Luckily, my sister did the leg work and recommended Jessica to me. Here are some reasons Jess is the best: 1. She's conservative with the scissors. If you've ever received a surprise mullet or bob ( I know I have!), you will appreciate this quality 2. She's a genius with both cutting and color 3. Her prices are extremely reasonable ($42 for a woman's cut!) 4. She's a perfectionist - it will probably be a bit longer of a time commitment than usual, but you will want as much time with Jessica as you can get. She's so fun and lovely. 5. She's a lovely human and a delight to talk to 6. She has LaCroix 7. Chill and fun ambiance 8. She doesn't push products or anything like that I look forward to my appointments with Jessica and have full confidence in her. Support your local, independent stylists and book with her! :)

Apparently, she took it as an affront at her hair cutting ability. (I loved my hair cut and told the stylist multiple times before I left her. We even hugged when I left, I was so excited with my new cut!!) This all happened in text messages. Happened in a split second -- she fired me. Then, later on the owner told me not to go back. So, I suggest if you want to be in a place that isn't judge and jury all rolled up into one --- keep looking. I think it's important to have a sense of humor and at the very least offer your client some 'air time' to explain without being so defensive. It was shocking. I apologized profusely and never received an acknowledgment on any level.

I was a client of Sandy's for a few years and she microbladed my eyebrows, threaded my eyebrows and tinted my eyebrows. She is my eyebrow queen! I had very light blonde eyebrows that I was always penciling in. Bri took over my eyelashes and made sure that I was ready for any event. Whether that was eyelash lifts, tints or extensions, she was the one who made sure I was ready! If you need someone to help you with your eyebrows or eyelashes, then go to these ladies because they are the best! If you are interested in Microblading, set up a consult with Sandy! One of the best decisions I ever made!

Now I can say without hesitation.. if you're looking for an extremely talented hairstylist, this review is for you I travel to KC often so I finally needed to find a local stylist. Choosing Emily was honestly a shot in the dark after researching a lot of blonde specialists in the area, but I instantly connected with her vibe and her after photos, and even more so once meeting her in person! The salon itself is adorable. The music is 10/10, which immediately makes the whole experience feel fun & relaxed. When I asked for a "sandy/beige, not too bright or yellow blonde" (lol), she completely understood the assignment. The color turned out exactly how I envisioned it. Honestly I'll probably want this shade for the rest of my life. I also really appreciate that she uses more environmentally friendly professional products. The rinse and scalp product alone will leave your scalp feeling completely refreshed! I could go on about how great my experience has been, but you'll just have to trust me and get in her chair for a consult asap! If you've been needing a sign, this is it! I was grateful she was so 'accommodating' with such short notice, the space was very clean, covid minded, and modern. I HIGHLY recommend going to Blond & Co Salon and ask for Suzanne!

I primarily planned my North Kansas City wedding from California. I was surprised to find that a hairstylist who would travel was one of the hardest elements to nail down. I really wanted someone to come to us so all the women in the wedding party could be together while getting their hair done, and because it was the most relaxing option for me. It was my day after all. As I searched around, this seemed less and less viable - everyone I found who was willing to travel was either ridiculously expensive, flaky, inexperienced, very dated, or some horrible combination. At the last minute, when I had given up my dream, had found that none of the local salons had the space for my large party on a Saturday with three weeks notice, and was almost in tears trying to find separate salons to take my out of town bridesmaids and other wedding party ladies my uber styled brother stepped up and saved the day with his stellar recommendation of Emily Holmes. Emily is an amazing hairstylist and I can't say enough good things about her! She is so calm, and easygoing. She is crazy fast with an updo and blowout, and her speed doesn't sacrifice anything! My wedding day is a blur, but I think her and her partner (Jen I think?) did 8 or 10 heads in about 2 hours! I couldn't believe it! That includes redoing my hair once because I wanted to be sure it was perfect. (I admit I was a crazy bride.) She was so fast, she even had time to trim my brother's hair the day of!! Best of all, Emily only charged about $40 a head. Most of the other places I looked at were charging $60 or more for each updo, wanted us to come to them, and said each one would take at least an hour. Emily is a gem!! Not only did the styles look great, they held! It was an outside wedding, and it of course rained. We took our pictures in drizzle, danced like fools, and everyone's hair still looked great at the end of the night! She is very reliable and professional. She responded to all my numerous text messages within a day (she works in a salon as well). She scheduled a second stylist to come with her to calm my fears of not getting everyone done in time. She arrived on time, brought everything she could possibly need, and had everyone done by the agreed upon time. I didn't take her up on it, but I know she is also connected with fabulous makeup artists who can travel with her.
