For cleaning, I really like this place! They are always on time, my clothes look great! I bring dresses, blouses, and pants here and have always had good luck. They aren't the cheapest place, but I have had other cleaners lose my clothes in the past so I don't like to risk it to save a couple bucks. Both owners really value your time, making it a quick pickup and drop off procedure. Also, the husband has let me charge a couple times even when I don't meet the $ limit, which is really nice. For alterations, they are expensive! I brought some curtains in and I was shocked at the cost when I came back in. I didn't ask for a quote but the cost of hemming was $50. Young's Cleaners stole my clothes. I initially took in to Young's Cleaners a pair of shorts and a jacket to get a zipper replaced on each March 31, 2020. The receipt says "READY BY Tue 4/14/20 4 PM" and "All Work Done On Premises". I went in twice a month to ask for my repaired clothes and every time the owner, David, told me to wait because he didn't have them and to come back later. Finally, after going on like this for 8 months, I went in on November 21, 2020 with my iPad recording and asked for my clothes or to be paid for them. He told me he would pay me for them but to come back later. After being told for 8 months to "come back later," I told him to either pay me or give me my clothes. I told David I would not be coming back but a person with a subpoena would be. The last time I went through something like this was with Prudential Insurance company who lied to me about a valid claim they denied. That cost them several hundred thousand and me $10,000 for a lawyer to get it. I will sue Young's Cleaners in small claims court and when David doesn't pay, I will attach his business and sue him for all the costs to get the money. He will not be able to sell or do anything else with his business until he pays all costs with interest. read more

Poorly run dry cleaners. Waited for laundry and alterations on my White linen top. On my fourth return it was finally done. But now the top had a mark on it that wasn't there when I brought it in and you could still see the creases on the shirt from when I had worn it. I left it to get it re-laundered and the top came back ruined with pink coloring all over it. The owner only offered to reimburse me for half price of my linen blouse. He finally agreed to Pay for about 3/4 of the price after much discussion about how unfair that was. Then he still wanted to charge me for the alteration work that was done on it even though I can't wear it again. So finally I agreed reluctantly to pay for half of the alterations for a top that I'm never going to be able to wear again! Yes, I am looking for a new neighborhood dry cleaners. read more

I've been using Young's cleaners for over four years now. Even though we have moved to another part of San Jose, still I drive out of my way to use this establishment. My husband's work clothing is consistently pressed well and ready on time. Although ownership has recently changed hands, still the customer service remains fantastic and friendly. Great dry cleaners, I have been a regular customer for many years with no problems. They know exactly how I like my shirts and they are done that way every time. With other cleaners I have seen problems (buttons breaking, odd stains,etc) never at Youngs. They go out of their way to be helpful and also make it clear what they can and can not do. This is a small family owned business, I rarely see anyone but the husband and wife owners and yet they always manage to meet agreed upon deadlines and deliver a quality product. I have used this cleaners off and on for many years. They do a very good job and I recommend them. I did have two shirts ruined (out of about 14 or 15) a few years ago. When I took them in the owner, the owner gave me money in cash to compensate for it. If you go to the cleaners a lot, you know that this happens sometimes. The owner did the right thing and I still go there and I still recommend them to my friends. They are definitely a lot better than a lot of other cleaners in town. One of the reasons that I go here is that the prices are fair and they do a good job. Other cleaners either do a lousy job or they charge too much. read more

The owner lied to me and tried to trick me. Here's the full story: I'm a tall woman and have to order extra-long pants online. Then I have them hemmed to the right length. I took in three pairs of pants to Young's Cleaners get hemmed. I put on the first pair and the owner marked how long I wanted them. I started to put on the next pair, but he said there was no need and that he'd measure the first pair of pants. He had them ready in less than a week. I tried all three pairs on once home. One pair (the pair he had me try on at his shop) was perfect. Two pairs were way too short. I went back to Young's the next day. He asked me to try them on. When I did, he pulled at the cuffs, trying to make them look longer. One pair was 2" too short; the other was 2-1/2" too short. He said he could fix them. I had no idea how--I'd looked inside each leg and it appeared that there was only 3/4" of material folded under--but I gave him the opportunity to fix them. He had them ready two days later. I tried both pairs on while there. They were better, but still a little shorter than I like. Rather than have him reimburse me for two pairs of pants and his alteration fees, I said OK. I asked him "How did you do it?" He said he always left "extra" when hemming. The last thing he said to me was, "I ironed them for you!" The next day, when putting the pants away, I discovered how he "fixed" them. He sewed an extension on to the hems! I brought him brand new, too long pants. He butchered them, then asked for another chance. I gave him a chance, and he ruins the pants. He did NOT tell me his "fix" was to sew a piece of material around the hem of each leg! I'm sure with a few washings it will be very noticeable. If you want someone who will tell you everything's fine, but provide "patchwork," this is the place for you. read more

