Don't do it to yourself. I showed up this morning to get my makeup done and couldn't get in the building as they were closed. I walked around the building, couldn't get in, no one came to let me in, so I went to my car and read and reread and rereread the policy to see if there was anything about getting in when they're closed. I assumed it was a mistake that I was allowed to book on a day that they were closed. I emailed the owner asking for my money back and she won't give it to me. She's calling me a liar and telling me she can't see me on security footage and I never came and I should have called to get in. Nowhere does it say to do that, I just assumed it was an honest mistake. She's extremely unprofessional and rude. When then owner and "beauty guru of the Midwest" shows up to do makeup for a wedding party... a CATHOLIC CHURCH wearing a mini skirt, crop top with no bra underneath, smelling of cigarettes and last nights drink of choice... you know things aren't going to go well.. She was a wreck. Loud, obnoxious and kept taking about how hot a groomsman was.. who was married to one of the bridesmaids she was supposed to do makeup on. A few girls said keep the deposit and just went and did each other's make up and Brooke said, "haha, good luck with that", and proceeded to tell the bride how they will "ruin her pics looking like that". Came in with a friend who lives in the area and as she was looking around, I googled some of the items I was interested in to see if I could find them cheaper, well guess what, I could! Basically any of us could get a license, just by following a few simple rules. PLEASE, do your research before getting work done. There are people acting like they're professionals because they have a license but are permanently damaging their customers. Do NOT go get PERMANENT eyeliner, lipliner, eyelash extensions or any type of work by these people!! Did you also know Wisconsin does not regulate the training in which these individuals choose to go about in order to learn these procedures! YIKES! Also, don't fall for any bullshit photos for lip color/tattooing where the lips are plump in the after and not the before! If I could give this business zero stars I would. When I first walked in the owner was doing another coworkers lashes in which I had to wait. I decided to use the restroom and as I was in there she called for me and her tone was almost annoyed. So I sit down in her chair and she asked me what I was looking for. She proceeded to say I had a bit of mascara residue and used a qtip to remove it, but said she is concerned the lashes won't stick. Mind you I've worked at a lash studio (never had them done but knew the procedures) and I am a makeup artist, why wouldn't you ensure it's a blank canvas? Why wouldn't you cleanse the lashes before an application? Now a normal lash appointment for a brand new set is roughly 2 hours. From the time I walked in and walked out it was 40 minutes. She proceeded to say some will fall out (probably to cover her work) and they would be attached to my lash. I walked down the street and 2 groups of lashes fell out when I got to my car...seriously?! I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Next day, another one fell...neither day were any of my lashes attached. It was the lash she "glued". Day three virtually my entire left eye lost the lashes she placed. When I tell you that the lashes she placed on me looked identical to the lashes you can purchase at walmart, it's an understatement. I proceeded to call and even though I'm an hour away would like to get them fixed. She wanted me to pay for another session mind you I paid $180. I'm not paying again, that's ludicrous. She then proceeded to blame me for it not working. I sent her pictures and I then asked for a refund...she refused. She could have had a repeat client if she would have approached this situation with class, but her tactless customer service was less than exceptional. I have been here many times over the years to the Hudson Location. There was at one point a girl named Jamie that worked there. She was AWESOME! Now the last few times, I have come out looking like a child threw a box of crayons at my face. The young gals here now doing makeup don't understand we all aren't 20 years old. A 40 year old and a 20 year old don't wear the same face. You can ask for professional, subtle, and natural but you won't get it. I came home from my last make-up application and my teen daughter says, " What's wrong with your face?" I'd post a picture of it, but I am too embarrassed. Also, I agree with what others have said. It is filthy in that house. The store was so much cleaner. I've never met Brooke, but I have heard she is great. If she is as good as everyone says, I wish she would mentor her staff a bit more. I was very excited to get my makeup done here for a formal occasion but came home extremely disappointed. The whole appointment was about ten minutes so my makeup looked very rushed- my makeup wasn't blended in all the way, false lashes seemed to be slapped on and I felt as if my makeup artist just wanted me to get out so she could get paid. I asked for a more natural look, but got cake face instead. I had to wipe off most of the makeup before I left for my event. The makeup artist was rude and harsh and kept saying things about how quiet and shy I was ("well you don't talk much, do you?"). I came here every two weeks for months to get eyelash extensions and fills. I saw Brooke every time and I was always satisfied! She is very nice and funny and I always looked forward to my appointments. I was