The issue was bigger then expected which he didn't have the ability to fix it. When I went to pick it up later, he was apologetic and refused for me to compensate him for his time. He gave me recommendations for next steps. He genuinely cares and takes pride in his work. I appreciate him.

Tran not only provided a speedy service, but even went the extra mile to pump my tires since he saw the light come on AND even topped off my wiper fluid without me asking or even charging me. These simple acts were more than enough for me to come in again. This time for a vehicle inspection before my interstate move. I tried calling in before to explain my need, but since he had left the shop early that evening, he instead offered me quick solutions at tires shops around the area to fix my TPMS problem and then scheduled a date to inspect my car. During the inspection, he did a thorough job and pointed out the cracks and wear on my engine belt and addressed the replacement immediately (reassuring me that this is normal for a 210k+ mileage car). Along the process he helped explained what to look out for during my 900+ mile trip. I bought a quart of oil from him and he gave me extra rags with it to ensure a safe trip. This man knows his stuff and is genuine to his craft. Sadly leaving PDX but he has made my trip ahead feel assuring and I hope you all can show some love to his business. FYI, I recommend calling ahead before you go in; he's a one man team so it can help him schedule you in better.

After my brake man unhooked the battery to replace the oil pressure sensor the BCM permanently cooked. All it takes is one solder piece on one of the 2 flow soldered boards within this $189 AC Delco henco en Mexico BCM. Another short version of a long story. Suffice to say said cooked solder piece can be fixed if you can see and don't shake. GEORGE; owner of Burnside Auto Repair is an honest and fair proprietor who also has integrity. I paid a fair price for a real pain in the backside job. To see what I mean go to You Tube. I have no reservations whatsoever about taking the Buick to George in the future. The last thing anyone should do is take their car no longer under warranty to a dealership. One PDX area dealership wanted to charge me $331 for the $189 BCM. BTW- "Just Answer.com" provided a Buick/GM expert who charged $24 to confirm what I already knew. The expert did provide the flat rate manual labor for r&r of the BCM at 1 1/2 hours. The Buick expert had the exact same problem happened to him and it only cost him around $500. BUT HE DOESN'T LIVE IN PORTLAND. We have to consider George's rent and property taxes when it comes to keeping the doors open.

George has always done an amazing g job gets you in right away. Good service, good prices. Friendly.read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN! They will scam you, quote you the price of another…read morecar, and NOT put your car back together. The short service advisor with the glasses was very dismissive towards me when I dropped the car off for a diagnostic and was trying to explain the issues with my car. After getting an $8100 quote, I declined service and notified them that I would be picking my car up in a few hours. Attached below, is how they returned the car to me; parts that were not bolted back on properly/missing bolts entirely, and broken. My car's MAF sensor was left unplugged, along with the air box not being bolted in, and one corner completely broken off. The radiator and AC Condenser were NOT screwed back and secured into place; the core and radiator supports were not bolted on. My cars bumper supports were missing a bolt. Brought the car back the next day to give them a chance to make it right and the greasier looking technician with the ponytail and unkept beard walked around with his hands in his pants doing nothing for an hour, pulled my car in for a few minutes, then gave my keys back and sent me on my way. I come home to pop my hood open and see that they bolted/fixed/secured NOTHING. When called and confronted about it, the same short service advisor told me that the greasy technician screwed everything back in when it was brought back to them earlier. This shop's failure to reassemble my vehicle safely constitutes GROSS NEGLIGENCE, and potential liability, as leaving critical components like the MAF sensor, radiator, and structural supports unsecured creates an immediate safety hazard and risks further mechanical damage. LADIES DO NOT TRUST THEM. Matter of fact, if you own a car don't come here.
