I was on a desperate search to find a salon that can cut and style my wavy/curly hair without making it frizzy and make it easy for me to style afterwards. You would be surprised how many salons/stylists out there say they're confident in managing textured Asian hair and really don't know what they're talking about. I have never left a salon fully happy. After a lot of research, I reached out to Morph on Yelp and decided to give them a try... And I've never looked back. I go to Peter and he will always be my go-to. He gives you insight on the condition of your hair, what kind of products you should use, and teaches you how to style your own hair at home to make it easy for you to upkeep. He also recommended styles that fit with my hair's texture and length, and what looks best for my face. I like that they also don't oversell you on the products they use - they know the products they have are on the more expensive side. The service you get here is great - there's someone to help take your jacket and put it away, and the brief head massages you get while they wash your hair is heavenly! Extremely disappointed! I went in specifically asking for a silver balayage and this is what I got. I showed him the picture and agreed with the price of 550 for it to be done. I have had my hair cut by Peter / Andy a couple times -- I've also recommended friends here and my mom has come here as well. I don't get my hair cut often but this is the spot I always go to. I've had two major hair transformations here, I've had a pixie cut done twice by Andy, and then a balayage done by Peter. I have naturally medium/dirty blonde hair and Peter was able to create a natural but noticeable balayage which is exactly what I was going for. Both of them are exceptional stylists and I would not hesitate to get my hair done by either of them again. I called as I was desperate to get my hair cut and didn't want to wait weeks. Took a chance and called them up. Luckily I was able to get in the same day. I arrived expecting to see a certain stylist, but was told that he was running behind and the person offered to cut my hair. At that point I really didn't care who would cut my hair as long as it was cut I was happy. The space isn't huge by any means but it wasn't overly tight or overcrowded. I sat down he started cutting and obviously I had no clue if he was a stylist or some assistant so I was a bit nervous. He asked what I wanted and I asked what he thought and he offered some advice on what would look good and I said sure go for it. So he started cutting and I could tell right away that he knew what he was doing and I immediately felt at ease. He cut my hair and than washed it. Thoroughly enjoyed the wash and hair massage. He was very gentle but knew exactly which pressure points to hit. We went back to the chair and he spent time perfecting his creation. Really enjoyed watching him do his work and you could tell he really did care and gave me tips on how to take care of my hair and what products I should be using. Really appreciated the advice. I also inquired about getting my hair coloured, and he gave me a quote and booked me in for the hair colour so I can't wait to see what his magical hands will do next. I only got his name at the end and it was the infamous Peter that everyone talks about. The old adage you get what you pay for I definitely walked in with covid hair and walked out feeling lighter and pampered. I think I have definitely found my new go to. I had actually decided to get a haircut last minute, and contacted the salon off Yelp. Peter replied within maybe an hour of my request, saying that he had an opening the next morning which was perfect for me. Considering that all the reviews off Yelp raved about Peter, I confirmed the appointment pretty quickly. So great booking service there! The next morning, I get into the salon, informed them of my appointment and Peter came to greet me. Another man (I did not get his name) then took my coat and scarf in exchange for a robe. He led me to the hair washing station - he was very attentive, and asked me several times if I was ok with the positioning, the temperature of the water, and if the pressure of the head massage was too strong. Overall pleasant experience. He was blow drying my hair for a little before Peter took over for the haircut. Peter asked me what I wanted, I showed him a couple pictures, and he got the general idea of the style I had in mind - a shorter cut with lots more layers for texture. I wanted to keep the length past my shoulders, and throughout cutting Peter made sure to ask if I was okay with the length. He did the entire cut with scissors, (no damaging razors here) and the end result is EXACTLY what I wanted. He completely evened out my hair from when I was chopping it off myself lmao. Aside from the obvious haircutting skills, Peter as an individual also made the entire experience very pleasant. I like to experiment with my hair, so I bleach my hair at home, by myself. Of course it's harder to see the back, so I have some banding at the back. However, not once did Peter tell me that I shouldn't be messing with my own hair, and that I should come to his salon to get it bleached instead. It would've been so easy for him to upsell the salon services, but he didn't push any of that at all. In fact, he even said it was a pretty good job, and even gave me some pointers on how to get a better bleaching experience - he was so genuine and helpful, never pushy. Peter finished off the cut, paying a lot of attention to the pieces of hair framing my face. He pulled out a mirror so I could see the back of my head (beautiful beautiful layers) and then styled it all nicely by adding in some curls with a hair straightener. What I also really like about the salon is that hair is regularly being swept up, and it looks like that they try to space out the appointments so that it is never too crowded and busy. At my appointment it seemed like the other hairstylists were waiting for their next clients - which is also nice that they didn't try to overbook themselves, even though I did overhear people calling in to see if they were free. 1. I wanted a blonde balayage ombre, i brought in a picture of what i wanted, needless to say it didn't turn out anything like it. My main point i wanted to get across was I wanted it BLENDED. I don't know how many times i said that word that day. I wanted blonde on the ends but have it gradually become blonde by breaking it up with some brown. In the end, a. The blonde in my hair was very contrasting with my natural hair colour. There wasn't really enough brown to break it up. My hair is naturally dark so it did not show up and therefore the blonde is incredibly contrasting against my natural hair. b. It looked very harsh and there was a few areas where there was harsh horizontal AND vertical lines differentiating the black and the blonde. c. my hair where it was bleached had several different tones from orange, yellow, silver, almost white.. it just looked like a mess. 2. Speaking of my hair being white, having asian hair I know how hard it is to lighten. Despite the use of olaplex my hair is incredibly damaged in the areas where it was bleached. Going in, I knew my ends were already damaged but after the bleach & my wash... they were quite literally MELTING AND BREAKING off. WHAT SUCKS IS I have been growing my hair out to be healthy for an entire year in preparation for that day. and now all that for nothing (Not that I didn't expect any damage, but olaplex is supposed to help a bit with it) 3. I was told that the process would take about 4 - 5 hours. I was there for a total of 8 hours. (1pm-9pm) i am not exaggerating. Look, I understand that the stylist was juggling a few clients and I was incredibly respectful about it. I did not say a word (and perhaps I should have) when he told me my hair will process for 30 minutes and he wouldn't be back until an hour or so later. But how am I going to tell a professional how to do their job?! all in all, the stylist who helped me was incredibly nice and I can see that he really wanted to fix it, but my hair was beyond repair. I kept repeating myself over and over again and yet i was still not getting anything close to the photo I brought in. one thing I will say is that the hair CUT turned out nice. he offered for me to come in and get it fixed next time, but honestly, i don't think i will ever go back. i was so incredibly upset because i was so excited going in, and so disappointed coming out. My friends & family cringed at the sight of my hair. It was brutal. and I had to still pay $180. I paid $180 for an incredibly damaged, colour confused, decent haircut. woo. read more