always really happy with my lashes and they always looked good! Brooke did them quickly, but very well, which I liked. The prices for the initial set and the following fills are very reasonable and fair! If I hadn't have moved I would still be getting my lashes done by Brooke. WOW. WOW. WOW. I am so glad I chose this place to do my make up for my wedding. This place is girly, plays loud pop music and has beautiful workers who are fun and energetic. My makeup was done by the lovely brunette employee, Jaimie. She was fantastic. During the trial run, she was very helpful on playing different looks on my face: from pin up to a natural looking bride, she did it all. I had so much fun choosing so many different lip colors! Price for makeup is $50 plus $25 more if you wanted to upgrade for airbrush foundation and $15 more for false eyelashes. It's definitely pricey but I wanted it all, and now I am hooked on airbrush foundation. They use the brand, Dinair and it is fabulous: It gives you that flawless celebrity look. It covered my acne scars and uneven skin tone. And did I mentioned it's sweat proof all day?!! IT IS AMAZING. I've had airbrush done before by a different place and didn't like it because there wasn't much of a difference but thanks to BB Makeup, I am forever changed. Oh and my bridesmaids got their makeup done too and they can tell you, they love it too! On the wedding day, I felt beautiful and confident, people complimented on my face and I didn't worry about sweating on the dance floor. The next morning when I woke up, my face was still covered well. (yes, I know, you should wash your face before you go to bed but when you spend this much money, make it stay as long as possible) The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because every time I called, the phone kept on ringing or I would get their voicemail. I highly recommend calling them Mon-Thurs in the afternoon during the non busy days. And be sure to book the appointment online rather on the phone, it's much faster that way, however, if you plan to use them on the weekend, be sure to call because they're usually booked during wedding season. My aunt was raving about this cute little beauty bar in downtown Hudson, and was dying to take me and show me the wonderland of cosmetics and beauty products that they have. It's a tiny little bright pink shop, walls lined with sparkly, girly, professional-grade makeup. They've got everything from cosmetics, false eyelashes, hair extensions, solutions & potions... you name it, it will be there! They carry really unique lines of products I haven't seen before - first and foremost their own BB line, and a few others as well. The products all looked like they are as high quality as MAC cosmetics. The girls who helped me out, Jaimie and Shelly, were so sweet and friendly and really smart. They helped me with some gorgeous hair extensions - showed me how to put them in, style them, take them out, and even showed me how they wear their own. I have been getting lash extensions for the last 2.5 years by someone amazing in Nashville. I recently stopped traveling back and forth to Nashville, therefore I needed to find someone closer to Woodbury where I live, so I decided to try Brooke Fleetwood at BB (three weeks ago) for a lash extension fill. Later that same night, my eye lids flared up. I could barely open my eyes the next morning! The lashes were pulling and hurting so badly that I knew I needed to have them removed quickly. I tried using benedryl, allergy eye drops, sudafed, and ibuprofen, and NOTHING worked! I ended up having them removed by a professional in Atlanta a day later, since I was out of town on business. Turns out Brooke had glued the lashes directly to my skin and glued all of my lashes together!! To those of you who do not know about lashing, the lashes are NEVER to be adhered to the skin... And are only to be applied directly to each individual lash. Due to Brooke's application, I have lost about 40% of my natural lashes and have been diagnosed with Blepharitis. Basically my tear ducts and oil glands along my lash line are clogged due to being glued shut. Not only did she cause clogging of my oil glands and tear ducts, but due to her poor sanitation, she spread a lid infection to me from another client. I am now on prescription medication and keeping my hopes high that my lashes will grow back. Now, three weeks later, I still have not heard back from Brooke. She will not respond to my texts or phone calls. I have stopped into her studio twice, and she has been unavailable. She will not refund me! And has made no attempt to make this right with me. I want to make it clear to whoever is reading this that I am not the type of person to cause trouble for anyone. But Brooke's practice is unethical. read more

Unfortunately I have to update my review to a 1 Star due to my lashes. I've been getting lash extensions for years and you have to adhere the lashes singly to each lash. This stopped happening and they were literally just glueing and stacking on top of other extensions. After a few weeks my lashes were so heavy and literally just filled with so much glue. When I would shed, I started noticing bald spots. I went to another salon to have them removed and they told me they had never seen an application so bad. They also told me I was not the only client from B.B. who had come in with problems. I have to now wait at least a month or longer to try to get my lashes to grow back, I have so many bald spots. I am super disappointed, but should have known something was up when the fill only took 25 minutes and a good fill should take 1 hour. If you love your lashes, don't go here. read more

