Monroe is cute but still pretty underdeveloped, and the prices feel more like what you'd expect in a bigger city. I also wish the dress code matched the atmosphere -- it's a nice restaurant, but there were people wearing fanny packs and Crocs, which took away from the upscale feel a bit. It's not about being strict, but a little more consistency would really elevate the experience.

I really wanted to like them since it was the main dish but I couldn't. I had a bite of my husband's sammy and it was so good! I love the toasted sourdough bread they used. The turkey and ham was good as well. I didn't get a chance to try the mac and cheese. All of it was eaten before I could even get a bite. Overall, service was ok. The gal at the register seemed annoyed when we were asking her questions about the menu and the food they offered. Even when I asked her for a to go box, she seemed bothered. It's in your job description to help people. I find it humorous when people act like that in the food industry. I know we will be in Monroe a couple more times before we travel back home. The crust is a little thicker than the traditional NY thin, more like Connecticut. But the taste was perfect. The sauce is bright with a good zing. And the toppings were *chef's kiss*. We had mushrooms, char and cup pepperoni, fresh ricotta, banana peppers and black olives. Absolutely delicious! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.
