You walk in and all eyes are on you judging your appearance...YIKES! You never know the prices because you can look it up online but there is always a huge scale depending on the level of stylist you get and there are just a ton of unknown factors involved. What "type" of hair do they work with most? What is the theme of the salon? I recently moved and was way overdue for a hair cut...seriously even one of my dearest friends told me to lose the bun on top of my head! hahahahaha that has become my go-to style out of sheer laziness. I decided that this salon looked decent enough from the outside as I passed a couple times so I did a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get right in for a haircut and eyebrow wax. The ladies were friendly and I was offered a hot beverage which was very nicely served in a glass mug....that is a great thing. There was a nice exposed brick wall and lovely light fixtures as well as comfortable hair shampoo stations. My stylist Ashley was easy to talk to and she listened to me and offered her expert opinion and advice and we proceeded to take approx three inches of hair off and then for the first time in my life the stylist actually styled my hair exactly how I would if I had any skills at all. I loved this about her... so often I have left the salon not feeling like myself and waiting to just wash and do my hair myself to see how the cut really came out. Nope---Ashley did an amazing job and made me feel fresh and frisky again! My brows still need some help she cleaned them up with what she had to work with but I need to find a lady that is top-notch shaping artist to get them how I would like them....

I have never had such a good experience with a hair or makeup artist before. My hair and makeup lasted all day in the 90 degree heat and still looked just as good at the end of the night -- and I have oily skin so that's a real challenge. She even airbrushed my collarbone area because I had over-exfoliated it and it was red! She also did my mom's makeup and it turned out wonderfully, so I can vouch for her ability to work with mature skin. My mom never wears makeup and doesn't have a lot of confidence in her ability to pull it off, so it was such a gift to see my mom feeling beautiful on my wedding day too. Cristina was so friendly and easy to work with, and she ensured that I was happy with my look and can look back at my photos with nothing but happiness over how everything turned out.