I won a make up lesson here and I felt like it was just for selling their products. After she was finished, they make up lesson literally took ten minutes and the last thing she says is 'ok now what would you like to buy' I will not name names but the girl was very pushy.. also had gone here for wedding hair and make up and was not impressed. The same brushes were used on everyone. Felt very rushed and that we were not important enough as the next group that would be coming in. The before and after pictures on the website I feel are done with care...because I can tell you I did not look half those people, for $90 I fell like my make up should of lasted all night. My hair was ok but again was flat by the time I left the salon. And yes I was told that I could get it touched up but I would have to sit and wait for the other girls to finish...and honestly did not have time for that. And we were told that there would be multiple staff there to help with our big bridal party. There was only TWO! I am really disappointed. I did a trial for my makeup for my wedding day. Come wedding day, it looked nothing like my trial. I talked to Brooke a week after, after I noticed it. She replied with "well why didn't you say anything when you looked in the mirror?" As a bride... we all know our minds are going a million different directions. Yes the makeup did look good when I looked... but didn't notice the different color eye shadow when I looked in the mirror. So it was my girlfriend's Golden Birthday. We got a party bus and we were going to dress up and decided it would be awesome if we got our make up done at BB since there always seemed to be such a "buzz" about it. So we scheduled appointments to have our foundation and stuff applied but not a "full application" because, sorry I'm not going to pay an extra $35 for someone to do my eye shadow when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself....WHY OFFER A PARTIAL MAKE UP APPLICATION IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE PISSED WHEN PEOPLE ONLY WANT THAT?! When we arrived at our appointment the beauty tech was ANNOYED that we were only doing what we paid for and asked for. We were in and out of the salon in less than 5 minutes..no joke (The both of us)...She literally sprayed my friend's face with the airbrush make up and then didn't even clean it out before she sprayed me. When she went to spray me it almost felt too much was coming out and not even. BOY WAS I RIGHT. AND she didn't even put the right color foundation in. I'm sure she just used what she used on my friend because I'm much darker complected than my friend. When we went home my mom literally said "You look like a ghost for Halloween!" My friend and I spent 2 HOURS trying to use our bronzer and other foundation to try and correct the horrendous hack job and terrible service we received all because we only paid what we ask for. I had such high expectations too. Oh well, I'm glad I only paid for a partial. I'll stick with the classy and upscale salons in town who value their potential new clientele. I went to my normal salon because i knew these lashes were on wrong and too long and etc. Lets start with i was never told to take my contacts out, which should have told me too as the glue could have seeped into my eyes and glued my contacts to my eyes! Then my salon asked what i have been doing to clean them. Wait, im supposed to do that?! So i lay down and my tech gasps, there are 10 naturals on one extension at many different points. So she is trying to seperate them and its not working. So we call the bb to see what glue they use. A girl answered and i gave my name and she literally said, that cant be your name the last name is different on the id. Yeah no duh, i got married. Then shes says she cant find me in the system, so i gave her the time, date and person i saw. She puts me on hold and the girl that did my lashes comes on the line and goes in the most bitchiest voice, why are you taking them off. I said not that its any of your business, but im just trying to get them filled but there are so many stuck together that we need to get those apart to put more in and they started accusing us of trying to steal their glue. I am a girl who has been a part of weddings and other events where professional make up services have been offered to me and I have always opted to do my own as I am very particular and truly enjoy doing my make up. I follow make up tutorials and blogs, and have friends ask for me for tips or even for me to do their make up for them on a regular basis. That being said, I am not one to pay for professional make up (the last time I did was in high school for a formal dance and I came home after, extremely disappointed, washed it all off, and redid everything myself). However, when I came across BB a couple of years ago online, I was impressed and had always wanted to make an appointment, hoping to perhaps learn some new things and treat myself to something different. Their only initial location, Hudson, was a bit of a drive and i never made an appointment. Soon later, it was announced that BB would be opening a second location in White Bear Lake, and I couldn't have been more excited as this was right in my neighborhood. I attempted to call the new location several times during their advertised business hours, and the phone was never answered. I left voicemails, yet no one ever returned a single call. Although disappointed with my initial experience, I made an appointment in Hudson for the Saturday