However, when my home began to worsen and I could tell the situation was progressing, they acted immediately--scheduled the work right away and returned to install piers to properly elevate and stabilize the home so it would stop sinking. Throughout the entire process, the team was highly professional and respectful of my property. The work area was necessarily invasive, but they kept everything extremely clean and handled my home with care. Communication was excellent, with clear explanations of what to expect and a solid timeline from start to finish. They also provided a full warranty, and the quality of the job is flawless. Had 2 structural engineering firms - both had different solutions to the same cracks. Called Lonnie and Jack at Lincoln Jacob Construction (LJC). They came up with a 3rd solution that incorporated the best of both engineers. Claeton 2nd in command from LJC came over to redo the inspection that the other 2 engineering firms completed. He noted there was a marginal need to do anything . We decided to pursue a minor lift to fortify our foundation. After the completion work, LJC had the engineering firm to do final inspection. Voila - house foundation now solid and leveled. The people at LJC are great - honest, responsive and excellent value for a local Katy company. Some tips ; expect lots holes, but will be filled back up with soil or new concrete patch. For those areas where you don't want an unaesthetic concrete patch - like the entry to your front door -request tunneling. Ask for rebar added to concrete piers to provide more strength. Expect new cracks- this is inevitable but the majority of the my old cracks are much better Make sure engineering firm comes back to certify the completed work. My recommendations work with a good team . The best is Josiah at Crosstown Engineering and work with a honest responsive and excellent construction company - Lincoln Jacob Construction - Jake, Lonnie, Claetan, Omar and Jamie were great.

They are not the cheapest, but they justify their price with their work. My wife and I are extremely happy with Unique and will use them again if we have any other home remodeling needs.

When I declined to continue with a project with Brandon, the company inflated charges to consume the majority of the deposit that I paid them. No physical work was ever performed yet they charged $175 per hour in labor for sending one email to my insurance carrier asking why Xactimate charges were not accepted. They then charged $125 for two Xactimate reports: along with the labor to produce the reports. Very unethical. The owner Darryl stated that they are not in the business of assisting clients in getting work done elsewhere and proceeded to do with my deposit whatever he saw fit for his pockets. I would advise not to use ths company, but if you do.... DO NOT PAY DEPOSIT BY CHECK! They will tell you that to use a credit card the fee is a high percent however, I found, that they do this to keep your deposit because if you pay by check you will have no ally with the bank to dispute funds as you would with a credit card. I would have paid a set fee for an Xactimate with any other company from $60 - $100 with no hourly rate attached. They literally assumed my deposit by charging me for two reports and labor of $175 per hour, which they say was over 3 hours to generate the report.... I guess the paper for the report is $125 and the labor is $175 per hour forover 3 hours for a 3 page report. So unethical. Very bad business practices. The contract states the deposit is refundable if services are not rendered but that is false. I understand taking a flat fee for Xactimates but Darryl went overboard to assume as much of the deposit as possible... Please do your homework on multiple companies... I would not recommend Unique Builders.

In February of last year, my mother hired TCP for a screened in patio project that included a…read morefireplace, grill, and mini fridge. The project was supposed to take approximately 2 months. It has now been over 9 months, and the project is still incomplete. Throughout the process, TCP was extremely unprofessional, and the quality of work is unacceptable. The patio foundation was later described by their own contractor, Dean, as being done incorrectly poured and "messed up." We have him on recording stating that the foundation and other parts of the project were done poorly. The concrete now has major foundational cracks (confirmed by independent inspectors), further confirming that the work was done improperly. In addition to the poor construction, TCP caused serious damage and safety hazards, including: - A gas leak (while adding a speaker that they "forgot" in the process of construction into the ceiling, their contractor tried to force the speaker in near a gas line in the ceiling and caused a gas leak). -Flooding that left our yard underwater and muddy for months and still comes into the screened in porch (also causing structural issues) -Extensive damage to our yard and sprinkler system -Construction trash left all over our property for months -Nails and razor blades left on the ground, which resulted in our dog cutting their paw -Blood splattered all over the inside of the porch from a worker that was never cleaned up -We had to hire help to come in and clean up their construction trash and mess -The inspection has failed 3x by The Woodlands and it still won't pass inspection Because the conditions became so unsafe and unsanitary, we were forced to hire help to clean up after TCP abandoned the project. After Rob Douglass, the owner, came out to look at the work, he made rude and inappropriate comments to my mother, even mocking her for what she requested that would bring the project up to code to pass inspection and properly fix the issues. This behavior was completely unacceptable and disgusting. Since then, TCP has stopped responding entirely. No communication, no accountability, and no effort to complete or repair the project. Due to the seriousness of the situation, we are now working with an attorney. What was promised as a short stress free project has turned into a year-long ordeal involving unsafe conditions, structural issues, abandoned work, and a complete lack of professionalism. I strongly advise anyone considering TCP to look elsewhere.

I have multiple recorded conversations in which Dean admits fault for several major problems, including the way the concrete was poured. TCP has completely disappeared and has made no attempt to resolve or even address these issues. They were not the cheapest bid, and I chose them specifically expecting a smooth, professional experience. Instead, it has been constant stress, delays, and escalating problems. Because of the extent of the defects and the cost to repair their mistakes, I am now working with an attorney. The repairs will cost thousands of dollars due solely to their poor workmanship.

The objective of the project was to find and create more space within the existing footprint, update and upgrade our room space and the quality of materials, and lastly to create a new custom look within the home, so it would last us for many years to come. The first and most critical phase of the project was to make sure that the existing house bones could withstand the additional loads of adding a new floor to an existing structure. Levi and his team were extremely thorough, they took time to understand our wants, wishlists, and needs. They drew it all out for us so we could clearly see the changes. When it came time for demolition, framing and building the new structures - this process went very quickly - and all the new built items exceeded my expectation in terms of the quality used - as well as the specs it was built to. Additionally, Levi and his team found many existing issues with our building - that he went above and beyond to correct them while we had openings in all our walls. Levi always served as a voice of guidance, a regulation rule follower, and treated our house like it was his own. Nor corners were cut, no shortcuts were made. The best part of the project was that it was completed within the budget and on time - and in this market that is a truly remarkable accomplishment.

We called Karina back and said we'd like to have the kitchen counters out if the same granite. We asked about backsplash and she said they could install it for us, we also purchased the new sink from them. All of the workers are very polite, professional and careful.