I got my haircut by Andy about a month ago. It was my first time here. I decided to come after seeing many positive reviews on yelp. But now I know I will never return again!! I always had my haircut by the same girl at another salon until she left the country for good. I went to another stylist half a year ago and she didn't do a good job. I specifically asked to not have a lot of layers and she ended up giving me two layers, one at shoulders length and the other layer a few inches longer. When I spoke to Andy, I told him my experience and this time I need to cut my hair shorter so the two layers will meet. We decided to cut it to armpit length. Andy was very patient and the cut was great when he showed it to me. It wasn't choppy and it was what I asked for. HOWEVER, when I tied up my hair into a bun a week after the cut, I realized there were bits of hair coming out everywhere (see picture). For whatever reason Andy has trimmed the inner part of my hair to 2-3 inches long and whenever I tie up my hair, bits of hair stick out. That picture was taken a month after my cut. Imagine how short my hair was in the beginning!!! Now I have to put on a lot of hair clips so I won't look like a freaking sea urchin. Andy might have good intentions behind cutting my hair like this, but what he could have done was to consult with me first. It is very ironic that he commented that my previous stylist should have asked me before doing the layers. But he himself did the same thing - doing whatever he saw fit without asking. It is my hair and I should have control over how it will look like under different styles. I tie up my hair all the time and I love having a natural looking bun. Now I always have to check if there's hair sticking out. Not to mention that I will need to do my hair for my wedding in a couple of months. Fun times. read more

