Because of that I expected this place to be super high class, super arrogant stylists and overrated and expensive ... BUT IT'S NOT .. to my surprise. The stylists and assistants are super friendly and professional at their job. Originally their interior design scared me a little but it's really Interesting when you look at it closely at an artistic way. (When consulting with stylist Jenny) They're very honest about how they feel about how you want your hair done. They also don't hard sell extra products on you to bump the sale up. If you get the 1 min oil treatment it's adding oil to your wet hair with a nice massage no heating element necessary. $10 They take credit card however cash is 5% tax and if you use credit card it's full 13% tax. They do not accept American Express.

I chose to have a stylist cut my hair yesterday. Honestly I thought the experience was going great…read more The lady who did my wash and dry was really nice and was fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English so my mom was chatting with her and everything, ok cool. Then the stylist comes. I believe his name was Jucci (guy with glasses and greyish hair). He asks what kind of cut I want. I told him I just wanted a trim, and showed him I only wanted it 2 inches shorter max. He immediately laughed and told me, that's not a haircut. It pretty much went downhill from that. If anyone wants a TL;DR, this guy was a dick. My mom was trying to chat with him, since my Mandarin is not that good, but then we realized he couldn't speak Mandarin that well. He was being a little prick about it already, like "LOL uhh.. I don't speak Mandarin that well either". Anyways, I ended up telling him I wanted layers, because my hair did originally have long layers. Then he asked me if I wanted it straight at the back or a v shape. I asked for a v shape, not really knowing he was going to chop off almost all of the hair I dyed a few months ago. Ok, fair enough it was a misunderstanding. My mom started looking over to check on me once in awhile, and this guy has the nerve to say "why does your mom keep doing that? It's pretty rude. Do you guys need to be getting somewhere? .. I'll just take my time then". Wow. I didn't really know what to say, this guy can't even respect his elders and will just say whatever is on his mind to his customers. I know I'm around his age but seriously? It got to the point where he finished cutting one side, and saying "If there is a problem, you guys can just leave, free of charge". At this point I also started checking on the length he cut, because I was pretty shocked at how much he was cutting off. He started freaking out at this point too "You asked for layers, I gave you layers!" as if he deserved so much respect for giving me the opportunity of a haircut. Seriously? At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I waited for him to finish the other side, but he was taking his sweet time as mentioned earlier. He literally took 45min to cut my hair, and continue to thin it. I don't mind long haircuts normally, but it started getting annoying to hear his petty comments. It was already too late when he decided he would only cut one side of my hair. Obviously I can't object and have the other side of my hair look ridiculous. In the end he gave me a bob haircut -- really short layers at the top and super thinned out at the back. This is not what I wanted. I know a lot of people can say that I should've brought in a picture or been more specific about what I wanted, but I think it was mostly this guy's horrible attitude that wants me to give this place a 1-star. For a $40 hair cut, you'd expect better service. Luckily, hair always grows back so I'm not too upset by it as of now. I don't think I'll be coming back again.

They bleached my hair twice totally fried it and bleached it a third time which I felt so much pain because they chemically burned my scalp. They saw I was in pain and told me oh it's itchy it happens to everyone. I think I would know the difference between an itch and a chemical burn from bleaching the hair at the roots. In the process they got bleach on my cheek. As well as bleach on my eye. They also charged me $400 for this are you kidding me. I don't recommend coming here at all if you want to highlight or dye your hair. Oh and the whole process took me 8 hours. Don't ever come here!!!!! The one with the face blurred out is a before pic. In the after picture you can see that it's crooked and they left dye in my hair! They ruined my hair.

My hairdresser argued with…read moreme from the start about what I wanted done, insisting she was the expert and refusing to do the style I'd asked for. The disagreement escalated into a genuine argument, and I ended up in tears and had to leave. What makes this worse: they wasted 40 minutes of my 2-hour appointment on this back-and-forth before deciding they weren't ready to do what I wanted -- and then blamed the lack of remaining time as the reason. I did show up for my appointment. Despite that, the salon charged me the full $200 CAD cancellation fee, coding it as a "no-show." I disputed the charge with Amex and explained exactly what happened, including the 40 minutes I was present and the fact that the salon itself ran out the clock. Amex sided with the salon and I was charged the $200 anyway. I would not recommend Tocci Salon. If you go, be aware that if a stylist decides mid-appointment not to do your service, you may still be billed as if you never showed up.

He's so gentle and really took his time to give me the perfect 'do. I wasn't sure what I wanted but after our consultation, I was 100 percent confident I would love whatever he came up with and that's exactly what happened. This was my first time doing colour at Evoke and again, the service was impeccable. Giovanni did not rest until my colour was absolutely perfect. You can tell he is an expert at his craft and a real artist. He even gave me little plastic protectors so I could wear my glasses without getting colour on them. It's the little things! Overall customer service was wonderful and I will definitely be coming back for all my hair needs. Thank you Evoke!

I showed her multiple photographs from different angles and said I wanted it to be grazing my shoulders and longer in the front. I got the complete opposite. Not only is it shorter in the front face pieces it's also an inch shorter overall than what I wanted. One side has way more layers than the other because she decided to make up the most crooked part when she was cutting and now it's completely uneven all over. The only reason I am giving more than one star is because the salon itself was nice and it was a pleasant atmosphere. However, the mirrors were angled towards the ceiling and I couldn't even see myself in it so I was getting my hair cut without being able to even see what she was doing. I went home from my hair cut and cried for an hour while trying to style it to my liking with no avail. I can't even look at myself in the mirror because I hate my hair so much.
