They're all amazing but it blew us away how different the tastes are just from what the bees are harvesting. It's almost like wine where different nuances come from different grapes whereas with the honey it's all about what they're harvesting, I was blown away! My wife was busy at an acupuncture appointment nearby, so I scouted the lay of the land, promising the shopkeeper to return with my wife in tow shortly. An hour or so later, I fulfilled my promise, and the both of us spend the next 20-30 minutes browsing, and conversing with the (very pleasant) shop owner. All oils and vinegars are available for sampling, as well as a sizeable selection of salts and seasonings. There are also pasta sauces and noodles, chocolates, olives and other pickled vegetables, mustards, jellies, and similar culinary accoutrement. Among my wife's favorites were several fruit-based balsamic vinegars which, when mixed with soda water, create some tasty, low-calorie beverages that also are great for treating the persistent heartburn and indigestion she was experiencing during pregnancy. Considering my other favorite oil and vinegar shop is a five-hour drive away in Leavenworth, having Navidi's in our backyard is a blessing, and a guaranteed regular stop for us throughout the year. If you like your nuts freshly roasted and fragrant, then you'll love NWNut's almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, and pecans. This is the shop. It's more of a workshed than a store because this is were the local northwest nuts are roasted in small batches. It's also where you can buy them. I drive by regularly and hours seem to vary depending on the season, but they advertise 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We popped in and were greeted by the friendliest of ladies. If she isn't the owner then she should be. She was totally helpful and professional. The selection was limited that day, but it was impossible not to buy a few bags. In addition to roasted nuts, NWNut has nuts covered with white chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate. They also had a small offering of other foods, too. Christmas with Santa seems to be the peak season for roasted nuts and for NWNut. Check out their calendar for days & times with free photo opportunities and meetings with Santa. Obviously, NWNut is nuts about nuts ... and why not, nuts are healthy and taste amazing when fresh-roasted.

It's very sweet (like clover honey from anywhere) and has a freshness that is hard to find in store-bought honey. It's bottled raw, but the consistency is smooth and barely runs. Upon opening, there is a pretty white film at the top. I just ran out of my usual large jar of Harmony Honey from the Portland Saturday market and was devastated that my honey man won't be around till spring (ok, the address IS on the jar, so I could crash his farm. if only he'd get a website. that honey is floral and light). Alternatively, I searched New Seasons and after scoffing at the honeys from Iowa and New Zealand, and I found some down home local honey from Forest Grove, OR ($5.99/24oz)! It comes in the same jar as local Chonga's Salsa, so I presume they are some sort of deal for a small business. I'll have to keep my eye out for more of these hidden jems with black lids in the future. I love Oregon food!

Something about accustomizing yourself to pollen year round. He claimed that it had worked wonders for him, and he puts it in his tea on a daily basis. While I'm not a tea drinker, I thought... why not try it in my morning coffee? It's a simple matter to squeeze some honey into your drink as opposed to a packet of sugar, so I thought... why not. Coffee purists are probably grating their teeth right now, but I don't care. Last summer was the first full summer I'd been able to tangibly test results and... there was seemingly some improvement. Now, I'm not crippled by allergies, only inconvenienced. I can tell you with certainty that I was less inconvenienced last summer than in any summer in recent memory. Enough of my plight with allergies. This honey tastes GREAT! I buy it in bulk, which translates to a 5 lb. jar (~$17, give or take) every other month or so. This honey has also become a component of my mustard based BBQ sauce, and I can tell you with confidence that I would consider no other brand. It's that good. Sweet, dark, complex, savory... it's really fantastic. The product itself deserves 5 stars, but the packaging earns 3 stars. I'm not going to tell you what my specific beef with the packaging is, but I can tell you that I'm going to contact them directly with a simple request. If that materializes, I will definitely update to 5 stars.