I've been to many different cleaners in the campbell/san jose area. Most places have 24hr turn around, charge decent prices, and pay attention. This place? 72 hr turn around, insane pricing (2.50/ shirt, 5.00/pants). I received my clothes back to find that not only did they not startch my shirts...wait...that's because they didn't even care to ask, the pants were folded incorrectly, AND THEY COMPLETELY MISSSED LARGE SPOTS ON MY SUIT COAT!!! The guy boasted, "oh, we check everything!!" Cleaner fail! Suffice it to say, they will NOT be getting my business again! NOT worth the price! read more

This is a very good dry cleaner, speedy turnaround time,they are more expensive than a lot of cleaners but it is worth it, Young's Cleaners has gotten it right for me every time. I think it is more expensive to save a few dollars and lose a garment than to pay a few more dollars and get the clothing back in great condition, AND not having to worry is huge. read more

Two weeks ago I brought my wedding dress in to get a quote on how much it would cost to clean it and pack it up in a box. It was a little dirty on the bottom, otherwise it was in perfect condition. The owner told me it would cost $50. I though that was a deal so I left it there. My receipt had no price on it. Today my husband went to pick it up for me and was told it was $200.00!!! He called me immediately. I asked to speak to Young and he said it as $50.00 for the box and $150.00 for the cleaning. He insisted that he told me the price was $200.00. He did not offer a discount or anything. If he would have told me that it was $200.00, I would have went elsewhere and I think he knew that! I feel tricked and ripped off. I had no choice but to have my husband pay for it. I live near youngs cleaners. I have always felt they were a little over priced, but they do a good job for cleaning. Alterations, not so good. I used to think this place did a good job, but they just totally ripped me off. I brought in several shirts which they dry cleaned and I took home. One of the shirts I didn't wear again for about a month and when I went to put it on there was a huge stain on the back. It looked like what you'd get from bleach, it turned my brown shirt yellow. Totally ruined a $100 shirt. So I took the shirt back to show them and see what they would do for me. The lady that was there, the owner, said it was not their fault and that something must have been already on the shirt when I brought it in. She actually said, sometimes when people are drinking sometimes they spill things down their back, or someone else will spill on them and they won't notice. She actually said this, I couldn't believe it! I told her that I thought she owed me at least $80 for the shirt, because it was obviously ruined. She said she'd have her husband, who does some of the cleaning, try it again and call me back. Then when she called me back she said she talked to her husband and actually said he remembered the shirt very clearly and that there was stuff spilled on it when I brought it in. I told her that was impossible, I know there was nothing on the shirt, and I know it's their policy when there are stains they're not sure will come out they tell you beforehand, or if there's a stain they couldn't get out they tag the shirt with a note that says they tried to get the stain out and couldn't. None of this was done, which means they either didn't notice the stain, or they noticed and hoped I wouldn't notice until it was too late. Well I guess they were right, because I didn't notice till it was too late. Maybe if I had caught it before I originally walked out with the shirt they would have done something for me, but not now. I asked the lady, I spend over $100 a month here for dry cleaning and you're willing to never get my money again instead of giving me $80 for this shirt? Well, either her English is that bad or her Math is that bad. Either way they will never get my business again. What a rip-off! read more

Compared to others in the area, Young's offers the most complete line of services (their alterations are superb), and they never wreck your clothes -- especially men's dress shirts, which are easily damaged by inferior laundries.