I read several reviews & decided that I would give Huen a try. I showed her a picture of the colour I wanted & she said that she could do it no problem, she gave me a high quote but, I was willing to pay $ for the colour that I wanted. After four hours & being the last ones in the salon, aside from the owner. She had to give up. I told her that the colour looks nothing like the picture & her reply was that she mixed to much purple into the colour. She then charged me more for the time that she used trying to fix her mistake. Get Andy for haircuts! Enjoy the hair washes as you get a nice head massage - my favorite part!

Do not go here if you want a balayage ombré! Cary was the stylist who did my hair. I came in with a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like which you can see below and I specifically asked if they could do it like the picture. They promised they could and said they would be charging me $280 but after bargaining they said $240 (it's still a lot but thank God I bargained because I would be paying close to $300 for an awful hair job). I emphasized the point that I wanted the colour to be a SINGLE coloured blonde blend like the photo multiple times. Throughout the hair dying process, he missed multiple large strands of hair that were to be put in the foil and ignored them even though he realized he made a mistake. He also placed some of the bleach all the way up to my hair parting and some extremely low creating an uneven and horrendous blend. Since the salon is pretty dark, I couldn't really see it at the time but once it hit the outside light, I was horrified. There was 100 different shades of orange, brown, white, and blonde and my hair was an absolute mess. Addtionally, they seem to charge a higher price each time you go. Very inconsistent. I'm very disappointed especially after reading all the good reviews. I won't be going back after this incident. read more

I chose this salon for my first ever hair cut by someone else (usually cut my own hair) bc of the reviews on yelp. service was good and the hair wash and head massage was really nice as well. My stylist was Andy who was super nice and aware/careful about my cut. Decided to try Morph for a haircut instead of my usual place, as I was looking for somewhere a bit cheaper. I requested an appointment through Yelp and was able to get one the very next day. Peter responded to my request quickly, so it was easy to book without having to call in. I went in to the appointment about 15 mins early and was taken in within minutes. Had my hair washed first before the cut, which included a head massage as well, which was nice. I had my hair cut by Cary and overall I was impressed with his attention to detail, as well as taking the time to perfect the style that I wanted. I keep my hair in an A-line long bob that grows out quite quickly, so I asked for it to be cut shorter. My usual stylist cuts it dry with scissors, and maybe takes about 15-20 mins to cut. But Cary took time to cut and shape my hair to my desired style with scissors and a razor. He cut it first when it was wet, blow dried it, and then continued to cut dry until he was satisfied with the shape. It was probably one of the longest cuts I've ever sat for as it was already an hour later when he finished. However, I appreciate the time he took to perfect the style and I was pleased with the result. Price for the cut was super reasonable as well - $36, and was the same as what was quoted. I've paid double the price at other salons and don't get the same type of service and quality. Overall, I am pleased with this salon and would highly recommend. Will probably return again. read more

