruit display - fresh fruit tarts - petit fours - gluten free mini cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, lemon I appreciate that Priscilla suggested to halve the salmon fillets to have double the number of salmon pieces for guests to have snack portions rather than meal portions. Although mini cupcakes were not listed on her menu, she was able to provide them. Also, you can ask her about gluten free desserts. You can have more than just macarons. Compliments I received... "Did you make the food? The salmon and tri-tip were so juicy." "This is better than most wedding food." 2 people inquired who I used to cater for the event. I received general praise that the food was good. I received explicit praise that the petit fours and fruit tarts were good. The mashed potatoes were thick but good. Passion for catering's setup and tear down went smoothly. It was maybe 20-30 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of tear down. I appreciate that they were able to provide decor for the food tables. We recently hired Taco Guy for a catered event on DEC 6,2025, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering the cost. To start, the team arrived a little late, which set the tone for the rest of the setup. The equipment and containers used for the condiments and food display did not appear clean. The overall presentation looked unprofessional, and the cleanliness was a concern from the beginning. Although the two workers were polite young men, they were not in any type of uniform and also did not give the impression of being clean or prepared. We ordered three different types of drinks, including horchata and agua fresca. Not only were the drinks not cold, but no ice was provided. The drinks also did not taste authentic, which was disappointing. The service included chips, but what we were given was simply a bag of plain tortilla chips poured out for guests. Once the bag was gone, it was never replenished. We also ordered a fruit tray, which turned out to be a complete disappointment. The fruit was not fresh, and much of it wasn't even edible. While the meat was cooked on-site, the Blackstone grill they brought was extremely dirty, as was the vehicle used for transporting everything. These details added to the overall concern about hygiene and professionalism. In the end, we walked away feeling very let down. For the price we paid, we expected much higher standards in cleanliness, presentation, and food quality. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend Taco Guy to anyone looking for a taco-style catering service. read more

Watch out for the watery refried beans!!! I was not aware they were so watery when it was delivered and put the entire aluminum pan that was wrapped in aluminum foil as is into the oven to be kept warn until my guest arrived. When I went to take them out the aluminum pan started to buckle and to compensate I tilted the pan slightly. This caused the watery beans to spill onto my wrist resulting in a nasty burn. If the pan was filed with thicker creamer or pastier refried beans the slight tilt in the pan would not have caused a spill. Luckily, my Tia's knew what to do and applied fresh cut onion and then aloe vera to the nasty burn. Thankfully I don't have major blistering. However, I still feel some of the pain and am now marked by a nasty burn scar. I wasn't going to leave a bad review, but then I thought you, the future customer, and I just had to leave a warning. The food tasted great and my guests enjoyed it, but the "bean soup" was tainted by the negative effects of me screaming in pain. We actually had to use a strainer to try and salvage serving the beans. If you do order from "Your Taco Guy" don't order the refried beans. Try the whole beans and ask for the extra water to be left out. read more

We booked Your Taco Guy for our sons' combined birthday party, and they rocked it! The service was phenomenal, they were very professional (i have never seen a set up like this from a taco caterer before), fast, courteous, cost competitive, and patient (with tons of hungry people lining up to eat at the same time.) The food was also a HUGE YES for us. Since it was a children's party we asked if they could do quesadillas, and they were more than accommodating. We also had the taco trio (carne asada, pollo, and al pastor) as well as a full toppings bar, rice and beans, chips, salsas, and guacamole (which was to die for). My party ate it to the last bit, it was so delicious! Another HUGE bonus for me was when calling to book my party, Theresa was very articulate and knew exactly what i needed and how much. All that i had to do on my part was give her a head count, which surely beats trying to do all that plus cook on my own. i cannot rave enough about them, if your looking for someone to take the stress out of your party, look no further! Your Taco Guy is our number 1 go to company for our party planning. Our family has used them on several occasions at different locations around Livermore. The grilled veggies were cooked to perfection! The meat was cooked on site which made out backyard smell amazing! It's always flavorful along with the rice and beans. We were so excited to have Your Taco Guy come for our special event at our school! They were able to accommodate our needs, communications was a breeze thanks to Elizabeth. Our cook came an hour early to set up, helped us with our additional food items, was so friendly, kept the food warmed up so everyone had hot tacos, cleaned up and packaged all of our leftovers for easy use later.
