That future porch wasn't just a verbal discussion--it was specifically included in my contract and was a major reason I chose this company. Unfortunately, the workmanship has been disappointing from the beginning. The deck boards are uneven and improperly installed, allowing water to pool and collect against the house. There are noticeable gaps in trim and wrapping, the stairs have settled and developed a dip that has caused the railing to bow, and even the stair lights have begun pulling out because of the movement. Whenever I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told everything looked fine or that I needed to wait over a year for the deck to "settle." When the problems continued, the responsibility shifted to me instead of the workmanship. The most disappointing discovery came later. I recently learned that the deck did not pass the county requirements for supporting the future four-season porch that was included in my contract. I now have to spend thousands of additional dollars correcting work that should have been completed properly from the start. What frustrates me most isn't that problems occurred--construction projects can have issues. It's the unwillingness to accept responsibility and the repeated attempts to explain away legitimate concerns rather than deliver the quality and contractual obligations I paid for. For such a significant investment, I expected quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a company that would stand behind its work. Instead, I was left with ongoing workmanship issues, additional unexpected expenses, and a deck that has fallen well short of what was promised. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dupont Decks.

He was top notch to deal with and was there when the State Farm adjuster showed up for the inspection. He coordinated everything about the re-roofing and was there on Saturday all day until the crew was finished. We walked the site and all work was excellent when completed, with attention to details such as 50 year shingles, top end roof vents adding ice and water around the vents and up beyond eves, clean up including tarps to check debris. He inspected the sub roof on both house and detached garage. He arranged for all materials delivered to site and the dumpster to haul out debris. My tenant complained about the roofing crew dropping a bundle of shingles on the roof and leaving a few nails (I believe it woke him up, but he was informed of the activity ahead of time). I am the owner and the landlord. Matthew and his crew were totally professional throughout the process, including one roofing member hopping into action after I open the garage doors and he saw some chips on the floor; immediately took action and blew it out. I have extensive experience in construction both with extensive home remodels myself, contractors building 2 of my homes and doing roofing jobs myself. I am now in the process of working with Mathew Hogan and Experienced Builders to re-side the same house and garage. I do not typically write reviews, but because my tenant gave a poor review and his feelings, I felt compiled to set the record straight. I was not home at the time, they waited for me to get there. As soon as I got there they got right to work fixing the noticeable issues with the door, rails, springs and cables. RUN, don't walk, away from using this company! I've never written a negative review about any…read morecompany before, but this was such a rotten experience I feel people should be warned. We spent $7,000 with Munson to bring plumbing to the top floor of our house for a 2nd story bathroom and to install the toilet, vanity, bathtub and medicine cabinet that we already had. Their sloppy work and lack of attention to detail was unbelievable. Our tub is centered in the middle of a wall (to get a great view out of a window) and the initial installation they made was with PVC pipe. Seriously? PVC pipe in the middle of a bathroom for all to see? I had to request that they re-do it and use metal. We needed a new faucet for our vintage clawfoot tub and asked Andy if he had any that were appropriate, and he showed up with one that looked like it belonged in an airplane bathroom. Ok, so he doesn't have any sense of aesthetics, but when I asked him what other options there were, that maybe he could show me his catalog and I could pick something out, and his response was "This is the only one". Really? Wow. A plumber that has only one option of faucet? He then said I could go and find one myself, which I did, but I couldn't believe his attitude and lack of customer service. They had to reposition the side vanity lights TWICE because neither time they bothered to measure that they were the same distance from the side of the vanity. They also had to reposition the sink cabinet because it was off level by nearly an inch. That's quite a lot! I could see it just by eye, and all I got was pathetic excuses for why nobody bothered to measure in any of these cases. They also did a terrible job of repairing the ceiling where they had to cut it out to put the pipes through, and I had to ask that they redo it. Andy himself promised that all the really nice, 100+ year old wood trim would be painstakingly removed and reinstalled, and when he tried to show me the "finished" room, I had to point out that they had splintered a 5 inch section off of the edge of one of the trim pieces. It makes me wonder if they were just hoping I wouldn't notice? Another small thing, but that goes to show how sloppy and uncaring about their work they are, they left about a dozen nails and chunks of wood in the middle of the driveway. The employees were all very nice and I really liked them, but that's about all I can say that's positive about this company. I strongly recommend you go elsewhere for your plumbing needs.