To the point - I freaking love Peter. He did wonders with my hair. So before I came back to Toronto, I went to get my hair cut. Disastrous. Just terrible (a Yelp review to come). Bangs were too short and my hair just fell...oddly. My hair has since been bobby pinned and tied back in a pony tail ever since. I didn't think it could be saved. Coming back home, all three of my sisters told me to go to Peter at Morph. They all love him. By the way they talk about him, you'd think he'd have powers to make your hair grow. My sisters are pretty different so if they all liked/loved him that much, I figured he must be pretty good. I decided to give it a shot - my hair was already awful so what the heck. Morph is in Peach Tree Plaza at Kennedy and Hwy 7, in the same building as Congee Wong. It's right behind it, so the most north east building in the plaza. It's a small store front so it's easily missed. At a plaza like Peach Tree where it's all Chinese I would originally be intimidated to go in since my Chinese is very conversational but my sister told me that Peter speaks English well. When I went in everyone here speaks English. Peter is part owner of Morph which opened 4 years ago. This place has a Chinese hipster vibe though no attitude and everyone here is friendly and approachable. There's an old vintage piano, exposed brick wall with great music playing in the background (they played A Fine Frenzy which was good enough for me). Peter was great - he listened to my disaster story and with his calm & soft voice (it really is calming and soft) he reassured me he could fix it - even my bangs. My bangs?! Yeah, my bangs! I was doubtful and said a few times how fearful I am of getting my hair cut too short but he was nice about it. He took his time with my cut and explained why he cut the way he did (apparently Chinese hair is different from Caucasian hair so it should be cut differently). After about an hour and a half it was done and now I can let my hair down and put away my bobby pins. Thank God for Peter. Is this overly dramatic? Perhaps, but as a girl a great hair guy is so hard to find. So hard. The fact that he was able to fix my short bangs is probably as close to making my hair grow as I'll get. The owner Peter helped me fix my hair today from the damage caused by another stylist (free of charge as promised). i honestly felt like my hair was touched by the hands of an angel. He was very gentle & attentive. My hair was very damaged and he fixed it. I had some doubts at the beginning but he did it. It was very hard to comb my hair before the treatment but during the treatment he was VERY gentle throughout the whole time. 10 points for Peter! (As for the comments from Andy's friends below, I will upload a pic of the color sample & actual color that came out, one grayish hair & brownish color palate. Extremely different. And the whole price changing thing well I'm not the first to experience it after posting it on my fb wall i found that someone else has also experienced it (for hairdye). @Jessica - As for the whole suing thing, i would be happy to go to court. The second time, the hair didn't turn out completely straight but upon calling the salon I was told to come in and they were happy to fix it for me. The staff is great and thorough in what they do. Background: I had a stylist that did my hair since I was a child. She retired two years ago and that was the last time I got a cut. I was spoiled by my old stylist who charged only $20 for wash/cut and always did a scalp massage. That is the standard I am expecting. I am currently looking for a place to give my repeat business. After scouring Yelp, I decided to check out Morph. Location: In the Peachtree Plaza. Once you turn in, you will see Keung's Delight, turn into the right parking lot. Morph Hair Design will be on the right. The photo Jennifer K uploaded is very helpful for finding the store front. Ample parking and convenient for Markhamers. Facility is neat and clean. Hipster vibe, but staff is very friendly. They are mainly Cantonese/Mandarin speaking but are also fluent in English. Closed Tuesdays. Quality and Price: Women's wash and cut came out to $35 (plus tip, I paid $40). I asked for a low maintenance cut, medium-long length. I am generally pleased with my cut, though not blown away. My stylist used scissors to create light layers instead of a razor. Service: My appointment was on a weekday evening at 4:30. When I arrived, I sat and waited for about 2 minutes (very quick) before being greeted by my stylist and the assistant. My stylist was Huen. She did a quick consultation about what I wanted and pulled out a book with Japanese/Korean/Asian styles to show me what she was thinking of. I left it up to her professional judgement. The wash itself was quite long in my opinion. To the point where my hair felt "squeaky" in her hands. The scalp massage was nice but too short. I suppose I am spoiled by my old stylist who spent the larger half of the wash time conditioning and massaging. The wash chair is quite large, I had to push up (since I am petite) so that my neck and head would reach the basin. Considering how long the wash was, my legs for tired from propping myself up. My stylist, Huen, was lovely. She spoke to me in Cantonese but is able to speak Mandarin and English as well. Sometimes I like to chat, but on this particular work day, I was tired and didn't feel like a lot of small talk. Huen could take the cue and simply asked me a few prompting questions about my hair and just worked the rest of the time. It was quite relaxing. I never felt pressured to converse at all. Huen layered with scissors, not a razor. She was very gentle and quick. I didn't feel any "pulls" while she cut. She asked me if I would like some water and I said yes to cold water. Her assistant ended up bringing me warm water (which is fine, I'm not picky, but Huen had repeated herself to her assistant). During blowdrying, I noticed that the dryers if very quiet. Huen is soft-spoken and I could still hold a conversation while the blowdryer was going. She also covered my water while she dried, which was thoughtful, and prompted me to drink when there was a lull in the process. I mentioned that I curl my hair on occasions. Huen suggeseted curling my hair today just to see what it looked it. She did it without an extra charge. And in fact, it made my cut look so much nicer!! Overall: I am quite happy with my experience at Morph. Having Huen as my stylist was a pleasure. Morph is definitely contender for my return business. I may try one or two more salons in the future before deciding which business to commit to. Morph scores a solid 4/5 for me. read more