before Halloween through their website. I chose Brooke as my make up artist because from what I gathered, she was the owner and had talent and experience. A day before, I got an email saying that my appointment was changed to a different artist, though I didn't think much of it. When I arrived, I was rushed right in the door and asked to sit down. The artist (I can't recall her name) was very nice. However, she quickly asked me what I wanted and seemed to get me in and out as soon as she could. While making conversation, she paused to ask if I wanted false lashes and I said sure and we went on chatting. I asked for a heavily contoured face with a glitter lid, smoky eye, and overlined,bold lip. I ended up with glitter to the brow, purple lip stick that didn't even fill my natural lips, and a little bronzer on my forehead over a foundation far too light for my skin. The woman that did my make up also rang me up, which is when I realized the false lashes me offered me cost an additional $25. I ended up leaving unhappy and uncomfortable voicing my opinion as I was so rushed and only had contact with the woman that did my make up. In the end, I spent nearly $100 with tip and ended up at home redoing most of it and salvaging what I could. Not only was the time leading up to the appointment a disaster with several scheduling mistakes the services were not great and we were overcharged, ran late, and the hair did not even hold up before the ceremony started. Terribly itchy and uncomfortable. Not to mention, the service was over in less than 30 minutes. For the amount of money I paid I expected the highest of quality and professionalism. When I went through a different salon, they charged $150 to have them removed AND for a new set to be applied (half of what BB charges). According to this salon, I was at least the 20th person to come to them for "lash rehab" after BBs careless job. It took 3 hours, but they were applied perfectly. I truly believe "fame" or whatever "celebrity" she thinks she is, has gotten to her head and ever since then the quality of her work and business overall has gone down terribly. I recently had an AWFUL experience. I booked an appt for Halloween months ago and was the day of my appointment told to be on time because they had a full day booked. I showed up early and ended up having to wait an hour past my appt time. The owner, Brooke, did my make up and did an awful job. She didn't listen to a thing I said about how I wanted it. After I told her I wasn't happy she fixed it but charged me over $100 more than my quote price. I had also asked for fake eyelashes, which usually cost $10 max, and she charged me $40 for fake eyelashes without asking ahead of time if I wanted to pay that much for them. I will never go back here. Brooke, the owner, is completely unprofessional and is only concerned about making as much money off you as she can! I went there on my golden birthday to get a partial makeup done and it was absolutely terrible...they must not have cleaned the airbrush gun cuz I had about 5 or 6 different shades of foundation dots all over myself! It was horrible and my skin started to feel hot and a burning sensation...the girl who did the makeup did not ask me anything or even say anything to me or my friend on how we wanted our makeup or what we prefer...even when we were walking to my car a guy we passed looked and laughed and said "what happened to you?" My friends mom also said we looked like ghosts...That's how terrible it looked...I went straight home and washed my face and did my own makeup and it look 100 times better than the pathetic hack job they gave me...I will never go back there again. I called to schedule a bridal trial makeup appointment. I was urged by the receptionist to schedule a trial appointment as well as the actual wedding day appointment, as they are very busy and book up fast. She then took my credit card info and charged me up front for the trial session. I was to be charged later for the wedding session. I had the trial makeup done the following week by Brooke, the owner of the salon. In my honest opinion. I liked the makeup and told her so. I thought it was a bit on the heavy side for bridal makeup. Anyway...The future husband did not like it all!...Sorry this is my wedding day. It has to be awesome! I decided to make other arrangements, so I called to cancel my appointment. This should not have been a problem as my appointment was scheduled in mid June almost 3 months away. It was at this point that I was notified of their "Bride cancellation policy," you can't cancel! I was told that they would be charging my credit card for the service if I kept the appointment or not. At no time during my scheduling process was I informed of this policy. I was also strongly urged to schedule right away because of how busy they are!. So I did....I cancelled my appointment and told them that they are not authorized to charge my card. I then called my credit card company and was told that this is not only considered poor business practice, but illegal. You simply can not be charged for a service or product that was not rendered. I then got a call from Brooke, the owner of the salon. I spoke with her about her cancellation policy and asked why I wasn't informed until after I tried to cancel. She said and I quote "I didn't tell you about it because you seemed to be so excited to make an appointment." I then told her that it is her responsibility to inform the public of her policies before they actually make an appointment. She then said " I don't like the way you are talking to me. You are being BITCHY!"