I've been with Peter and Andy since their Spellbound days and when the moved so did I. I don't usually review non food places or even coffee shops like Starbucks let alone check in but I've been here like x years (never give away a girl's age) so I thought it's about time I told everyone how much I love this place. I literally will not let anyone else other than Peter touch my hair. Well except on my wedding day and when I was in desperate need to cut my hair short for personal reasons. He's very experienced and knows what will look good based on the shape of your head and face. I have a heart shaped head and A LOT of hair. He has NEVER let me cut it super short even when I was in break up craziness. He knew I'd come to regret it once I came to my senses. It's a bit more pricey but worth it. Usually does an Okay job with hair cutting. Went to get a digital perm and they totally fried my hair. I've done a perm with them before and it turned out ok. But in general the perm does come out a bit dryer than this other place in Hong Kong that I've done it at. Also kinda bad is that they didn't really acknowledge frying my hair and just kinda let it go... I'm not one to make a big fuss about it and tend to avoid conflict so I wanted to wait a few days before I made a comment. I had to do a lot of at home treatment to my hair to get it better and there's still a section of my hair that's really fried. They didn't seem too familiar with the digital perm machine.. so I wouldn't recommend going here for that. Other wise, hair cuts and colouring are good. read more

Huen has been my go to hair salonist for the last year or so. You can give her a picture and she cuts exactly as shown on the picture. She's very precise with her cuts and spends her time to ensure every angle is covered. She does wonderful job with her cuts and it shown by colleagues, family, and friends that compliment my hair. She's also very friendly whether you're the type that enjoys starting conversations or just to get your hair done. I've only taken one point off, as it's sometimes very difficult to communicate with her to set an appointment. I usually message her ahead of time to set an appointment, but recently it has become difficult as she is non-responsive. I would then have to consider to take a cut at another salon to meet approaching special occasions. Maybe she's getting too popular lol. read more

So I went to Morph after checking reviews on Yelp, and decided to go with Peter since most people said he was pretty good. I booked my appointment at 4:30, and when I got in I had to wait. I expected this though since the reviews say he does take his time, and the next client might end up having to wait a bit. 30mins later, someone calls me up for a hair wash. Pretty good, they massage your scalp, and make sure to wash thoroughly. Now, here's where it starts to go downhill. After the wash, I was seated, and thought Peter would come for my haircut. Nope. I had to wait 45mins. Now, if i include the initial 30mins wait, the hair wash, and the 45mins wait, I had to wait for 1.5hours until 6 for someone to actually start cutting my hair. The only reason why I didn't leave earlier was because I really wanted to try this place, and free wifi. When I did tell one of the stylists that I was going to leave, and to remove my robe, Peter finally came. As for the actual haircut, he was pretty good. I could tell he has a lot of knowledge, as he knew to cut my side hair shorter, and closer to the skull since it goes outwards instead of going down. He also gave me tips on how to take care of and style my hair. Overall, the actual haircut was a good experience, but was a bit more pricey than other places I've been to ($43). 3 stars due to the wait, otherwise I would have given it a 4. read more

Andy colours my hair every few months, and it looks great each time. Longer, more complex jobs cost more, such as the only time I did bleaching 2 years ago. Over the years, he's subsequently coloured my hair bright purple, medium purple over residual pink, and dark purple (which takes longer to fade to pink/blonde). Each time, my hair looks lovely. (I don't ask him to make my hair look exactly like a picture, rather I tell him generally what colour I want and leave it in his hands). He recommended particular shampoos for my coloured hair and it helped keep the colour longer and silvery. The highlights and back of my hair were fine, though the highlights were a bit faded. Peter seemed unable to follow instructions I gave regarding my bangs though. I told him to keep them as side bangs, but he instead made them full bangs with weird feathery strands of hair, giving me a permanent messy look. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, all he did was tell me I should use hairspray or let my hair grow out to fix it. I'm sorry but for a FIFTY DOLLAR HAIRCUT I expected better. It's ridiculously expensive (totaled to about Edit: $170) for mediocre service and results. Not coming back. I was so disappointed. Edit: It has occurred to me that I have not fully expressed how frivolously overpriced his services were. We were charged an additional $20 for shampooing on top of what was charged for highlighting to get us to pay for the haircut as well. I'm only giving two stars because of the huge disparity between the climbing pricing and the actual results. He also told me not to cut my bangs myself after he had ruined them. Very professional salon. The environment is very pleasant. I requested Huen because of all the pictures of the dyes she's done. I had very difficult hair - half bleached with many colours washed out and hidden in strands of hair. I wanted to get rid of all the leftover colour, and replace it with a purple ombre as well as a trim. Huen listened to exactly what i wanted, and she always told me what she was going to do before she did it. She was also very careful of not damaging my hair. My hair turned out perfect, exactly what i wanted. I imagine it wasn't easy to achieve. She also charged me exactly what she told me it will cost in the beginning. The total costed $190 for a cut, colour removal, and recolouring. It would have costed me at least 250 to 300 at some of the other salons I've inquired. I will be returning for sure. read more

I did some research online for a hair salon in Markham area and I decided to try out Morph because of the good reviews so far.. and I am glad that I did! First of all, I really loved Morph's cool, unique interior deco! I think it really has its own vibe and pizazz to it. Stylist for my appointment was Wilson. I was in the mood to be a bit daring with my cut and colour, and asked Wilson for some suggestions. He gave me couple ideas that I haven't thought about before and I decided to give it a go. I felt that Wilson really took the time and care to do my hair, and I felt at ease because of this. Overall, I was very pleased with my hairstyle and the price was reasonable as well. Went in 30 min before closing for what I thought would take no time at all, Jonathan stayed a whole hour past closing making sure everything was perfect! You can really tell he is highly skilled. I took a photo with me and he made exact to what I showed him. (he says for best results no matter where you go bring a photo!) The service of everyone is incredible, they seem happy to please and never make you feel rushed. Very clean beautiful workspace as well. Absolutely recommend!! read more

Not really a 4, but higher than 3.5/5. Got a haircut here by Andy about half a year ago. The consultation felt a bit rushed. I felt like I was bombarding my stylist with info because he did not really ask any questions beyond "what do you want" and I wasn't sure if we were on the same page. I asked for long layers, something easy to maintain that would work with my thick, coarse, wavy hair. Again, I would have liked Andy to explain what he was doing during the haircut. At one point I panicked a little because he seemed to be slicing through a lot of my hair. He did take his time though, but I would have liked a little more communication, just to make sure we were on the same page. The styling wasn't that great but I find this happens a lot in hair salons so honestly it's not a big deal. The waves in my hair had become totally undefined after all the combing and cutting, and stylists tend to drown my hair in curl creams and twirl it in an attempt to get the curl back. In reality, I just needed to wash my hair again! Which I did when I went home, and to my relief, the haircut looked pretty good. He fixed the damage done during my last cut. No weird pieces sticking out, no triangle hair. My hair was less bulky and my waves lay nicely. It grew out considerably well too. I was worried about the short pieces the slicing would leave but it turned out fine. It was the first time in a long time that I didn't have to try and fix the haircut afterwards. Overall, one of the better haircuts I have gotten in my life, but I'm not sure if I would return as it is still not entirely what I am looking for. read more