...... Yes, this actually happened! The owner of business really said this to me. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I am totally shocked at how I was treated as a client and a person. As if getting married isn't stressful enough. I would also like to ad that I have never written a bad review about anyone before. My goal here is not to hurt anyone, but to prevent other brides from being treated with such disregard. I just read another review on this business, with the Better Business Bureau. Was not impressed. I had an appointment for mother of the bride make up. I was kept waiting because the person ahead of me was late for her appointment. One person was working on a Saturday morning. Lots of walk ins, so I feel my time was rushed. Imagine my surprise when I looked in the mirror and I had to tell the girl to put eyeliner on me! When I got home, I had to put my own eye shadow on because she only put white eye shadow on me. I think I got an everyday look, not a mother of the bride look! I wanted to look special for my daughter's wedding. And, I don't think I got that look! read more

This place REALLY REALLY SUCKS. I will NEVER go to this place again. Took my daughter there to get her hair and make up done and then her and I got eyelashes put on. As I was driving home one of my eyelashes fell off. Only on for less than 1 hour and it fell off. Then at home one of my daughter's fell off. I call them and they were to get back shortly never did. So we had to take our other one off because we live 1 hour away and didn't have any glue at home and we needed to get pictures taken. I spent 140.00 on everything and they wouldn't even give me any money back for the eyelashes. That is the least they could have did with the kind of money I spent. They finally messaged me after I tried contacting them 2 more times and said they wouldnt refund the money because they use the best glue in the industry.BULL I WILL NEVER go there again. Warning to all that will be going there. I recommend going anywhere but there. I know a few others that there eyelashes fell off too. Don't give this place any money. read more

I feel very compelled to warn others about the immaturity and unprofessionalism regarding BB Makeup and owner, Brooke Fleetwood. First off, I want to say that I was genuinely really excited to try BB Makeup when I scheduled myself and bridal party for wedding day hair and makeup, along with my engagement photos. After both my mother and sister called to make their appointments, they let me know they didn't really appreciate whoever they were speaking with, very unprofessional and no time for questions. I started to second guess my decision, despite already having paid $200+ (which kept getting more and more expensive with added on fees). When I called back with some questions (which I had to do multiple times because they always seemed like they didn't have time for me or were getting annoyed) I was getting more attitude and told them I wanted to cancel everything all together. Brooke couldn't understand "why" and literally began laughing at me over the phone and I didn't have the guts at the time to flat out say, "you're being a complete b****" or "I no longer want someone showing up half naked on my wedding day to do my hair and makeup". I should've never made the appointments in the first place, I rushed into it and completely regret it as Brooke told me "she doesn't know how to do a refund". I contacted her very nicely multiple times throughout the following weeks regarding getting any sort of refund and eventually she stopped responding/ignoring me and I'm now out $200+ along with my bridal party out $50+ each. I played the "overly nice, not that upset" customer when negotiating, so that maybe I could get a refund, but she just kept saying, "I don't know how many times I need you tell you, I'm not giving you a refund. I don't know how". She kept referring to a cancellation policy online, well I'm not sure how "accurate" that is, since every time I referenced a price or service on their website the response was "oh, I don't know how that got there, that's not right". Absolutely pathetic, I do not understand how someone like her owns a business. Absolutely no morality or ethics behind BB Makeup. I also reached out to previous employees of BB and they said unfortunately this is not the first time they've heard of this happening and they highly doubt I would ever get my money back. They said it was painful to watch how Brooke treated some very innocent customers. Brooke puts on a good show via FB and social media, but if you read the "bad" reviews, they are all like mine. read more

Just a heads up to anyone that is thinking of getting their lashes done at this location... I got mine done about a week ago and had awful reaction due to the glue and over stacking of the Individual lashes on my eyelid/ eye lashes I emailed the employee who completed my lashes and did not receive any response. Over the weekend my lashes became very irritated due to this. I reached out to the owner today and was rudely spoken to and blocked without any resolution. I had to go to a different spa to have the lashes removed immediately due to the irritation. What i learned is that this salon is not clean and the staff is not properly trained. I was very disappointed that I spent over $150 dollars to end up with an eye infection and no resolution. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from BB and taking your business elsewhere. Hopefully my awful service can steer a few people away from this location. read more