This is the WORST hair salon you can possibly go to. I went today to see Andy to get a simple balyage.HE TOOK 8 HOURS AND HE COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY HAIR. HE LEFT BLEACH IN MY HAIR FOR 4 HOURS!! I wish I was exaggerating. I literally cried in that chair. My hair is totally burnt. He had the nerve to charge me $250 for ruining my day and burning all my hair off. I want to actually bring a civil action against his negligence. At 1pm Andy put bleach in my hair. I asked for blended highlights. My hair was not completely black so he didn't need to bleach it for 4 friggin hours. He decided that he needed to bleach my whole head. After I complained he finally had someone else wash off my hair. The reason why he couldn't do it himself is because he serviced 3 other clients while my hair was burning. He only came to check once. Then when the bleach was washed off I was horrified because my hair literally was breaking.... it was so dry and brittle. He still was working on another client and refused to see me. When he finally came to see me... around 6pm, he saw the damage done to my hair and preceded to try to dye my hair back to the natural brown.... it didn't work... instead he turned my hair this atrocious grey....I look like I've aged 60 years overnight...i cried in his chair and just wanted to get out. The only reason he came to check on my hair is because I burst out in tears looking at the damage he caused my hair. I'm still crying at the damage he's done. He didn't even balyage my hair the colour I requested... he unilaterally decided to go with this silver grey colour. My hair is so damaged, burnt and an ugly colour. The next morning I called the salon and spoke with Peter. Peter and Andy co own the place apparently. Peter is EXTREMELY rude and only cares about money not client satisfaction. He basically told me that unless my hair is falling off my head, it's all fair game. He refused to reimburse me or offer any reasonable alternative. Please PLEASE DON'T GO HERE. I have dyed my hair plenty of times and no one has EVER been so negligent, inefficient, crude, and incompetent. This place isn't even cheap so it's not like you are saving money going here. I am out $250, i'm crying myself to sleep, and tomorrow I have to go and chop off all my hair to get rid of this burnt grey hair that's on top of my head. I'm so sad, angry and upset. I wish you a better experience and I really hope you choose to go literally ANYWHERE else except here. If you read any of the other reviews you will notice a trend: incompetence, slow and can't dye hair to save their lives. If you go in for a haircut you might be alright but dying your hair here is definitely a mistake. I wish I'd done my research to know what I know now. read more

I too am a victim of Andy Tao's flawed technique and declining quality, after being a long time customer. During my final visit, he was always on personal calls, distracted, and he kept trying to squeeze more money from me. After my perm was done, he left me there waiting for more than 10 minutes, and my hair was totally burnt. I simply left in disgust and never went back. Tiffy's review is in line with my final experience. The only thing I find shocking is that he is STILL THERE after all this time. How many more angry customers before the owner fires him? read more

I got Peter to cut my hair twice. The first time I showed him a picture and he cut my hair very similar to the picture which was very nice. He became my new fav stylist at that time. The second time I went, I didnt bring a picture and asked him to suggest a style for me and I did not like it... it wasn't even because I didn't like the "style", it was more so I felt that because it was no longer my first time there, I was considered a "usual" customer cuz he didnt really spend that much time or detail on me, the hair cut felt rushed and I didnt like the way he cut the ends of my hair, it was very sloppy...it was prolly the worse hair style ive had for a very long time..
